Dimaria doesn't have the firepower to take down a dragon. No one in this series has the power to take down a dragon, Natsu can launch 50 demolition fist and it wouldn't do jack sh*t Acnologia.Yes, he busted the mountain, I'm not denying that. What I'm denying is that he busted the WHOLE mountain. We never get to see the base of the mountain in that shot, all we see are cracks running down. There is no evidence that the cracks ran down all the way to the base, for all we know the cracks could have ended right under the shot.
Actually if you go back and look at the manga he DOES have a drop of sweat after his punch. Although im not gonna debate this too much, as it's a pretty minor detail.
Yea sure if Gildarts could blitz them then he may have a shot at winning. But can he? The strongest characters we've seen Gildarts blitz are pre time skip Natsu, the priest guy from the filler arc, and Bluenote (actually I'm not too sure on this one, I don't remember their fight all too well). All of those characters are vastly inferior to Spriggans; I highly doubt that Gildarts could blitz Dimaria and Brandish, or that even if he could that his punch would take them out. Again, feel free to correct me on the characters Gildarts has blitzed before, I haven't reread the earlier chapters in a while.
Irene and August don't need time based magic to beat Dimaria, it's called the No Limit Fallacy. You can't assume a hax has no limit simply because one hasn't been shown yet. If characters could go around using their hax on anyone regardless of how much more powerful they are then Acno would be long dead and this war wouldn't even have happened.
Agreed full on hand with this one. Plus in hindisght, the golems are much larger in size, and they would pose quite the bit of trouble, so Gray thought of just getting rid of the small fishes first enough to distract Ajeel, so Gray and the others can follow on with their master's orders. It's safe to say Marde was instant frozen completely compared to him based on intent.I'll make this my last post on Gray instafreezing Ajeel and why it wasn't exactly an instafreeze, but rather an attempt to stop his Golem in its tracks..
Gray freezing Ajeel and the Golem is fundamentally different from him insta freezing Goumon in Avatar. Considering in the first one he was fully intending to save Natsu and Lucy and in the second one he was just planning to escape, I think it's pretty obvious where he was more serious.
Look closely, he completely encased Goumon in ice, whereby in Alvarez, he encased the golem. Ajeel was just caught up in it since he was on top of the thing.![]()

Lmao if hax really doesn't have limits like you believe then what's stopping Brandish from shrinking Acnologia to the size of an ant? I don't care how strong Acno is, if you step on him while he's ant sized he's dead.Dimaria doesn't have the firepower to take down a dragon. No one in this series has the power to take down a dragon, Natsu can launch 50 demolition fist and it wouldn't do jack sh*t Acnologia.
"Dimaria time hax has a limit"
Provide me proof because the only way I saw it was Ultear countering it. I high doubt August can enter her world.
Gildarts has casual mountain busting punches, Jacob was taken out by a punch that isn't near as powerful as a mountain busting, Brandish got dropped by a karate chop by Cana.
And he bust the entire mountain, the punch started from the middle and traveled to bottom.
Wendy blitz'd dimaria, if she's incapable of reacting to that, there's no way she's dodging Gildarts. Now if you say Wendy is faster than Natsu then idk what to say...
August and Irene and the rest of the 12 would get melted by Dimaria, she can stop time and use her God take over and shoot infinite laser beams through their chest.
Thats not how it works. Ajeel won't sweat from using Sand World, his best move, does that mean he has nothing but casual attacks? There is casual, then there is trying and then there is a trump card irregardless of how much energy one spends on of those. I already more or less explained what casual is, or at least what I perceive it to be (if you believe there is another definition for it, fine by me).His attacks against Ajeel weren't as casual compared to Ul, but they were still casual regardless. He was building up power, in his attempt to freeze all of the golems near him. I'm not sure why people apply that he was aiming for Ajeel. Don't ignore Gray's condition when he released his attack, and after the effects of it, he wasn't phased, which means it was casual.
