None of the big three or second tier, strangely. ES22 33 will be coming, so will ToRa 12. While they both sell well they're well behind the D. Gray Man, Reborn, Gintama tier. Mago 3 is definitely coming out, Toriko 3, Sket 6, and Psyren 4 should be to. With none of the top series coming it will be very interesting to see how the newer series do.

I liked most of the covers except for Gintama and Bleach's...

Gintama's a bit too lazy in my opinion

As for Bleach, I was hoping for Kensei, but got Shinji instead...

The Neuro cover is just average in my opinion, Aya's cover is by far my favorite (lol), followed by HAL's...

As for Bleach, I was hoping for Kensei, but got Shinji instead...

I actually would have gone with Hiyori: she hasn't gotten one yet and her connection both to Urahara and to "the incident" really are emphasized. Though next time...somehow my mind tells me Yumichika but my common sense says it will be Shuuhei.

The Neuro cover leads to me believe that it's a straight-shota volume rather than a serialized manga.

The reason I say straight-shota is because most volumes covering that genre of ****** are of adult females with skimpy outfits or provocative poses.

That's one possiblity... but she wasn't nearly interesting enough to be on the cover during the Past Arc. Yes, this is my opinion, but I still think Kensei was MUCH cooler than Shinji (lol)

Oh come on, Bleach 34 with Nel for cover was much MUCH more skimpy.

Well... To tell you the truth, I'm pretty sure that ToLoveRu 12 would probably top the sales chart for this batch... (I'm not sure if ES21 33 would be able to pull an upset, with TLR having low spot on the ToC)

It'd be interesting to see how Bakuman performs against Mago, Psyren, and Sket.

Yes, I was referring to Bakuman. Also, I love seeing new Mago and Psyren covers. Tolove always does well though.

The new Akamaru Jump for Winter '09 webpage is up. The issue is coming out 1/10/09 with the following

-Osamu Akimoto (KochiKame) - Kakimaru (one-shot)
-Yasunori Tanaka (Hitomi no Catoblepas) - Kagijin (one shot)
-Shuichi Aso (Boku to Watashi no Yuushagaku) - Sanjou Shonen Tantei File (one shot)

Erm, no, that's Aso's 1-shot... you can tell by looking at the names of the authors right under the preview pics.

Tanaka's 1-shot is called kagijin, which literally means "Key-man".

I'm also wondering why Reborn! is so low. Maybe the same thing that happened to One Piece a while ago?

I really want to see Psyren trade places with Inumaru. At least Sket and Mago are doing well.

No idea what happened to Reborn... but it could be just a fluke in the tally...

BTW, why didn't anyone comment on the fact that Bakuman is so ahead in this one...
