Re: the WoW thread

I'm a veteran at this game, but i quit in May from last year. It was taking alot of my time, its fucking addicting. I was planning to come back this year but i havent make a final desition yet.

I still have my 70 Human Warrior Commander (yeah, those where the time of the greatest pvp but reaching Grand Marshall was fucking hard:darn). Then i quit the alliance to join the Horde with my 70 Blood Elf Mage(with tier6).

:XD I remember when i use to say that. An easy way to quit (base on my exp) its to play just 3 to 4 days a week, then 2 to 3, then dont play in a whole week (put your time in some other things) and then you'll start to feel deatach from it:p.

Oohh.. and if your gf starts kicking your seat and nagging while your playing:darn, dont get mad at her that helps too.:XD

Re: the WoW thread

LOL, yah the game is very addicting, but it is made to be that way! Though I'll say it is about as addicting to me as was my old habits of haunting forums and being on IM all the time. Now I'm just playing a game while I chat with people! Best of both worlds I guess, unless you can't put it down long enough be part of the "real world".

I got my Druid to 77 last night, so now I'm able to use my flight form up in the new Northrend area which will make lvling the rest of the way to 80 SO much easier.

Good luck on trying to quit Paperboy :P

I actually cut down from 5 days a week to 2, then to 0 since I had tons of RL stuff getting backed up by raiding! Haha! I've also got 0 top-up left, so It'll help me from getting back in! :tem

@Kisit- Getting your flight form early is good, it also allows you to reach nodes, herbs, and deposits easily! Thanks! :tem

/revive thread

Not that I play any more, but I used to be the Mage-CL for an old raiding guild. During vanilla / tbc. Long night calculating and theorycrafting... Still have contact with the guild and they're lol'ing through everything as they've always done and is trying to make me play wow again...

Idk really... Is Ulduar any good? I'm considering starting again like in aug/sept....

Re: the WoW thread

The classes are out of whack now bro, they're seriously broken. Character choice no longer matters since the new skills and talents make everyone the same, the only difference now are the animations.

For instance, back in classic you needed 5 warrior tanks just for Patchwerk, nowadays you can make a rag-tag group of 10 or 25, and you can clear Naxx... It's that bad... The teamwork and strategy needed to clear Naxx/BWL in classic or BT/MH in BC has been reduced to basic maneuvers. Oh and threat is a thing of the past... Healers don't spec for redued threat anymore since tanks are really OP now...

To be honest, I've been craving some WoW time myself... It's just that my GPA dropped down 1.5pts when I started playing again early this year. :scry Check out wowhead if you want an update. FYI Warlocks are now the "QQ", not sure what the OP is atm...Pallies I guess, Since "Improved Concentration Aura" now makes them immune to ANY interrupt effects while conc aura is on.

Couldn't help it, here are the latest patchnotes:http://www.wowhead.com/?patchnotes=3.1.2

Oh...my...god...

Ruined my view of the game completely... I guess it's back to raiding Molten Core on WC III. There you need teamplay (like sh*t) !

Thanks for the info / link. You saved me a lot of time / money

Re: the WoW thread

Haha, no worries... The crappy changes contribute to why I quit as well... Hunters and Mages can top DPS just by spamming Volley and Arcane Explosion respectively to top the DPS charts...

Re: the WoW thread

Oh that sucks, I remember when we (mages) had to like theorycraft for shit and then swap gear / gems all the time just to get the perfect combo with your talent tree...

Re: the WoW thread

I had to constantly theorycraft to keep top DPS against BM hunters and Arcane/Fire mages. I used to play as a Fire-Destro (DS/SnF) warlock, more traditional players at the time looked down on fire-destro since the standard build was for SB spammage (as opposed to the Immolate, Incinerate, Incinerate, Incinerate rotation), but it proved to do better DPS in my guild since we had more fire mages than spriests or other locks in our lineup (we had another DS/SnF warlock doing SB spammage for our spriest and aff lock)... God I miss WoW... :scry

I don't miss being raped by Rogues though...

Re: the WoW thread

Classic didn't have as complex calculations or fights as BC... I need my maths, hahaha.

Re: the WoW thread

MMORPG = Massively multiplayer online role-playing game
It means you have a character, you level him up and you give him new skills, talents, professions etc. It means that you are that character throughout your time online with him/her.
Wikipedia Link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massively_multiplayer_online_role-playing_game

The first version is "World of Warcraft" the 2nd one is "The Burning Crusade" and the 3rd one is "Wrath of the Lich King"

If you haven't played before I recommend Rogue for you to start play with. They are easy handleable in the beginning. After around 20levels when you've got a feeling of the game you can change to whatever you want too, but Rogue is the easiest in the beginning.

Re: the WoW thread

@Raptor- Blai is right. But I find that Hunters and Warlocks are the easiest to start off with. Having a pet deal damage along side you cuts down a TON of down time (time you spend eating, drinking, or patching up with bandages). Hunters, with the Beast Mastery tree can gain access to tons of skills to empower their pets, and allow them to attack two or more targets at once while leveling. Warlocks gain virtually no downtime while leveling as Affliction. The idea is that you DoT (Damage over Time spells) up multiple mobs (monsters) while running around, using Life Tap and Drain Health when necessary. Then again, the other classes do have ways to cut down their down time.

Rogues: Sneaky as hell, capable of killing things quickly while dodging most of the attacks.
Shamans: The Enhancement tree offers a lot of great self regeneration talents for both health and mana. They're also capable of dishing out massive amounts of burst damage, and have supportive totems to aid them.
Mages: Things die before they get close to you, and even if they do, you can just blink away from them.
Paladins: Much like a Shaman. The main difference is that you've got an option to level as Protection, where in you basically round up mobs and leave him to attack stuff; tough as nails.
Warriors: You get quite a bit of downtime as a Warrior, but it's pretty fun to one shot things while dual wielding 2h weapons.
Priests: The Shadow tree plays like a mix between an Affliction Warlock and a Mage. Minimal down time, really nice sustained damage, crappy threat management.
Druids: Jack of all trades. Pretty tough to level as a beginner though.

Death Knights: You can only access a DK once you've got at least one other toon @ LV50. Uh... You basically just roll your face on your keyboard to win... It's the current easy mode class.
