I couldn't throw money at them fast enough if they released Nejimaki out here. I'd gladly stop translating it to support a legal release of...hell, anything Nakayama Atsushi draws.

I would also like to have Tokyo Ghoul.

Just because you can read Japanese doesn't mean you can't read English easier.
This pretty much. Though I sorta feel like this is a thinly veiled insult. I'm a native English speaker and while I can read Japanese,--I feel much more comfortable reading things in English. Besides it's not really much fun being in a fandom because most of a series's material isn't TLed or availble outside Japan. Two things that can be fixed if a series is licensed.

Nah, it wasn't an insult. I did consider asking how what people who could translate do was relevant to the conversation, though.

I personally buy more Japanese stuff than English even though it's harder/impossible for me to read for the sole reason that even with all the crazy import fees and all that, it's still so much cheaper than buying the same volumes in English. I try and get at least a volume or two of any series I actively follow once it's released in English, although I seriously can't afford to get everything. Going digital would probably help my wallet a lot, but that just wouldn't work for me for various other reasons. One major con to buying English releases, though: it makes it that much more apparent how ridiculously cheesy all the dialogue is when I don't have to work to translate it in my head.

Cheesy dialog can work if the person handling it is pretty good at their job. That being said, I get what you mean.

If I like a manga, I'll buy both the Japanese and English versions. I've bought all of Viz's HXH and Gintama, and would buy TK Ghoul and Nejimaki if they were available in English despite one being fairly easy to read online, and owning the complete run of the other. It helps that 95% of what I read is Japanese only so I don't have to double dip. To stay on topic, I do think that more of the Young Jump stuff should be brought over to compliment the WSJ, and an online mag would be a great way to test the waters.

Thank you. Looks like ai will have to make another order this month. Picked up Barcelona no taiyou and Hinamaru Zumou. Maybe Boku Girl too then......

Either there is a sequel coming.

Or that means Ishida Sui nevers bullshits. When he writes a tragedy, you read a tragedy.

I guess theres no better time to end your series than when its at its most popular moment.
