You envying their trips you perhaps will never be able to take gives them satisfaction and the feeling of superiority. That's a really honest thing of you to say Charles, but life doesn't end in 5 or 10 or 15 years. When you're that old and you happen to visit those places then, it'll still be as great and valuable an experience as it will be if you go tomorrow. It's about how you (want to) spend resources in the end. Keep in mind that comparing yourself to others ultimately has no up sides because quite honestly it's never going to be a fair comparison anyway. Besides any picture you see if a snapshot of reality, not a recording or telling. It's great they visited but unless someone is bm'ing you over it, they're merely sharing an observation. You can enjoy it or leave it alone, but try avoiding become bitter. Nah man - I mean its great that people can visit various places they want to and i admire people that are able to fulfill those goals and wishes.
