No dude... I'm asking... If it were so bad, WHY IT RECEIVED AN ANIME? Answer me that. It's simple lol.

I could not care less about an already ended series ranking lol.
For the same reason Medaka Box got an anime at the same time: last chance. Medaka Box was not that lucky and was cut right after.
If Shueisha had the chance to make an anime and extract some money from it, why not? But I don't that they expected a success like this.

Medaka's last chance? The author want to finish the series before the anime began but Jump said "no".

Continuing my last post...
You always have to have in mind that Jump is kind of special because it is the biggest manga magazine in history, almost everything, even the bad positioned mangas sell better than the majority of the mangas that comes out in other magazines. Every series that has the opportunity to last long enough gets an anime. Kuroko no Basket was in its last breaths, it was already at the bottom for so long... They gave it a last try and boom... We know that fujoishi don't ask much to swarm to a series like a bunch of bees. XD

Haikyuu also didnt do too well before its anime. Even ranked last a few times if I remember right. But it still sold decently which is why it got an anime. I presume the same is true of Kuroko.

Expectations for Robot: A lot of people seem to think it wont be good just because its golf. Thats a bit unfair to me. I hate watching and playing most sports irl, i have my favourite few and thats it. But regardless, there are always series about these sports I hate that i end up loving. Golf is no exception. If its well written, then the sport doesnt really matter. Plus its most likely gonna have some crazy Super Saiyan golfers who can adjust the balls trajectory while its in the air or some shit. Who doesnt love that.

So whats the expectation going into the golf manga in two weeks?
If it's anything like the last golf manga in Jump (that I remember), Rising Impact, it could be a lot of fun. And it's got a better chance than most sports manga in Jump. The "unconventional" sports seem to do the best overall in Jump.

Gotouge's comment though. Is that just a pronoun error or did Gotouge used "he" ?

and Posuka Demizu's comment sound like the artist use tradition paper/ink :xp

The point of an anime isn't to make a series more popular, it's for the animation company to make their own product and sell it. If the only thing an anime does is sell more copies of the manga, then the anime is considered a failure. I don't get why everyone thinks publishers "give" series anime to promote them, it's the animation company that has to offer to animate it.

Low expectations.
Again another series that is treated like some kind of masterpiece without deserving such treatment. Kuroko no Basket was dead last for a long time before the anime comes out and the fujoishis discover it and save it from complete oblivion.
Given the fact that it's getting serialized on the same week as the KnB movie, they're definitely still relying on the KnB fujoshis to at least check it out.

Honestly, it's a shame though. Because I actually liked KnB long before it blew up thanks to the fujos. Fujimaki is a pretty good writer and he definitely is good at writing how the characters play off each other. That's what I liked about reading KnB.

If Jump still wants to milk the series, they could always have him write a series of epilogue one-shots featuring the real-life NBA players. I could see him writing chapters for Aomine, Kagami, Kuroko, and Kise. In this KnB-verse, Steph and James should be literal walking gods.

If it's anything like the last golf manga in Jump (that I remember), Rising Impact, it could be a lot of fun. And it's got a better chance than most sports manga in Jump. The "unconventional" sports seem to do the best overall in Jump.
Well, you've made me feeling a bit optimistic.

Right... Kuroko was "bad" like Medaka... Greatest comparison EVER.

You're correct, the animation company offers it to create another product, but the manga company accept to promote the first one, not because they are "good guys" =)

It's that obvious.

I'm not not interested because it's golf, I'm not interested because Fujimaki's a hack.
I didn't hate his archery oneshot, one of the mcs was annoying crybaby, but he might have grown on me like Zenitsu from KnY

it's Kaiu's comment tho, he might be talking about losing the eraser when writing the script or making the namus

The studio offers, but the publisher accepts it. It must be a mutually beneficial relationship and if the proposal is not good, the publisher can and will refuse it. We don't have information about this, but it is sure happens. Since we are talking about Jump and Shueisha, it is obvious that we ara going to talk about the publisher aspect of the thing. The ones who decide such things is the publisher, they are the ones who make sure the proposal is good AND the series is ready for an anime, therefore, they give it the chance.

You're right. I did like that Vanguard Archer oneshot. Shame that Blech Clover would prevent it from success.
I hate KnB though,

When it comes to ranking, yes, it was as bad as Medaka Box. Let me explain again, we are talking about rankings here, NUMBERS, not which one was the best series plotwise or anything. We are talking plain and simple numbers. If you deny that, you just don't know how to read numbers.

speaking of author's comments

Ayakashi-kun Katteiru wasn't on the leaked toc, but it seems to be under SnS

I thought they were promoting the manga starting on Plus but it seem to be a last minute thing to increase the pages counts and fill BnHA's empty spot
