I think that's because Mashima only planned for Gajeel/Levy to have kids. I mean we had a light novel about Gajeel/Levy's twins and the twins were seen in chapter 488.

Well everyone knows how much of a troll Mashima is I mean there's a reason why Mashima is called Trollashima and Mashima did mention on twitter that chapter 545 is the last chapter. Also I think the series will end off with the anime which the anime will end up resolving a lot of stuff though I think spin offs will also be used to tie up loose ends. I have to agree that the light novels are semi-canon I mean Gajeel/Levy's twins appeared in chapter 488.

I have been thinking the light novels are semi-canon too besides Hiro doing art for them, kemo-kemo was adapted into the anime (to me that made it basically on the same level as an omake), the twins were canonly mentioned, Mashima also tries to include mentioned of OVA as Christmas omake had a throw back to the girls getting drunk in the OVA. He also had Eclair appear in fairy tail zero and had Sonya shown in Acno's backflash. Plus zentopia was mentioned by Yukino in gmg.

Think Mashima works hard to try to include all the filler anime arcs, movies, light novels, omakes. The only ones not included canonly was the spinoffs bit like the Laxus's one but the ending played off so it would fit right before Fairy tail fetches him. While Mashima had more of a presence in dictating the Gray spinoff.

I understand the disappointment, but harassing Mashima? There's no sense in it, and he said Fairy Tail isn't done yet, so yeah. We may just see more. Mashima has never been to create characters to kill them every time, that he likes Game of Trones does not imply that he should copy it, it is as if a creator of works of study has to put ideas of Tarantino for his projects.

Simply stated how much he likes that work, as well as being a fan of Berserker and has shown that he is a fan of Marvel and DC, are just expressions of his tastes in programs and series
