They're both showing signs of possibly approaching the end.
Plus Yozakura has generally had worse placements than Mitama so far (it's good last issue, but spends a lot of time in the bottom 3 which Mitama doesn't), and they've cancelled higher sellers in favour of a low selling gag manga that are higher up on the ToC in the past.
I wouldn't be surprised if they both get cancelled about the same time unless this latest issue's high ToC placement for Yozakura keeps happening.
Why would they cancel them when 3 or possibly even 4 established series are ending this year with Neverland, Haikyuu and WNL. I heard Yuuna might be close to ending as well, though I don't read it, so I can't confirm.
Neverland will most certainly end before the next serialization round. Then Guardian of the Witch has been in last place in rankings for a while and will most certainly get cancelled. Apart from that, we don't even know how many new series there will be during the next round. If it's just two, then Neverland and GotW are the most likely series that will open up new spots.
Jump currently is in a very high need of new established series due to so many series ending soon and Yozakura definitely is a contender for that. It wouldn't be a clever move of them to cancel Yozakura over something like GotW.
