Psyren

I've translated a handful of the newbie titles in jump the past couple of years, and out of them all, I think Psyren's the best.

Without ruining the story, this is one of the best sci-fi mangas because it dares to be different. It develops a good number of protagonists all at the same time, gives you a taste of paranormal action, and serves it with a side of unpredictability. The comic has been so unpredictable it's hard to put it down--I keep thinking I know what will happen and it keeps proving me wrong. I also like how this comic's main action premise--telekinetic powers--allows for "smart" battles, requiring more planning than brute force. Honestly the art is nothing to write home about, but it isn't bad. This may be presumptuous of me to say, but if Psyren does get canceled, I think jump will have lost the title with the most potential in the past 5 years.

It's awesome, really... Completely unpredictable, you never know what may happen... For example, at first you don't really know what's going on, and suddenly the main character (Ageha) appears on another world... And when you start to think the manga is about that world and the game taking place in it, in chapter 7 the truth starts to be revealed, and you get a shock because you didn't expect it at all... But however, all the pieces fit. Everything makes sense, but you just don't know what's gonna happen... Well, I can't find more words to describe it without spoiling the story xD Permalink " "

Love this manga. After watching stagnant shonen crap for what seems years, this is a amazing work. Too bad its not super popular yet. Give reading this manga a try is all i can say, Naruto/Bleach will most likely be in the same arc when your finished with this manga so no rush at all Permalink " "
