The way I see it Act-age hadn't had an anime announcement by the time it was cancelled, and it was selling over 100k a volume, no way Yozakura is getting an anime announcement before Act-age would've.

That's not how it works and it also had a anime adaptation in production according to leakers, it was just not announced yet.

Most of Jump manga have anime announcement between 70-90/100 chapters, and Yozakura has already 80 chapters

Yeah, but series like Yozakura and Undead aren't that big sellers like Jump used to have, so not having a anime announced right during 80 ~ 90 chapters seems normal, 2nd anniversary feels more like the right time but personally i think at most we will have to wait for Jump Festa.

Why you're trying to push a personal opinion as a fact? where it was badly received? here in the forum? ToC placements doesn't show the whole picture at all and doesn't reflect in the tankobon releases that were well received from the start and kept growing by each volume, if Yozakura was badly received in the beginning it wouldn't have survived for a entire year, it only became really serious after 50ish chapters.

Tirakai you're just taking some lower placements that the series had during the first year and taking it in a literal way as if it's a literal representation that a portion of the series was badly received when we know that the ToC doesn't work exactly like that, we're talking about who knows how many thousands of people that actually fill a questionnaire where they can only vote for 3 of 19/20 choices each week, series like Agravity Boys got 99% of its run in the bottom which never reflected the very positive reception that the series had within the volume releases.

The idea of many parts of Yozakura being "badly received" but still surviving for over a whole year on Shonen Jump doesn't make much sense, if many parts of the series were disliked, enough people would had just quit, the series would not recover from it and the manga sales & reception would also drop leading to the inevitable cancelation, the classic thing which didn't happened because it kept growing, and with this i'm not trying to say that the series was super praised, but that there's a difference between having some lower placements and actually being disliked which we know it always reflect in the series as a whole.

Yes. Until now, its highest placement was 2nd in Issue 32 of 2020.

The chapter that should be ranked in this week's TOC is chapter 53, the first part of Mash v Carpaccio, which was imo the best chapter yet and totally deserves this spot.

It'd be pretty interesting to see two U19s from a single batch, but it's still a bit early for that.
