Personally, I find it stupid. What is the point of Popularity Polls when Japanese Magazines accept multiple votes from the same people? Even if we look at one's devoutness as a fan, I don't find anything respectable because this kind of practice kills the whole excitement for many other fans (and it is not about an individual: seems that it has become a tradition to send as many postcards as you can afford).

I'm pretty sure he isn't the only one to have voted multiple times. And besides, even as popular as Nisekoi is, the voting pool is still going to be limited. Jump's current circulation is 2.6 million but for the popularity poll they got 24,020 votes. The discrepancy in people reading Jump vs people who care to submit stuff is probably why they allow multiple votes to begin with.

Considering Nisekoi is a harem, I can understand why its frustrating. The plus side is that it probably has very little bearing on the actual plot, so you can take solace in that. (Chitoge being 3rd reminds me of the last Bleach poll that happened -- Ichigo got 3rd place but the manga has evolved to be more about him than ever)

I agree with you. 24,020 votes is small even if you compare with Nisekoi sales. Popularity poll is to make a interaction with the fans and advertise the series, it is more for fun than to now with strict accuracy who is more popular.
The plot change because of this I think neither the author, nor the readers think about it.

lol, I'm not really a fan of Nisekoi, but that character poll was simply awesome. I loved the way how Naoshi did it. seeing Chitoge being scared by Marika's 2nd place is just.. so fun. I only see the anime and at the first chapter I already hated Chitoge, but I hope her personality goes changing as the story progress -Onoderaaaaa-. The CP are really clean and pleasant, nice!

Please don't spam the thread with "when will the TOC be out?" The ToC, at its latest, will come out with the scans a couple of days from now. We're very privileged to have people posting spoilers and the ToC from 2ch, but ultimately its dependent on a week-to-week basis. Someone decided to post the bottom 5 on Tuesdays, and now they don't anymore. Its subject to change all the time.