This END demon doesn't exist in my mind. If Ajeel could effortlessly thaw himself out of Grays enhanced ice with brute strength then I simply do not see a way for Gray to overpower an ice mage with his ice as we know it. He's going to need a boost, and a big one at that.Translate that to a Gray that was training to take down E.N.D, honestly, at this point a Spriggan 12 member should just be a stepping stone for him since he's intending to go against Zeref's strongest demon, so he won't use his trump card at all till the time is right.
Thats not how it works. Ajeel won't sweat from using Sand World, his best move, does that mean he has nothing but casual attacks? There is casual, then there is trying and then there is a trump card irregardless of how much energy one spends on of those.Yes, it does. The amount of magical amount you put into your attacks makes it less casual, and we never saw Base Gray ever transform into DeS State Gray until we saw it full on, so it could mean Gray was bulding up magical power to transform into his DeS State rather than charge up the power as you're implying him to be doing so. Not only did Gray not sweat when he used it his attack, but he felt absolutely nothing when Ajeel intercepting his attacks, he was calm and had no reactions, which means it was casual.
No it doesn't, because his attack is just a wave of energy/ice. He's not enhancing a certain part of the ice and "dehancing" the rest, at best you could say that whatever is at the front gets the full brunt of the attack but Ajeel was atop the golem he got it all all the same.It does matter what he aimed for, when we take into account attack potency.
He might not have a choice, such as if Juvia is in danger, or of course if he himself has no chance without it. END (as you see him) doesn't exist in my mind, its just Natsu. And I doubt Hiro will have Gray use his trump card on Zeref only for it to fail (which it will, if the scenario came up, since there is a huge line-up of characters who want and/or have a way to take down Zeref, specifically Mavis who is having a huge build up for the inevitable reveal). Better to see it in all its glory against a Spriggan which he can defeat.Because it would make no sense for Hiro to put panels of Hiro showing Gray marking his conquest of putting down END/Zeref with his trump card, if he uses it on Invel or any other spriggan, so logically put into effect, Hiro wouldn't have the drawn the panel for nothing,
There's a difference between englufing everything into sand with your moves, compared to releasing an attack meaning to freeze the target. We're not talking but just sweating here, we're also talking about the fact that Gray's reactions and temperaments means quite a lot. I consider IM Silver to be around a low-mid diff spell at best in his arsenal.Thats not how it works. Ajeel won't sweat from using Sand World, his best move, does that mean he has nothing but casual attacks? If by accidentally tripping caused Gildarts to make deep cracks into the earth then a punch would bust the mountain.Lmao if hax really doesn't have limits like you believe then what's stopping Brandish from shrinking Acnologia to the size of an ant? I don't care how strong Acno is, if you step on him while he's ant sized he's dead.
Here's the problem with you claiming that Dimaria can solo all the Spriggans. If you believe that Dimaria has no limit on her hax, you have to believe the same for others. Why can't Brandish just enlarge Dimaria's brain and kill her instantly? Why can't Jacob put all the Spriggans into his own little dimension? Why can't Neinhart create Igneel and have him solo everyone? Why can't Mest or Mirajane manipulate them into killing each other? The entire Fairy Tail universe would fall apart if hax had no limits and you could use them on anyone regardless of how much stronger they are.
I've already explained to you how the punch Gildarts used in the silent chapter was in no way casual. He was enraged and veins were even popping out of his face. I literally don't see any way someone could interpret that as being casual.
I don't see how Jacob and Natsu's fight has any relevance with what we are discussing. And Brandish was only taken out by Cana's chop because she was severely weakened by her pollen allergy and she didn't see it coming.
The punch traveling from the top of the screen to the bottom is not the same thing as splitting the mountain from the top to the bottom. Again, for the third time, the area that was shown isn't the whole mountain. There was no change in geography or landscape that would suggest that we could see the base of the mountain.
I don't think it changes her durability at all. Brandish was having allergies from pollen which were dispersed by the storm, which just left her vulnerable. In that position she was able to be KO'd by Cana.Provide proof that Ajeels sandstorm weakens the durability of Brandish. She got dropped by a karate chop which showcases her durability.
The reason why Gildarts is able to do things like crack the earth with his face is not because he's extremely op or whatever. It's because he's careless and he doesn't always have his magic quite under control. This isn't the same thing as Natsu and Mirajane evaporating water with their magic power. This is Gildarts using Crash magic with his face when he didn't mean to. It's no different than one of his punches. If by accidentally tripping caused Gildarts to make deep cracks into the earth then a punch would bust the mountain.
