Stop talking about magu ending, the series is going to boost and last more than 100+ chapters
yes this so much. reminds me when people thought yozakura would end early.

And the Toc even this week is really short

I know you're both fans of the series and don't want to be negative about it but Magu-chan is still an unsafe series in the magazine at the end of the day. Among all the ongoing series in 2021 it's in the bottom 5 for its average TOC placement and it's sales haven't increased across the volumes. It's getting a fair amount of promotion still which saves it from immediate danger and it's not an axebait series like Candy Flurry, but you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you think it'll get a sudden boost and last for 100+ chapters especially with all the new series we have that seem to be cementing their place in the magazine currently.

The Mission: Yozakura Family comparison isn't really apt either - it survived near the bottom early on due to the circumstances of other veteran series ending and by the time it had established itself and started increasing in sales/TOC there was space in the magazine for it to do so comfortably. Magu-chan and some other 2020 series will have a harder road ahead of them if we do start getting more potential hits in the future.

As for the TOC, like others are saying it's hard to look too into it considering how volatile it is. Lovely seeing Undead Unluck in the second spot though. Interesting, Ayakashi Triangle being 14th place is its lowest ever ranking as well.

Yeah but unless it's in bottom 2 or bottom 3 no need to worry. Most of time it ranks 10 or 11th lately... if we follow this logic then also Roboco, HSF and Ayakashi should end then ;)

Red Hood gets many bad reviews in Japan. Some people guess Red Hood can't survive very long.

Do you remember when Jujutsu volumes 17 and 18 were supposed to be released?

To be clear, the volatile state of the magazine means that nothing is in danger right now, not that nothing will be in danger ever. Based on current trends Magu, followed by HSF, are the most likely to end when the magazine settles down again in 16-20 weeks. However, Magu has a chance to end quite naturally when that happens. Its story has been moving towards a conclusion for a while now.

That said, no one is saying "your series is definitely going to die". But Magu is among the least safe series in the magazine by a long shot. Things could change and it could start doing really well, but until then it's wise to manage your expectations.

I know the 18 SE releases in late December, but that's it.

In Weekly Shonen Jump cover, Luffy appears with a blue astronaut overalls. There will be a special collaboration between One Piece and JAXA (The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency).

I believe that at this point it will never come out.
I mean, it'll come out when there are enough chapters obviously. It's a bit premature to say JJK is never coming back.

HxH on the other hand...

Volume 17 will be out for sure by the end of the year, as long as Akutami can design at least the cover.

Saikyo cover is so fun.

Goku and Luffy: Friendship with Toriko Naruto is over, Tanjirou is now our new best pal
Did they change the Saikyo Jump cover design or is this a 1 issue thing?

Isn't 2nd place the highest UU got so far? I remember something like 4th or 5th as its highest TOC ranking until now. Good to see that last week wasn't a one time thing, hope it gets a color page real soon and sometimes around its 100th chapter an anime announcement. Now if only its sales were rising as well...

This have me question why doesn't shonen jump have the neverland duo officially come back and make a new manga not just make one-shots.

Undead have a faithful following but it have a hard time gaining new fans. The manga either need a official recommendation from a big author or anime

I mean they just ended TPN last year, the duo probably wants to enjoy their money/free time before diving back into the grind, highly doubt Jump isn't trying to get them back soon
