Again, this is absolutely false.

The Island at the end of the Log Pose doesn't contain Poneglyphs, it's an Island that informs about their existence; no narrator is needed. He could only have met Oden after he learnt of the information at the end of the Log Pose Island. This Island is what leads to Oden and anything related to One Piece.

You're making up things on the fly, lol.

Yes, after he'd been to the Island at the end of the Log Pose and acquired information like everyone else.

Doesn't need to, he just said he wasn't interested in treasure, didn't see he didn't want to be Pirate King.

Yes, after he'd been to the Island at the end of the Log Pose and acquired information like everyone else.

Roger also never found Raftel when Shiki confronted him.... he found Ancient Weapons.

Roger hadn't found Raftel when he encountered Shiki, it explicitly states so.

It's 2 years after the Ed War he got to Raftel.

If you read the earlier parts of the Big Mom arc.. Roger was shown the Road Poneglypg to get to Raftel 26 years ago, and Shiki and Roger fought 27 years ago. So, no, Roger hadn't been to Raftel at that point.

Information about the Ancient Kingdom has been given through the Poneglyphs throughout that manga, so it's very likely that the information on Raftel are also written on Poneglyphs. Roger could decipher them without Oden but there may not have been anyone on WB's ship who could. Beyond that, we don't know the kind of help Oden was to both Roger and WB and why he was on their ship seeing as Roger himself was able to decipher Poneglyphs.

Everybody following the log pose eventually reaches the last island and WB was no exception. After that point, it was up to him to decide to continue searching for Raftel or not and he decided not while Shiki and Roger continued.

WB not only said he didn't want treasure but also what he wanted. If his crewmates back then hadn't asked him what he wanted to which he responded a family, there'd be room for speculation like becoming pirate king but Oda gave us an answer and the only answer given was a family.

Shiki approached both Roger and WB to propose partnerships so we know his motives and we also know Roger actually found Raftel. WB however hasn't been shown to express the same interest as these two.

Wrong again buddy.

As Inuarashi said, normally people learn of the Poneglyph, the Ancient texts and Raftel on the Island at the end of the Log Pose. Doesn't require being Roger, everyone who gets there can learn of it.

There's a reason even Big Mom knows about it despite the fact she has no one capable of deciphering Poneglyphs for her.

WB not only said he didn't want treasure but also what he wanted. If his crewmates back then hadn't asked him what he wanted to which he responded a family, there'd be room for speculation like becoming pirate king but Oda gave us an answer and the answer given was a family.
Wrong again.

Wanting a family doesn't impede on wanting to conquer the Grand Line, they're 2 non conflicting goals. You're comitting a logical fallacy like you would if you read Big Mom is interested in candy, therefore, she can't want Pirate King too which is inherently and awesomely bad logic.

Shiki approached both Roger and WB to propose partnerships so we know his motives and we also know Roger actually found Raftel. WB however hasn't been shown to express the same interest as these two.
Again, wrong.

Roger hadn't found Raftel when he met Shiki at the battle of Ed, lol.

He only found Raftel 25 years ago, he acquired the Road Poneglyph from Zou 26 years ago to remotely have a chance of getting to Raftel, his battle with Shiki was 27 years ago; you're most definitely wrong here as you've been for the most part of this dialogue.

As I've said before, I'm really curious where you get your facts from, and how you come to your conclusions because they seem all so made up in light of the Manga.

Shiki said Roger had found Ancient Weapons, something even Luffy has found despite not being on Raftel. Hell, Vander Decken even found Poseidon, yet hasn't been to Raftel.

And you know, going to Raftel more or less results in One as Pirate King, yet you're saying Roger was Pirate King 2 years before he was called Pirate King? Lol. A lot of what you've said over the course of this seems rather fallacious or you're just full of unverified assumptions. One should verify their information before stating as facts.