The reason why this is not a straw man is because I'm not claiming that this is your point of view, nor is it a red herring because what I'm talking about is completely relevant to our discussion. I brought up those examples as hypothetical questions for you to ask yourself. What I'm saying is that if you believe that Dimaria's magic has no limit because one hasn't been shown yet, then these absurd and ridiculous situations would make perfect sense by applying your logic. My argument had nothing to do with story progression whatsoever. Now you're using manipulation gymnastics and a straw man red herring fallacy, I was not comparing Hax abilities to story's progression, I was arguing that Dimaria has no limits.
Do you even know what an appeal to popularity fallacy is? An appeal to popularity fallacy is when the person uses the popularity of his claim as evidence that it is true. Simply having an argument that many others agree with is not a fallacy. Nowhere in my comments did I mention the popularity of my point of view and nowhere in my comments did I try to use that popularity to say that I'm right. Then you use an appeal to popularity fallacy, congratulations Daniel, you have more supporters on your limit fallacy so that means you're right.
Ok it's become quite clear to me that you don't understand what the word casual means. Doing something casually means to do it without serious or definite intent. It has nothing to do with how tired Gildarts is after his punch, unless you're implying that if you use a serious attack then you have to be exhausted afterwards, which is ridiculous. If it wasn't a casual punch then why isn't he tired out? After the punch he looked completely fine and was ready to go again with Natsu.
I'm not picking points, what I addressed is literally the whole of your proof. Literally the only evidence you have provided as to why his punch was casual was his demeanor after the punch. This is exactly what I addressed, the reason I'm not picking points is because this is your ONLY point."It doesn't matter what happens after he busted the mountain"
Once again you're using a straw man red herring fallacy, you're picking points to make my argument easier to refute.
It does matter to see the aftermath, we get to see if he used all his strength or not which he clearly didnt.
Allergic reactions can cause people to pass out and can even be life threatening. Is it really so absurd to suggest that it may have weakened Brandish's body and therefore lowered her durability?Provide proof that Ajeels sandstorm weakens the durability of Brandish. She got dropped by a karate chop which showcases her durability.
Why are you drawing that assumption from one technique? Gray freezing the golem plus the surrounding landscape is similar to Silver freezing the area around Gray so that he wouldn't use the rubble to attack him, he obviously has stronger techniques in his arsenal....that was a BASIC technique for Gray..If Ajeel could effortlessly thaw himself out of Grays enhanced ice with brute strength then I simply do not see a way for Gray to overpower an ice mage with his ice as we know it.
Yeah he was very angry. But I did say he might have been holding back to keep Cana and the other ft members from getting caught in his supposed uncontrollable power. He only used three magic spells. Breaking rock or walls is something he does even when he's not fighting. It's possible that he is nothing but hype also. I see both sides of the coin. Either way anger doesn't meant they aren't holding back. Natsu didn't like seeing Jacob attacking Mavis or Lucy, but he managed to control himself and keep from melting the guild and city. It's either Gildarts didn't want the same thing happening on tenrou where he destroys the place and gets others involved in his crash magic, or he nothing more than hype that Natsu has far surpassed. Point is I wouldn't write it on stone yet that Gildarts is weaker then the mages of this arc.Gildarts was bloodlusted at Bluenote after what he was doing to Cana, there is no question that he went all out.
If he could combine all 8 in a mode the level of offence (with his MP) would be ridiculous. Considering his individual elements are comparable to Base Natsu, just adding 2 together would be like LFD. We've not seen 3 or more, so it's up to Serena to give us that. How strong would g. Serena be if he could combine all 8 modes? I trust in his massive potential.
I don't think it would be better if he was a Dragneel. Right now his level of relevance is quite low imo given he's a Historia.Furthermore, don't you think it would have been better if it was g. Serena Dragneel. Thus meaning g. Serena is not his real name, it could be his epithet,

My opinion on Acnologia's element is that it's a combo of many elements (from reaping souls), like Etherion is. Maybe GS can make an Etherion-like blast if he combines his 8.

