Fairy Tail chapter 24 Discussion thread

Well I know this thread title says up to chapter 19 but there isn't much discussion really so I thought I would just discuss the current chapter 24 here too.

Fairy Tail up till now have been awesome!! The story is progressing and we now have an inkling of a real villain. New characters are being introduced, Luxus, Mist Gun and that geezer sounds interesting. Can't wait to see the other 2 'strongest' member of Fairy Tail. And it looks like Natsu is off to another mischievious adventure~ He really reminds me of Luffy when he barged into the court and dresses up like Erza.

I think Fairy Tail is a rip-off of Rave Master.
My reasons:
1.) The artwork
2.) The characters- Natsu (like Haru, but more hot-headed; Natsu's girl companion (Like Elie, but more knowledgable about magic); Gray (looks like freakin' Musica, and his handle on his magic reminds me of how Music handled his Silver Claim); Sieglin (my god, his name sounds like Sieghart, and he looks just like Sieghart-no originality there.)

Ergo, Fairy Tail sucks

I dun think it's a rip off. I don't like Rave but I love Fairy Tail!! If he wants to improve his previous ideas, why not.. Maybe he's dissatisfied with how Rave turn out and wanted to see if he can used his ideas in a better way. Well, you never know.

XDDDD The first time I glanced at the colored illustration, I thought that it had some relation to One Piece or Eiichiro Oda. There seemed to be a close similarity between the style...
But seeing that it's from the same mangaka as RAVE I can finally see the similarity between its styles...
Need to go read now...

that is true most mangaka use ideas from their previous series, so i'm sure their would be similarities

RAVE is better than Fairy Tail. End of.
You have to give RAVE a chance, read up to about volume 9 (the first saga) and then say whether Fairy Tail is better than RAVE.

I never read Rave so i cant really comment, but usually manga authors get better so surely fairy tail must be better than Rave, and anyway i heard it was extremely rubbish, but hey thats what i heard

Rave really is rubbish at the start; it sloooooowly gets better near the end. But Fairy Tail is just miles and leagues better (BIG duh).

I agree: fairy tail was really good from the start - I read it with fun. While Rave was so boring I stopped reading it. Maybe I should continue it, since you say it's getting better or isn't it my time worth?

Okay ever got logics? Read up to about volume 9 of RAVE. Okay. But how can you compare the manga (Rave volume 9 and +) while Fairy is only 5 volumes far

Since there's still a lot of scanlated volumes missing; especially the ones were it started to get better. I wouldn't really recommend it; but why not.

Great to see FT getting more attention.
Only read upto c38, since the raws kind of stopped getting uploaded.

Rave wasn't exactly rubbish, but to me it wasn't a top-class series. Personally enjoying FT alot more.

Rave Master kicked ass, end of story. I'm not sure if it beats Fairy Tail or vise-versa, but they are both respectable mangas.

And since this is an FT thread, any other Loki fans out there?

loki is great but i don't think he is as strong as natsu or gray...
I appreciate the fact that there are a lot of mysterys and unknown characters in this manga... like in OP^^
but we are just at chapter 54... that's great

by the way- we defenitely need a Fairy Tail icon for these Fairy Tail Threads and translation and Edited Mangas!!!

Yeah, probably. How about just the Fairy Tail Guild symbol in a red box?

And I think Loki is pretty strong, although obviously not as much as Grey or Natsu.

I'm just finding out that Kefi has dropped Fairy Tail. All is lost. Before I start going completely mental in frustration, screaming "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" at the top of my lungs, where can I get the weekly scans from other groups? There ARE other groups that have a site and stuff, right?

Maybe not as a good as KEFI, their site is awesome ;-;, but something close?
