There's something I like to call professionalism and can be perfectly seen in how mangaka like Kei Sasuga or just recently Taishi Tsutsui handle angry readers because of series developments: they don't fucking care. It's as easy as that. They're creating a product in which they know they can make decisions with different consequences whenever their readers encounter them. And if you make one of those decisions, you need to be clearly aware of what can it bring. The thing about early scans is just useless to include since that's a way different topic caused by distributors and the whole schedule of the business. But that's where actual mangaka's maturity level comes in: they need to behave like adults, because they're treating with kids. I'm not justifying those raging kids in the least, but please, how many of them are western kids that read every series in kissmanga and haven't even bought a single volume. Of course, this is just generalization, but there's a point that I'm trying to explain: thinking that you or your product can be publicly exposed in order to achieve some sales or popularity results and at the same time not getting a single complaint or stupid comment it's UTOPIAN.
If you as a person are sensible enough not to want to see those comments directly yourself, then sure, but first of all, that will still be impossible because series discussion will keep existing and you'll just be playing the if I don't see it, it doesn't exist game; and secondly, you're throwing away your chances of getting popular enough in social media by whatever you achieve because of fear. And as sad as it can get, this is a business, and there's competition. It's way better to face stuff bravely and use your experience to improve.
