As someone who cares only about characters , I have to say that the villains or whatever of Demon's Plan were actually good , I liked their design.

I thought that the relationship between Boro and Carlos in chapter 1 was done pretty well until it ended on some Naruto/Sasuke type of relationship which I didnt like. Patron and Eustass were pretty cool too

Carlos was always the better and more interesting character than Boro. Eutass became a great character after hearing his backstory. The thing that was weird with Demon's Plan to me was just how Boro and Carlos fought from the jump in Chapter 1. It felt like the ending of Naruto was happening in the introductory chapter. That could of been another reason why subscribers weren't fucking with it.

I have a friend that is legitmately crushed that Demon's Plan is getting axed. He thought it was the best new Jump manga since Toriko, and it honestly baffles me why he's so in love with it.
How can he say that Toriko was the best series since it's release?

Reading this week authors'comment remind me of Bakuman regarding the New Year's party.

A new mangaka get to meet their idol must be the best feeling ever (Horikoshi and Oda).

Or other young mangaka when they realized Saeki Shun is tosh :gwah:derp:cheez:3c. It's probably pretty hilarious to start a conversation haha.

I would really love to hear about the various interactions between mangaka at the New Years Parties. It would be cool to find out who is closest to who.

I keep seeing ppl saying Posuka is a girl, but can't find a legit source other then people saying it.

The author of Kimetsu No Yaiba is supposedly a girl. From what I'm seeing fans supposedly saw her at Jump Fest and that's how people found out

You kinda answered yourself. The guy think that Toriko is a good manga.

In my opinion, Toriko was a good manga til the end. Great, even, and the ending was one of the best I've seen period.
Agreed. I'm still upset about it getting cut short. But, I'm hoping Shima comes back in a decade or so and gets a chance to properly do the space arc. :)

Yeah, far better than everybody marrying everybody (looking at you Naruto and Bleach)

Do you guys think it's possible for jump to have a line up where almost every thing is doing well enough not to get axed and the rankings constantly fluctuate do to everything doing well?

That was sort-of happening for a while last year, 2 of the 3 late 2015 series were surviving (until August anyway) there were no failed new series from 2016 until Takuan in issue 24.

But then a bunch of the perma bottoms ended within a couple months of each other and 6 of the 7 replacement from the last 3rd of the year flopped.

A bit of a different question, what do people think is most likely to be an almost-success of the new 6?

I'm thinking stuff like Mononofu and Magico where they start off somewhat promisingly making it past a few batches but fail to draw in enough of a long term fanbase to keep it going, and end up cancelled after a year or so.

I read U19's summary, sounds like it could be good. Hungry Marie too. Besides good plot, just toss in some potential ships and cool power progression and you have a fandom. Which is what I think we'll see from these two.

It... IS a good manga. Or was, rather.
How is it not a good series?

Agreed. I'm still upset about it getting cut short. But, I'm hoping Shima comes back in a decade or so and gets a chance to properly do the space arc. :)
That's just promises he couldn't keep.

Toriko never suffered backlash for poor writing regarding its conclusion, in fact, the ending was written well. It's just the people who were unrealistically expecting the series to go on for another 2-5 years that got disappointed. (Which is pretty ignorant on their end)

Impossible. It's a utopia.
