He can give them moments, nothing implies he can't. And whatever you say, giving us these ecchi moments doesn't mean there's any development between the two or that anything is going on. Only reason why people think this signifies anything is because they're reaching hard.I see you say these things a lot on this thread. The problem with Nalu is that they have the most screen time, so if Mashima wants to make them cannon at the end of the series and not before, he can't afford to give them these massive shipping moments he does the other pairings. So what does he do? He uses the stereotypical shounen ecchi moments to give us an indicator of what he's planning, without haveing to show all his cards or make you wonder where the pairing came from when it happens. It's only now in one of the last arcs that we actually get to know what they're thinking, as shown with Lucy defending Natsu to DiMaria. After Irene showed up, it would have been a lot easier for Lucy who's also tired from fighting to carry Juvia, but she wanted to carry Natsu. Gray, Juvia and Natsu are all unconscious, but it's Natsu she's right beside. It's that very slow shift from neutral to positive that Nalu is, Mashima's laid the foundation, now he's building a house.
And it makes sense for Lucy to carry Natsu, doesn't mean much as they've spent tons of time with each other.