I doubt his name is God though, haha. He's got an ego on him, so I'd say he named himself God. Well you only have to look at my signature![]()
He should have been Yuri Dreyar lol...either way having the strongest person on Ishgar be a Dragneel would be bad writing, like Naruto levels of bad, Natsu doesn't need any more OP relativesFurthermore, don't you think it would have been better if it was g. Serena Dragneel. Thus meaning g. Serena is not his real name, it could be his epithet, god of serenity, instead of bringing up random Larcade Dragneel.
Are you saying she can tank mountain busting punches?Oh boy here we go.

Just because he has stronger attacks in his arsenal does not mean it was a basic attack, because he also has far weaker attacks in his arsenal. His base techs are basic and casual, that technique had undeniably more effort put into it, even if it wasn't a huge amount of effort. Why are you drawing that assumption from one technique? Gray freezing the golem plus the surrounding landscape is similar to Silver freezing the area around Gray so that he wouldn't use the rubble to attack him, he obviously has stronger techniques in his arsenal....that was a BASIC technique for Gray..
Whats the difference (in the context of course)? SW is Ajeels trump card, yet by your definition its just a casual move. Does that really make sense to you? There's a difference between englufing everything into sand with your moves, compared to releasing an attack meaning to freeze the target. We're not talking but just sweating here, we're also talking about the fact that Gray's reactions and temperaments means quite a lot. I consider IM Silver to be around a low-mid diff spell at best in his arsenal.
END is Natsu, not some different demon persona. Even Zeref says this, hence why he gave up hope and said Natsu won't get another chance once Igneels power runs out (if there was an END, that would have been the time for him to come out). Ajeel overpowered an attack that had more effort put into it then Grays regular attacks, easily.END will be existing inside of Natsu when the book is released through Zeref's seal of removing, and Ajeel overpowered an attack that was casual, and was not intended to be used against him. Or you can simply wait for Gray to go all out in his DeS mode, instead of feverishly stating he needs a big boost. How is that for starters?
Putting more effort into the attack then he normally does does not translate into enhancing one part of a wave of ice and not doing anything to the rest. He would have been better off just targeting the golem and not wasting any MP he doesn't need to waste. Furthermore, the goal was to stop Ajeel from attacking, not just the golem. It wouldn't really make sense to just stop the golem when Ajeel can make another one. And on top of all that, targeting the golem would mean Ajeel is similarly targeted because he is right on top of the golem, claiming that all of the golem was targeted and the little ant sitting atop of it wasn't nearly as affected is a huge stretch to say the least. You just said he was enhancing his ice not too long ago.
Except END (as you see him) existing is an assumption itself since Zeref has already stated that Natsu is END, not that END is some demon inside Natsu waiting to be awakened. Mavis has by far the most beef with Zeref, its likely that she will downright solo him with whatever underhanded trick she has planned. Jellal and Gray might get a couple of swings at Zeref but I doubt they will have any say in his demise. Jellal has a better chance then Gray at least since he has devoted an entire organization and 8 years just to bring down Zeref whereas Grays beef with Zeref isn't very direct (he has more beef with his demons, specifically END).That's just an assumption. For what we can see so far Gray's trump card will be based on END, not The huge trump card will be used on. and given the nature of which characters deserve to fight Zeref the most, Jellal, Gray and Mavis are the top 3 in that regard. Plus as stated before Gray's Des cursed based techniques already have the means to damage Zeref regardless. Again, Mashima drew that panel for a reason, it's not to use it on a spriggan. Juvia could be fighting Ajeel with other characters, so it's no guarantee she will tag along. Gray doesn't need to babysit someone right now.
Just on the point about dead power, who else apart from Zeref would actually know that this can kill him? From what we know Natsu was using Igneel's MP because it was big-time, not because it was dead power.I actually contest the notion that Gray has a means of killing Zeref. Tartarus Gray did because the late Silver gave him his MP, however that MP is gone now just like Igneels MP is gone with Natsu. Gray has DeS magic operating under his own MP now, which is not from someone dead
