I dont know about that. Luffy's gear 4 will tank Zoro's attack anyday. I will even argue that Jinbei's attacks are way stronger than Zoro's at this point of time.
G4(Boundman) tanking Zoro's attack..I don't disagree. However we have to be more specific. Zoro's 1080 Pound, Haki techniques (Only seen 2) Oni Giri vs pica & Billion World..
G4 is not tanking Billion World & a Haki Oni Giri im is sure to cut/harm BoundMan...Cracker did cut Boundman.

Jimbei doesn't have the feats to say he does more Damage than Zoro. His Fishman Karate is fierce due to the shockwave of water & his secret Vagabond drill was dope...bothing he ever did compares to 1080 Pound or Billion World Slash

I don't think Jinbie is at that level. Zoro for the most part 1 hit k.o his opponents no matter how powerful they are. That's what I'm saying even Whitebeard can get hurt when caught off guard.
Jimbei is at that level. His damage output is different.

I hate when the thread turns into a pissing contest. Seriously guys. @nik87 Zoro does not 1 Hit K.o all his opponents, nor did he Kaku.

I just had a very long discussion with a group of my friends about Zoro's "Black Blade" development.

Shusui is a Black blade (Cue the "No shit, sherlock!!!!") And it is EARNED by rigerous, extreme battle prowess thought the course of a swordsman's battles. (Now how to obtain a black black is still to be 100% confirmed but this is about what we know so far)

These blades are a much higher quality than none black blades and that IS a certainty.

Now, Zoro (while skilled) did nothing to earn such a weapon outside of earning "Sword God" Ryuma's respect.

Following that train of thought, Zoro's acquisition of that weapon is damn near equivalent than Nami getting her Climatact upgraded or Sanji using a Raid Suit. While it didnt give Zoro his skills, it did boost them!

The arguement would of course be " No, Zoro's skill is his alone" and that is true, but he didnt EARN Shusui like say Mihawk.

Stemming from this, I dont think Zoro is going to require Shunsui. I think he is going to acquire the cursed blade Luffy was using and both cursed blades he is going to somehow make them black blades in the future.

I think Shusui stays on Wano.
That would be interesting as a development. Personally i want the swordsmaker who gave Luffy the cursed blade to make Zoro a personal named sword, that would be much cooler than just finding another one. But I like your idea of him deciding to use his own "black" swords that he made that way.

Go back and re-read. Only one hit injured Kaku, the one which took him out. 😏
i'm done. honestly, i can't do this stupidity with you.

My comment was totally off topic to the current "One Slash Zoro" arguement lol my bad. I didnt both to read the mood of the room before posting that.

I am not in agreement that Zoro has 1 shot ALL his opponents, and that is purely by the definition of a 1 shot.

I'm surprised no one brought up Luffy vs Bellamy. That was a TRUE 1 Shot.

Zoro vs Monet could have been a Zoro 1 shot, but Zoro wasnt very serious right out of the gate.

Zoro v Mr 1? Zoro vs Kaku? Not 1 shots.

I mean, Zoro is cool and badass enough... No need for unnecessary hype

The definition of one-shot is beating an opponent in one hit. Zoro usually was unable to do that, whether by choice (against Monet) or incapable of doing so (against Mr. 1 or Kaku), even if he won with just one attack. A perfect example of this is what Luffy did to Bellamy when he actually fought back after Bellamy stole the diamond-head's gold. Took him one attempt to bring down Bellamy. I can't remember when Zoro did that, other than the pacifista, though, but we know he could have done that to Monet and would have likely done that if Monet didn't go batshit crazy.
That's why I was precise and said one slice instead one swing/attack. One slice which Zoro lands on their bodies is all it takes to take his opponents out and it has been the same with all of his opponents(not counting slicing Hatchan's fingers since he was obviously mocking him there).
@XXGenesis gonna tag you here as well since you obviously misunderstood it too.
@thedude You too. 😏 You may not believe it and call it stupidity but Kaku was damaged by just one attack, the one which took him out.

It was Moe-kun who said that Zoro one shotted Kamazou... If that was one shot then what I am saying is one shot too (one slice 😏 ).

See what you are saying.

1 slice, not 1 hit

Still inaccurate to a degree, but it makes more sense than saying Zoro 1 shot his opponents

Technically, three slices as he uses three swords. :kappa:

Well yeah but also depends on which opponent, some fell to 1 sword, some to 2 swords and some to 3 or Kaku to 9 swords. 😎

As dumb as this argument even is, 416-417 chapters. Zoro hits Kaku multiple times. Kaku's nose and body tank it. So you are so wrong it's just sad. Obviously Zoro vs Mr 1 Zoro slashed him many times before finally beating him as well.

Some posters just cannot be taken seriously.

Not sure if I understand the "one shot" thing. In many battles, it took a lot of effort for Zoro to defeat his opponents. He ended most of them with a finishing move... but isn't like that for all characters? Luffy defeated Rob Lucci with a Jet Gatling, for example.

Jimbei doesn't have the feats to say he does more Damage than Zoro. His Fishman Karate is fierce due to the shockwave of water & his secret Vagabond drill was dope...bothing he ever did compares to 1080 Pound or Billion World Slash

Big Mom won in the end, but I think it's safe to say Jinbe could block an attack from Zoro based on this?

Who Jimbei?
I don't get how you make those comparisons. IMO Doffy = / < Jimbei...
Cracker above the both of them.

The thing is. You are incorrect. Mr.1 took more than 1 attack. So did Kaku, he was injured by Zoro's panther attack...

Everybody gets that Zoro puts his opponents down with 1 technique mostly, he doesn't get to cut his opponents up.