The information on the last island is probably inscribed on poneglyphs seeing as that's the way the ancient civilization passed their knowledge forward and it's basically the language of their society. Whoever reaches the last island would probably need someone who could read poneglyphs to reveal the information.

Big Mom has a road poneglyph and we haven't been given the impression that she doesn't know what's written on it, so we can assume she has someone in her crew who can read it. Since she's been an active pirate since before the Ohara incident, it's possible she recruited one of the scholars who could read poneglyphs.

Whitebeard was asked what he was looking for in being a pirate and his only response was a family and that was later supported years later if he wanted to know where Raftel is and he said he wasn't interested in any of that. If he wasn't asked what he wanted then his motivation is open to discussion but Oda's given us his answer. Big Mom wasn't shy about saying she wants to be pirate king when given the opportunity.

We know Roger found Raftel, so we know that was his motive since you'd need to actively go searching for it. We also know Shiki's motive since he approached two of his biggest rivals on separate occasions in offers to conquer the world. WB however said he didn't want to know where Raftel was and didn't show the same interest as Shiki

Wrong again, it says anyone can go there and learn about it.

Ponegylpgs are in hidden locations, not known Locations. If it were there, the WG would have acquired it and no one would go there and have any clues about it, so again, you're wrong.

Big Mom has a road poneglyph and we haven't been given the impression that she doesn't know what's written on it, so we can assume she has someone in her crew who can read it.
Wrong again, only Pudding has any chance of being able to decipher it which is why Big Mom finds her useful.

She even said she can't decipher it.

Big Mom couldn't have known about Raftel if it required someone to decipher it, so your point is clearly a false point that can be repudiated. Anyone can learn of the information at the end of the Log Pose because it's not in the Ancient Language, but not anyone can read the Poneglyphs because it's in the Ancient Language.

Whitebeard was asked what he was looking for in being a pirate and his only response was a family
Wrong again.

This was just a boyhood dream.

You fail to grasp the context here. They're all there because of wealth, Whitebeard isn't looking for wealth.

Again, one can want a family and still want to be Pirate King, lol.

Shiki approached both Roger and WB to propose partnerships so we know his motives and we also know Roger actually found Raftel.

Lol, a fallacy. Roger hadn't found Raftel when he fought Shiki. He found it after fighting Shiki. What he found before Shiki was an Ancient Weapon, lol.

You haven't said one truthful or 1 factual thing lol.

I can believe the information on the last island is accessible to everyone, which means we don't know Oden's purpose on Roger's and WB's ship seeing that he couldn't do anything Roger wasn't able to as far as we know. Roger wouldn't need Oden to help translate poneglyphs, so his benefit to him is unclear.

Whitebeard dreamt about having a family ever since he was a child and he never stopped dreaming right until he died, asking ace if he was a good dad. Beyond having a family, WB hasn't been shown to want anything else. Big Mom said she wanted to be Pirate king when given the opportunity and Kaidou also has a road poneglyph so we have no doubt. However, both times WB had an opportunity to say he wanted to be pirate king, he didn't which is likely intentional by Oda. Having a family was his only thought when asked and that's how he went on to raise his own crew, calling all its members sons.

Since Roger found Raftel, we know he was actively trying to be pirate king since it's probably not something you can stumble upon. So Roger's motive was clear. Shiki's motive was also clear since he approached Roger at some point to discuss a partnership. All those that wanted to be pirate king, Oda created no doubts while the words that came out of WB's mouth was that he wasn't interested in Raftel.

Actually, we know what Oden's purpose was.

Oden was the one who wrote on the Frybell in Skypiea for Roger. Inuarashi and Nekomamushi stated the went to Skypiea, and being that they were Oden's vassals, it means he went there too.

Whitebeard dreamt about having a family ever since he was a child and he never stopped dreaming
Wrong buddy, wanting a family and wanting to be Pirate King do not conflcit with each other, so you are wrong, lol.

Since Roger found Raftel, we know he was actively trying to be pirate king
Another fallacy.

