I don’t think Elizabeth and Diane are stronger than Mael without sunshine. One arrow salvation and Diane is toast, and Elizabeth can’t take down Mael
Honestly I don't think King is stronger than Zeldris. How does the former stop the Nebula?

Lets be honest to ourselves now. I, like many, love Escanor. But Nakaba pulled a huge one from his ass to get Escanor back on top. Considering Escanors quotes about him being the mightiest and pinnacle of all races, he realized it would be embarrassing for Escanor to be surpasssed by Ban, King, Merlin, Elizabeth, Base Mel. Hence his power up with no reasonable explanation so far.
At least it seems like we will be getting an answer soon. Bedsides someone else was likely helping Escanor (the voiceds in 327).
Oh sure, I most definitely agree with what you said. I have had many posts against Meliodas and many here would confirm I’m as anti-Mel as it gets. I’ve questioned all the power ups. It’s just that Escanors power ass pull is the latest one to come thru, and it sucks because he’s my favorite sin, but gotta keep it

Yep, makes no sense. Nakaba hasn’t even bothered to try and explain it as of yet. Maybe the gaiden will explain the sudden increase in power, but I wouldn’t get your hopes.
We will have to agree to disagree then. What I meant was up until overcoming Ominous Nebula, Escanor talked and showed he was the strongest and mightiest of all. He mocked the other sins strength, like Ban. But after defeating Zeldris, we saw many other characters surpassed him based on his recorded strength. So, with Escanor pleading to use the grace again, wouldn’t it look weird that his prideful version joins the battle and is weaker than every character except Diane and Gowther, and is not really needed. Hence the unexplained power boost.
Nakaba may have had plans for power ups, but unlike the Estarossa/Mael reveal, how he executed all of them were awful. It's like when he gets to a certain point, he goes oh shit!! This character has to be much stronger to make an impact at this point of the story. Ban vs DK mel, King vs 4C Mael, Base Mel vs Initial DK Zel.All I say is that there has always been the plan for a series of power ups in Nakaba's mind, and Merlin and Escanor are gonna be the last sins to receive one. It's not that Nakaba didn't have any plans for them, but suddenly understood they are getting weak. He had always the plan to focus on each sin, show us their past, and then make them stronger. Now is Escanor's turn. And Merlin's will come next.
But it's only natural for us to have our different opinions about Nakaba's plans. I enjoyed this talk. Thanks
