I changed the thread title. Anyway, Ron Artest has signed for the LA Lakers. Trevor Ariza is off to houston if I am right. Any opinions about this deal? Sheed to the Boston Celtics. Any opinions on these trades?

Lakers ain't winning nothing this year, as long as the C's stay healthy.

It would be nice to see Dwight Howard winning the MVP.

I thirded. Lakers let Ariza go but they signed a better player, ron artest, imo...

I think the lakers will be again the team to be defeated

In 1 day the new NBA season is going to start. It seems players may not party on the bench when a teammate scores

but the LA lakers found their answer

Indeed Lakers deserved it, wining 4-3. Watched Game 7 and was nervous. See I am a Lakers fan as always. The final minutes were intense.

Let's revive this thread. Who do you think is going to be NBA's newest MVP? It's a multiple choice since it can be that more players deserve it in your opinion.

I am guessing Derrick Rose but I hope it'll be Kobe Bryant of course

I have my money on Chris Paul. He's done a phenomenal season (if you count his little come-back scoring 33pts (season high) after the collision in like what? early March?) and is probably the most important player for New Orleans. I mean, if New Orleans makes it to the play-offs, he'll prolly be one of the players that carries that team through the 1st and 2nd round (don't know if they'll go any further).

But, if they get eliminated early, then his shots at getting the MVP award will most likely be null since it'll go to a valuable player who carries his team through the semis or something.

Anyway, Chris Paul, wooh waah! o/

Well a lot of player in this list are very good players but when it is about NBA and MVP then you have to be realistic.

Derrick Rose is playing a very good season and he's young. I think he'll get since he is the best player of the bulls who are doing good. BUT the black mamba is in the mood recently, it might be a closer than some people believe it will

If I am not wrong, Kobe is at currently number 6 or 7 Points Per Game. The top three are LeBron, Kevin, and Dwayne.

Still, there's an award for the most scoring player. MVP is no just for scoring.