Roger became Pirate King only after he got to Raftel, please read the Manga properly, lol. You don't know what you're talking about, you're making things up.

Since Oden was on their ship because he apparently only took a liking to the poneglyphs, it means it has nothing to do with the idea that WB was trying to find Raftel.

Whitebeard becoming a pirate to find Raftel can't be speculated since every time his motives were addressed in the manga, becoming pirate king or finding Raftel was not only never suggested but having a family was the only thing we know him to have dreamt.

Roger finding Raftel means that he had the motive to conquer the Grand Line. WB was a simple man with a simple dream to have a family and he died achieving it.

Wrong again.

He was passed on information from his father on how to read and write. It's only natural he had an interest in them before Roger.

Roger finding Raftel means that he had the motive to conquer the Grand Line.
Again, that's a fallacy.

Conquering the Grand Line is how one gets to Raftel and becomes Pirate King, lol.

It's because the Road Poneglyph lead to Raftel they steal it from the other, or try to.

Again, the logic is as awful as saying because Big Mom only expressed interest in Candy never meant she wanted to be Pirate King, lol.

You're in denial of any information that contradicts what you've made up which is odd, lol.

  1. Even the fact Big Mom mentions Whitebeard is proof he once contended for it.
  2. Even the fact Buggy said he's the closest implies he once contended for it.

Even the fact Shiki said Roger was an obstacle to him proves he was. Or do you think Roger was trying to stop Whitebeard from having a family? Lol?

We were told that Oden had an interest in the Poneglyph which led him to follow Roger and WB for a while, meaning it has nothing to do with the idea that WB was trying to find Raftel.

Whitebeard was asked direct questions on two separate occasions both relating to his motive as pirate. The first time he was simply asked what it was he wanted from it. The second time was more specific when Roger asked if he actually wanted to know how to get to Raftel and even then WB showed no interest. Oda however worked in Big Mom's motive to be pirate king when he had the opportunity and in the one chapter we saw Shiki, he was shown to be trying to form partnerships in a goal to conquer the world. WB has not only been shown to express no interest in becoming pirate king but in the two times he could have addressed it, we learnt that he didn't want to know where Raftel was at all.

WB was the closest to being pirate king because he was the strongest and if he wanted to, there would have been nobody to stop him.

Roger and Whitebeard fought for superiority being that they were the strongest. The conversation they had before Roger died would have been during the times they were constantly fighting and it was in that conversation WB said he wasn't interested in Raftel. If Roger never died, it's likely that they would have still continued fighting even though WB wasn't trying to find Raftel.

Nope, wrong. Oden was trapped in Wano, lol.

He couldn't have headed out without the aid of Roger and Whitebeard. Whitebeard wouldn't hvae recruited him if he had no interest in his ability.

Whitebeard was asked direct questions on two separate occasions both relating to his motive as pirate.
Again, your logic here is bad as I said. Can have a family and still want One Piece, lol.

Big Mom wants to create a family too like Whitebeard where all can sit together on a table and eat at eye to eye level, doesn't mean she can't also want One Piece. It's clear your logic isn't functional at any level.

Roger asked if he actually wanted to know how to get to Raftel and even then WB showed no interest.
Only after Roger had achieved what he tried to achieve. He lost interest because he got defeated by his rival.

Oda however worked in Big Mom's motive to be pirate king when he had the opportunity
Nope, it was obvious from day one. I'd already stated she was aiming to be Pirate King long before this revelation.

Roger and Whitebeard fought for superiority being that they were the strongest.
Wrong, they fought because they were contending to be Pirate King. They were obstacles they had to overcome otherwise, they couldn't achieve being Pirate King.

Again, you're in denial as it's stated Roger stopped Whitebeard from becoming Pirate King.

Lol, no.

They never fought after he became king because there was no point. If that weren't the case, they couldn't have sat down together and casually discussed.

