Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

considering beelzebub's chapter im not all that shocked about its low ranking but im sure once the training arc is done it will go up.....at least i hope. hunter x hunter hitting rock bottom is really depressing which is sad even though series that return on hiatus take time to gain their fans back. yay for medaka box in the top five again :D.

Well HxH is never actually ranked so it;s no big deal. Plus it still sells more than enough for JUMP not to care where it places.

Interesting ToC this week. Feel a little bad for Beelzebub, but the amount of training arcs is getting to be a bit ridiculous, as though the author is trying to drag out the series. Of course Medaka Box being in the top 5 makes this an excellent week. Can;t wait for the anime adaption.

The ranked Bakuman chapter is 147. That chap. had Cover and Lead CP and was very interesting, so I'm very glad that it's on 1st place :)
But it's suprising that One Piece and Naruto will be absent at once. o_O_o

wow what a strange top 5, bakuman beating both naruto and one piece and sket dance out of the top 5!! and both Naruto and One Piece will be absent next week ? that will be a much more strange toc than this one

Did Bakuman deserve first place? I didn't expect it to get 1st in Nanamine II arc. -o-

I'm glad that St&RS, Mirror World and Kurogane are not on the tail, I'd like to see more of them even if some of them may be cancelled. I for myself would let Mirror go, but it still does better than ST&RS right now. I wonder if Kurogane can mantain its position, I'm enjoying it as well.

Bleach's doing good, I think it's the place it deserves.

I don't include HxH cuz it still won't go anywhere (+ I don't believe it's ranking that low for real, isn't it THAT popular?).

Kurogane might be ending soon. It really is not a series that can be a hit or that can last long in JUMP. I just don't feel the "excitement" of looking forward to the next chapter. And speaking of which, the recent chapter reminded me of how Light Wing ended.

Despise the fact that Kurogane had a lot better positions than Light Wing.
Well, it's not about how YOU feel when you read the serie; it's about how the Japaneses feel. And so far, the Japaneses had show they liked it.
Of course, the series can drop in a near future, but we got no clue of that so far

There will be NAruto on next week. Benelori corrected the translation and so did TakL @ NF

But there should be a break in a few weeks, according to people with better memory than me :P

Glad to see Medaka in 4th
Kurogane may drop next week, but he will not be canceled, I think...

But, Beelzebub in last?? What? (HxH probably doesn't count in the ToC like Kochikame, right?)

WSJ questionnaires have them.
Their ranks go up and down. Nonranked stuff ain't THAT jumpy.

So yes, they are ranked. They will not be canceled but it is not like their rank doesn't matter: they still can serve as cusshions that make those above them look better and thus a little bit safer.

I wonder why the ToC has released earlier than usual.

If that is just based on your own opinion, then it is not good. You have to make judgment based on its ranking, and that judgment is just based on whether you like or not.

HxH isn't really ranked, look at the past weeks ranks, so there's nothing to discuss about it being popular or not.

Why would you like to let Kagami go... the only rom-com in WSJ surrounded by a dozen gag and action shounen. döh

I think people are saying this because another rom-com is coming and Jump doesn't need two rom-coms.

Interesting TOC. Yay for Bakuman roaring up to take the top spot, didn't see that coming. Naruto and Bleach have solid positions. Seriously though what is up with Beel's ranking lately? I see they have Toriko absent but so is Engima.

8D Medaka in 4th?! Well I'm a happy camper~ ♫
Awesomely weird to see Bakuman in first!
I like this table of contents, the only thing that would make it better were if Enigma still there~ *cries in a corner*

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

Jump already has 2+ rom-coms with Love-Ru Darkness. :p Than I will just say that WSJ needs more than one, if they are good enough, any genre could deserve more room in the magazine. Ecchi/Romance are aimed at boys just as the rest.

It's only my opinion and well, because I'm a girl and I'm not into ecchi? :XD But I think it fits into the mag (as it's shonen and didn't have any rom-com), but for myself if I should choose I'd rather let stay those that I read over those I don't (ecchi just isn't my cup of tea XD).

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

To Love-Ru Darkness is not serializing in Shonen Jump; it is serializing in Jump SQ.
I think they were just saying that Jump, not wsj, in general has that many rom-coms so Weekly Jump should be able to have more than one rom-com
