>season 1
>assuming it won't be a long runner

it's studio clown were talking about

speaking of which, still no eldlive boost, a boring season without much competition yet no one even talks about

wondering what Amano will do, will she abandon it and start a new thing or will she stick with a franchise that won't grow bigger
Time to abandon ship. Most ppl find the anime complete garbage it seems, and a suppose the no increase in sales reflects that

Is there a chance for Saiki or Samon-kun being cancelled?
Possibly for Saiki. Those low ranks don't mean much considering its a comedy so it can be super high or low and fluctuate. Although considering the anime did nothing and its sales will never grow beyond what they are (and they're quite poor) Jump may axe it. I mean, its can only go downhill from here, there's even less reason to keep it over the 30k sellers who don't have animes yet. Samon is the one series I don't read so I can't judge. Its probably a better decision to can Saiki and keep Samon because we don't know if Samon can do better yet, it might explode with an anime, who knows. Im still sticking with the 4 new series plus Straighten Up ending though.

Well she's already been going on it for 3 and a half years and its never been popular. The smart thing to do would be to end it and start something new.

Saiki is getting a second season, so I doubt it's getting axed anytime soon.
Samon is a possibility though

True, but considering the first season did nothing for the manga's sales, im assuming they're doing it because the anime itself was profitable and not to promote the manga. The anime did sell pretty badly though (could only find first week sales), I'm still surprised it even got a second season. But I guess it was very low budget. I don't know a lot about the anime industry, but I've heard in some cases sales don't mean all that much like in ACs case? The manga can still be cancelled. Not saying I want it to be, but I could understand if they did decide to.

Could end while s2 is airing or shortly thereafter. They did like to say during the anime every chapter animated...

Meh, the manga went to an all time low where it's very hard to redeem itself. Wouldn't be bothered if it fell off in the rankings soon...
It is hard to understand why you have Rindo in your avatar and yet you are not rooting to the series. Of course, you don't have to defend it no matter what, Souma vs. Hayama deserved what it got, but now the series came back to the atmosphere that led it to success in the magazine. Therefore, I would expect from a fan at least hoping for the best for the series..

March 25th? That's sooner than I thought!! If it's in March, does it count as part of the Spring line-up or this season's line-up?

Edit: just checked the dates, and it starts the week before April Fool's. Either they don't want people to think they're pulling their legs, or there's a special programme on that day.

Boichi talking about Dr. Stone:
With Dr. Stone, you’re starting a second weekly manga only half a year after Origin’s start. How is that even possible?!
I… I still don’t know, I can’t say if it’s possible to keep going or not… Impossible to know yet.

I haven’t started Dr. Stone yet so we will see if I can do both or not. For now, I have two deadlines: Young magazine and Shonen Jump.

Some editors say this is a whole new thing that has never done before. Some say, it’s impossible for a man to do so much work. And some others say weekly will be very difficult with my drawing style.

Well, I do feel that it’s a nearly impossible plan, but I will try anyways. If it’s a success, it will be a very meaningful thing.

Even if it fails, it will stay a worthy challenge for me and I would have the chance to learn many things from this opportunity. I believe that the way to success for this mission is to try hard everyday.

What I’ve learned from the great editors and mangakas from Japanese manga circles is that the most important thing for a mangaka is the effort produced!! I would say this is the artisan spirit.

So I will keep trying harder everyday, and success or not, I accept this challenge.

In fact, I now need to draw 136 pages a month. It will ask of me to draw 6 pages a day but it’s not an impossible thing. I have good assistants to help me.

For me, planning to prepare for the series is much harder than being serialized in a magazine.

Preparing and publishing Terra Formars Asimov for 7 months, then serializing Origin, and now getting ready for Dr. Stone only half a year later. It’s a lot of hard work that also requires lots of time and money.

Origin is still a new title in Young Magazine and I’ve yet to get used to it. There are still many preparations left to take care of.

We don’t know much about Dr.Stone yet aside that it’s an Adventure/Action/SF manga with a story by Riichiro Inagaki. Would you like to add anything for your fans?

I’m sorry, but as Dr.Stone is not solely my own work, I can’t tell you much by myself.

Plus, the main creator of this work is not me, but Riichiro Inagaki-sensei. He sent me a very detailed and amazing nemu (thumbnails) for Dr.Stone.

Riichiro Inagaki sensei is the creator of Dr.Stone’s universe. I’m trying to draw his amazing creative world in a manga as best as I can.

I had a lot of fun when reading his nemu, it’s very cool! I’m learning a lot from him.

The main characters of this story are two boys. One is very strong, and the other is very smart. The strong boy has a strong and good heart while the smart boy has a vision and a mission.

In some ways, it’s a similar relationship to the one between Ken and Tea-Soo in Sun-ken Rock. They will have an amazing adventure.

It’s so much fun to draw this because both the story and genre of Dr.Stone are SciFi and Post Apocalyptic which I especially love to watch and read.

I am thoroughly enjoying myself while preparing for it.

Finally, Dr. Stone will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump. As the name implies, this magazine is aimed at a younger audience. Will this change anything in how you draw girl’s butts?

On this issue I want to voice a complaint to my editor and Inagaki-sensei!!! They really have no interest in Bishojo (Pretty girls) at all.

I’ve drawn and designed two boys and one girl character. I was very dutiful when drawing the girl character, but for the boys’ design… nope. I drew them with my feet.

I sent them all together but they didn’t even mention a single word about the girl. They focused on the boys and never talked about the girl!!! My god…

Does anyone want to read a manga featuring smelly guys? Do you read Sun-Ken Rock to see sweaty and stinky male characters, huh? Do you read Origin, to see what Origin says and does? I don’t!!!

When inking the male characters’, I’ll mix my booger in the ink…

I WANT TO MAKE A STRONG CLAIM TO MY EDITOR AND INAGAKI-SENSEI!!

FORGET ABOUT MALE CHARACTERS!! LET ME DRAW MORE FEMALE CHARACTERS!!!

IF YOU DO NOT, I WILL USE INK WITH MY BOOGERS MIXED IN IT!!!

And about World Trigger, is there any news about the author's health status?
Only thing I found in regards to this is this:

World Trigger volume 18 is listed for the 03/03/2017 on Jump official site :
http://www.shonenjump.com/j/comics/
You need to scroll down on that link to see the list. World trigger 18 is written as :
ワールドトリガー【18】

It's also talked about here :
http://onepiece-naruto.com/blog-entry-2124.html

This is pretty good news for an eventual come back, but the thing is that the volume didn't get listed in the last magazine, which make it a bit confusing for the nips (and for us) for now. They are speculating it's a printing error.

So wait and see, but good things could come.
Dunno if this is true or just a printing error.

WT have 13 chapters not collected in a tank

theoretically they could put out a new volume without putting a new chapter

Did Shueisha read Bakuman and just think "hey, let's get some poor sap be the real-life Eiji Niizuma and see how long he lasts."

Reborn was worst than elDLIVE in the beginning and she made it become kind of meh. Let's see if the miracle is going to happen again.

It is hard to understand why you have Rindo in your avatar and yet you are not rooting to the series. Not exactly. I would rather that my favorite series end soon rather than having a long run and fucking up the whole series, like what's happening to Souma.

Maybe it will be long running like most anime in the new time slot
They are reairing season 1 in this time slot and will get season 2 to air as soon as the reair of season 1 ends. Don't think that Bones has all that money to buy this apparently expensive slot for 3 seasons in a row.

Do you read <Origin>, because see what Origin says and what he does? I don’t!!!
Literally laughed out loud the whole interview, but this quote... damn, Boichi. He should be doing a comedy manga.
