Edit: I saw the first one. HOLY FUCK. I didn't see that one coming. It was a real shock. This was insane. And the final speech: "Every kitten grows to be a cat" to "welcome back". Just wow. Might be the best first episode of a second season from any serie.

Hell yeah, yo. I'm sorry, but that subway scene was kinds funny. I can't believe she didn't see that coming.

From all characters in house of cards, i just hope that rachel will be happy in the end. Her and the former lover of russo are the only two human characters in this snake nest.

The one i want to see suffer is not underwood ... there is one character i really hate: his wife.

Ohh and poor lucas.

Watched the season 2 of House of Cards, was good but not great, some aspects were better than S1, some were worse, but the series as a whole does not belong to the truly great for me, especially compared to titles like Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Wire, Firefly or heck, even the recent True Detective (it´s not finished yet though, so no definite rating there). The writing is just too convenient and lazy sometimes, both regarding the plot progression and the characters´characterization, but with the top notch performances and obviously the high production value, the show will be a highlight of 2013 and 14.

I tried one of the new Amazon pilots, which are up to vote now by the way, called "Mozart in the Jungle". I really did not expect anything, especially since none of the Amazon shows i watched were truly noteworthy, the "New York Philharmonic" setting just piqued my interest since i am a huge classical music buff but the pilot pleasantly surprised me, it was pretty good. If you find the time, check it out and if you like it, vote for it on amazon, i would like to see this show picked up.

I ended season 2 of house of cards as well. The main problem with it is how lucky Underwood is. He is consistently winning the lottery with each decision. I enjoy the show for the absence of morality and the quality of the actors but it's not plausible for one second. It's really hard to believe in that story.

Not top of the league but i would watch anything with Kevin Spacey in it.

Hm, I was wrong then. I thought I read that there were 10 episodes in the season. Oh well. Maybe I assumed as much, since every 1-hour HBO show seems to follow that format.

Yeah, they said it's going to be an anthology, with a different cast and story each season. With how good it's been, I can only imagine who would be interested.

Why wouldn't they? I think the point is that you can get attached to characters, and the team of Hart and Cohle is just that good.

Why would they? Fukunaga is primarily a movie director, so whether he finds the time or the appetite to do another season is unknown. For Pizzolatto it maybe a bit different since this seems to be his pet project but who knows what kind of offers he will get after this.

Well, considering both of them, along with Harrelson and McConaughey are Executive Producers of the show, barring some unforeseen circumstance, I don't think we have to worry about only getting one season out of it. It seems pretty shortsighted. It's more likely that Fukunaga moves on than Pizzolato, like you said.

HBO is notorious for signing people on for 5 years initially. It's a bit different for the cast, because of the format, though.

It's a different sort of series, so it'll do more than just fill the void.

NBC being the great network that it is, is bringing back Heroes, in a 13-episode mini series event titled Heroes: Reborn. First 24, now Heroes? Apparently it's a whole new storyline with new characters, so we'll see how this plays out.

I'm not sure whether to be ridiculously excited or not. Used to be one of my favourite shows but we all know how it ended up...
Hopefully this break will bring the series back to its former glory so I'll be cautiously optimistic.

Iirc it was the original concept to begin with to make Heroes an anthology-show and change the cast with each season.
Instead, they gave us 4 seasons of unbreakable chearleaders.

I m not liking true detective that much after 2 episodes. I want to know more and i like both characters but it s a little slow.

Aside from that it was funny to see lili simmons as a guest in episode 2 and that girl sleeping with woody was absolutely stunning