Your doing what Moe, does/did in Sanji thread. by defending the statement so strongly and then referring to other characters shortcomings to hype Zoro. Don't be like that, it throws the whole thread off to a pissing contest. Of who can nitpick at each other points to find fallacy or bias..

Overall point, you are incorrect about 1hit. The statement was jokingly funny at first though.

Nice scan. WcI arc feats are annoying if they aren't Luffy's. My point is that, BM was pretty deep into her hunger pange that Jimbei a few panels or pages after that block, knocked BM off the Thousand Sunny. BM also did not use haki to clash with Jimbei, just her brute strength.

So honestly idk how that same block would do against Billion World...

Not really. Luffy hit Lucci tons of times but couldn't put him down. As pointed out, Luffy's "rematch" against Bellamy on Jaya is what a one-shot is supposed to look like. One hit to take 'em down. Zoro was unable to do that to Kaku and countless of others.

I was specific, one slice is what it takes for Zoro to take his opponents out. You cant call it slice if opponent wasnt sliced up. As dumb as it sounds to you I know what I am saying. Your problem if you cant keep up. How many attacks sliced kaku, mr1, ryuma, pica, ohm, hatchan, cabaji? Getting attacked and tanking the hit without injury isnt being sliced up.
The thing is. You are incorrect. Mr.1 took more than 1 attack. So did Kaku, he was injured by Zoro's panther attack..
You are correct about Kaku, two attacks sliced him. Panter, as you pointed out, managed to slice him. Its pointed out by Zoro that he read his movements and almost completely dodged it, thus only a shallow wound. Other than panter and kyutoryu, no attacks managed to cut Kaku.
All Zoro needs is one well landed slice and opponents are defeated, it has always been like that. It's incredible how much people are surprised about this fact.

It kind of makes Zoro boring now that you put it that way.

He didnt have much character development to begin outside of his Kuina back story. The only thing he had going for him was his battle prowess... Now reading back on fights, they were actually pretty boring fights.

Mr. 1 was cool because he learned to cut steel, but Luffy had already been shown to break steel before that so it wasnt that shocking and against Kaku showed us Demon Zoro, but besides that?

Damn I never really noticed it

Zoro is like the Escanor(SDS) of One Piece: Huge fanbase, easily trashes opponents(great at first, less so as the manga moves on) and lacks character development

Zoro prominent fights..
Mr.1- Tank'd everything extreme low damage; Until Shishi son
Kaku- Dodged, Blocked, Negated; Took 3 attacks total.
Pica- Went down in 2. 1080 Pound & 3sword style..

I don't see anyone disagreeing that Zoro's attacks are potent. He's a swordsman, so his attacks can drop many with a direct hit..

You keep responding in defense of your incorrectness so now your either trolling, fanboying or reluctant to face the fact, you are incorrect. Your better than this @nik87. We understand what your trying to say, your dragging it tho

Zoro's opponents dont take much damage until he uses a finishing move. It's not even a high point of discussion. Besides it would be weird to see a opponent suffer multiple stabs or deep cuts & keep fighting back, this isn't bleach now. Mortal injures aren't stretched that far in OP...

Exactly.
Oda tries to compensate it by putting Zoro on the receiving end when it comes to damage. He is the one who takes injuries and is being pushed back or his attacks dont work. The focus is on his struggle until that one attack which ends it all. He needs character development but I dont think his fights will change much. They simply cant since such damage isnt bearable by anyone, at least so far. The best scenario would be if Zoro encounters a swordsman as good as he is, both offensively and defensively and the damage they take gets reduced to bearable damage after blocked and parried attacks, something like Kaku's Rankyaku bounced off the ceiling...

Mr1 didnt take any damage whatsoever. Single slice took him out.
Kaku- Dodged, Blocked, Negated; Took 3 attacks total.
Kaku was scratched by Panther, as you pointed out.
He took damage from being sent flying into rubble from 2 Gorillas attack I think, was bleeding from his mouth but wasnt sliced at all even tho he took the attack with his nose.
Kyutoryu took him out, no significant damage previously, including panter and 2 gorillas.
Pica- Went down in 2. 1080 Pound & 3sword style..
Pica went down from 1 attack. What he took in his stone form is irrelevant.

I am not trolling, it really takes just one clean slice for Zoro to deal with any opponent he had so far.
I am perfectly aware that his fights arent just one slice, there is lots of clashing and power struggle, otherwise, his fights would last a single panel only.

Oh no, Zoro s character development is not that horrible. His character is stoic or a muscle head , top fighter of the group. He's no Usopp, Nami, or Chopper.

But let's be real, he's #1 Crew mate to the OK, the Strongest Swordsman. He loves booze, getting stronger, has honor as a person and swordsman. Notable character developments are his aid and assist of Luffy's adventure/task while becoming the best swordsman in the World. He was vital in the fight against Oars, Saved Luffy from Kuma almost sacrificing his life. Shouted at Luffy to get serious within the New World.

He doesn't have a ton, but there is development there. Zoro Is the brute stoic archetype with other attributes, he's simple and it's not boring to my standards.

You keep hammering in the same points thats not moving any conversation on the thread..its not trolling its juss w/e. think about what im trying to get across herr.

Pica was hurt & bleeding by the 1080 Pound Cannon, Zoro cut the stone where Pica was controlling it from. He appearer later with a slash mark..He later finished him off.

I would like to highlight Zoro's low CoO feats. During his Pica fight, Zoro gave up on growing/focusing his CoO to help him win. Instead he utilized his DF weakness of separting the stone he was connected to cornering him down to his fingers.

Sanji was able to locate Kimemo body inside dark waters using CoO, & other good feats showing goods usage.

Zoro's usage is too passive.