If Whitebeard had another dream in addition to wanting a family, we would have seen both. There was room for more than one dream but it was only a dream to have a family we were shown. Also he wasn't looking for a traditional family since he had no love interest as far as we know other than Bakkin who is self proclaimed at the moment.

If Whitebeard wanted to become pirate king, Oda would have used one of the two occasions WB addressed it but instead what Whitebeard said being that he wasn't interested in finding Raftel, contradicts it.

Akainu said Roger stood in the way of WB becoming pirate king while we actually got Whitebeard's own words regarding finding Raftel which was that he didn't want to find it.

Lol, it does.

Oden is required for Whitebeard to have any chance of deciphering Poneglyph.

Lol, Whitebeard never said he wasn't interested in One Piece until Roger got it.

Yes, it's implied with the fact he's affiliated with Oden and the fact he was an Emperor.

Wrong, doesn't contradict it, lol. Like I said, saying he wants a family doesn't mean he can't want One Piece, that's a lie. It's as ridiculous as saying Big Mom wanting candy and Kaido wanting an army means they can't also aim for One Piece.

It's possible that Oden helped WB decipher poneglyphs he might have found, which has nothing to do with the idea that he was looking for Raftel. If Whitebeard didn't have anyone on board who could read poneglyphs, then it's understandable that he'd need a translator. The extent of WB's interest was just finding what was written on the stones.

The only time we've seen Whitebeard address anything related to him finding One Piece was when he said he wasn't interested in finding Raftel at all, so there's nothing suggesting that he stopped because Roger found it first.

Not wanting to find Raftel is contradicting because then it suggests he had no interest in become pirate king.

Again, you have no clue what you're talking about. Interest in the Poneglyph if you're not a scholar is interest in One Piece, lol.

The entire reason people are looking for Poneglyphs is to get to Raftel, thus the reason Big Mom mentions Raftel.

The only time we've seen Whitebeard address anything related to him finding One Piece was when he said he wasn't interested in finding Raftel at all,
After Roger had found it, lol.

You're ignorant about the fact he went to Wano, recruited Oden, was said to have been stopped by Roger in attempt to be King and BIg Mom even said she needed to defeat him to become Pirate King.

Read the manga buddy.

Whitebeard might have very well wanted Oden to decipher poneglyphs for him but that's the extent of his interest. He gave his opinion about actually finding Raftel and that was he didn't want to. If he read what was written in the poneglyphs, as far as we know, that was the end of it.

Whitebeard didn't say he stopped being interested in finding Raftel after Roger found it otherwise I'd have expected him to mention it to Roger when he asked. He simply said he wasn't interested in it.

As far as we know, Oden being on their ship had nothing to do with finding Raftel. Roger also had Oden on his ship even though he could decipher poneglyphs himself.

Whitebeard's own words and not the words of BM or Akainu was that he wasn't interested in Raftel.

Wrong again. He was in a country locked from the outside world. He couldn't do it on his own.

You think Oden could have just waltzed into Big Mom's territory and acquired a Poneglypg? Let's be serious here.

Oden had an interest with Poneglyphs, thus the reason he journeyed with both Roger and Whitebeard.

Whitebeard might have very well wanted Oden to decipher poneglyphs for him but that's the extent of his interest.
That Island at the end of the Log Pose indicates Poneglyphs are needed to head to Raftel. If he had interest in Poeglyphs, then he had interest in One Piece.

Whitebeard's own words and not the words of BM or Akainu was that he wasn't interested in Raftel.
Lol, another logical fallacy.

Just because something doesn't come from the mouth of a character doesn't make it any less true. Everything we've heard about Roger has come from the mouth of others, so this is weak response.

Whitebeard did things consistent with wanting to be Pirate King up until Roger became King. Your argument is he was just a Pirate for the sake of it, created a territory for the sake of it, was fighting the strongest Pirates left right and centre for the sake of it, your argument is absurd and really poorly developed. Your argument is just denial, not piecing together of evidence.

