Out of curiosity, what is on the cover this week? What gets color? Kind of cool that Sket is getting another novelization. Is Aimoto's new series cover for issue 42?

Cover for issue 41 is Aimoto's new series, Hokenshitsu no Shinigami. Cover for issue 42 is also a new series, Lilienthal.

Lilinthal looks a bit.....odd. A talking dog is involved. Could be interesting, based on the length of the one shot I'm expecting a 20p. series rather then a 9 page gag.

I've always thought the only thing Jump was missing is a talking dog. If he solves crimes it would be perfect

It's weird, the one shot just came out in June and it's already getting serialized. The one shot of Medaka was only 10 weeks old when chapter 1 dropped, but Medaka has a famous author attached.

Akaboshi's big escape is amazing.... But I would rather see Akaboshi or Kagijin get canceled than Medaka.
It's a bit too early to judge anything I guess.
Wonder where exactly Akaboshi go ranked. If it's barely above bottom 5, it's not gonna matter much, but if it's higher up, it's gonna be interesting.
Kagijin is dead for sure.

Don't get to excited. Sket Dance and Beelzebub won't be staying in the bottom five. Can't rely on the big series to yo - yo every week. If the cancellation rumors prove false Akaboshi will fall back down next week.

It's definitely got a very 'Keroro Gunsou' type feel to it, just without the aliens. The one chick in it treats the dog Lilnthal like Natsumi does Keroro. :-p While the dude seems to be more like Fuyuki. I didn't read too deeply into the one shot, but that's the impression I got from what I did read.

Lillenthal's got my interest since it's from the guy who did the Trigger Keeper oneshot recently.

But with the quality of the last few series I'm still pretty wary.

The art is very interesting, until I know what it's about I don't want to judge it, but Lilienthal looks more interesting then Aimoto's new series. Which I've had the bad luck of reading.

This quarters magazine circulation figures have been posted. Jump remains the only magazine to improve circulation, if only by 6000 or so copies. Still, in this day and age that is a really big deal.

All posts about Medaka Box have been deleted as off topic.

I worried about Medaka and Akaboshi because they still didn't get another colour page. It has been very long time since they got last colour, both chapter 2. I hope they get another colour soon.

Naruto's 10th year anniversary is coming soon. I hope other mangakas do their design of Naruto, just like One Piece's 10th year anniversary.

Kinda reminds me of the huge gap between colour pages in Psyren between chapter 18 and 55. Now it seems it gets colours every 10 chapters or so.

Series in the bottom five don't get color. Series in the back half of the magazine get less color. The most expensive advertising space surrounds the color pages. If readers skip the series with color pages they don't see the front and center advertising. If they don't see the front and center advertising the advertisers spent money for nothing.