That Island at the end of the Log Pose indicates Poneglyphs are needed to head to Raftel. If he had interest in Poeglyphs, then he had interest in One Piece.

Nope, I said Roger could decipher poneglyphs on his own and wasn't referring to Oden but nice strawman.

The poneglyphs hold more information than just directions to Raftel and we don't know the poneglyphs Whitebeard had since only 9 of them are supposed to have the information necessary to reach Raftel. W

If Whitebeard himself said he wasn't interested in finding Raftel then what BM or Akainu say to contradict it holds little weight. Again there'd be more room for speculation if Whitebeard hadn't said it himself but it's an open an shut case since those were his exact words.

I feel I have to correct this post just in case other members might think this is right. Don't want them to be misled.

Nope, wrong. Oden was trapped in Wano, lol.

He couldn't have headed out without the aid of Roger and Whitebeard. Whitebeard wouldn't hvae recruited him if he had no interest in his ability.

Again, your logic here is bad as I said. Can have a family and still want One Piece, lol.
Oooor, Whitebeard and Oden became friends, Oden wanted to join Whitebeard, and Whitebeard was okay with it... because family.

That is true, but it is false in Whitebeard's case because he never mentioned wanting to go after One Piece or becoming pirate king. I don't know which fan fiction you read, but in the real story, this is not true. You've yet to show us Whitebeard himself saying it.

Big Mom wants to create a family too like Whitebeard where all can sit together on a table and eat at eye to eye level, doesn't mean she can't also want One Piece. It's clear your logic isn't functional at any level.
She also said she wanted to become Pirate King. Whitebeard has never implied that. If you're going to attack someone else's logic, make sure you actually use logic yourself or can back up what you say. So far, you failed in doing both.

Wrong, they fought because they were contending to be Pirate King. They were obstacles they had to overcome otherwise, they couldn't achieve being Pirate King.

Again, you're in denial as it's stated Roger stopped Whitebeard from becoming Pirate King.
Assumption. You can't back it up. Mihawk and Shanks fought each other with swords as well, does that mean they saw each other as rivals in their path to becoming pirate king? They could have been friendly rivals trying to have fun, like Whitebeard apparently did with Shanks.
It's not stated anywhere. A character statement is not a fact, it's an opinion and a point of view. Akainu not only gets Roger's name wrong (it's Gol D. not Gold) but he was provoking Ace into attacking, if not to stop running away. Was Akainu friends with Whitebeard or Roger that he knew Whitebeard wanted to become pirate king but was stopped by Roger?

Jeez, your double standards and hypocrisy are on another level.

All there is are contradictions in his argument. It's kinda obvious to me his whole thing is to have the last word but to talk in lengths and contradictions just so people think you're right is kinda embarrassing to me, but I'm off work this week so I'm gonna indulge in some pointless wasting of time too.

He still recruited and both were interested. Likely so was Whitebeard, lol.

Well, Sherlock approves of stating the obvious.

And only 4 are needed to head to Raftel. Road Poneglyphs.

We don't know if he had any, you're assuming.

If Whitebeard himself said he wasn't interested in finding Raftel then what BM or Akainu say to contradict it holds little weight. Again there'd be more room for speculation if Whitebeard hadn't said it himself but it's an open an shut case since those were his exact words.
Wrong again.

Kaido never said he was interested in being Pirate King, and neither did Big Mom for a time, but it's obvious and implied the Yonko are in it for the Poneglyphs.

Kaido tried to extrapolte the information for Raftel by interrogating Oden because he knows the secret. Kaido is literally saying if he can't get to Wano or acquire all Road Poneglyphs, he'll just get it from someone who has been there. It's implied, reading between the lines as it were.

And it doesn't contradict it, that's a fallacy, lol. Wanting a family doesn't impede on wanting to become Pirate King.

All there is are contradictions in his argument.
Lol, what contradictions?

The wanting of candy stops one from becoming Pirate King, good joke mate.
