about Golem Hearts, keep your exceptions low people, this is Jump
1-the oneshot might be cool but the series could be shit, we had tons of examples on this, Goblin Knight being the most famous example
2-even if it is good it could be axed in 12 weeks, someone just posted an article about Jump being extra harsh to rookies on purpose the other day
Do they already know in their minds what they wanna be extra harsh on or do they let the readers decide that first? Seems like TPN had no issues, Yuragi and KnY too.

So apparently Yuuna is getting a stage event at Jump Festa.
Kimetsu is not getting one though according to this. Will have to wait for confirmation when Jump releases about this.
SQ's representatives for stages are Kekkai Sensen and New PoT, revealed in the recent issue of SQ
I hope Kimetsu doesn't get an anime announcement...at least atm. It's too early and I want S1 to be 2 cour (altho material we have atm is enough for that but still too early).

Plus I want more backlog sales when anime arrives :hee.

I'd imagine a s2 would end on ch 69 so there's more than enough content, plus it'd be over ch 100 by the time it started airing anyway. I just hope Toei or whoever doesn't try to make a long runner out of it, I feel like the show would work better as a 2 cour thing.

I know but I still want to wait a bit longer. I'm against it being a long runner too. Really worried that Toei will get it because they've been way too quiet, they are bound to pick up at least one of these titles.

Toei will make it into a long runner, censor it to fuck and make it look kidish. It'll get the Toriko treatment but to a lesser extent in terms of censorship.

Has there ever been a ping pong manga in jump before?
we just had Ageha not to long ago, it looked like it was surviving in the lower half of the mag until it crushed and burned
there was also P2 by a former Oda's assistant, lasted 7 volumes

not in the main magazine but there is also Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume which is ongoing and was adapted to anime

what else has Ageha guy done since the series got cancelled? I see there's a oneshot about violin demons or something that someone even translated but the usual database sites tend to be missing a lot of oneshots so I don't know if it's his only new thing or not.
it's the only thing he did, it was in the same Jump Next issue as UBS mangaka oneshot

Toei should get zumou.
If you actually read it, Toei is the last studio that should get it.

Production IG, get the same staff that did Haikyuu or something.

Actually not really sure what Kimetsu should get. I don't want Madhouse and MAPPA, it seems like MAPPA has been using a lot of CGI lately. It's been bugging me

Judging by the temperature here people will soon get desperate enough to take any studio, including Toei, because Hinomaru Zumou is in a dire situation regarding anime. I think it will never happen.

I don't. I hate their designs for their characters, especially macho looking characters.

I think it's more about tough love and teaching the authors that think they're the next big thing humility and the importance of listening to their editors

your examples are not valid, Muira and Posaka are not rookies, they drew multiple manga and novels and KnY struggled in the bottom a lot at first
on the other hands Hinomaru Zumou written by a rookie was pushed super hard and got a cp what seems like every week
and it all happened after getting the first place on its first rank so this strategy might have exceptions if the fans reception is good enough

Pig has not been able to do ballroom justice, so toei would be preferable.

They don't specifically target rookies. Its more that rookies, especially promising rookies, have/had a tendency to come in and write manga that are hard for the readers to empathize and relate to and they also get overconfident and don't listen to their editors who have seen many similar rookies and thus know what mistakes to avoid. They end up making these mistakes and then quickly get cancelled in 10 chapters. Oda was also a promising rookie that was overconfident. Oda himself mentions this. He also did not want to get cancelled because he was unsure if he could recover and write a second series. Thus, his editor, Kushima raised the bar really high before he was serialized and had huge amount of corrections he wanted Oda to make. Of course Oda didn't want to make the changes but eventually made some of the changes listed. If there were things that he did not want to change, he'd refuse to change them. It apparently looked like Oda and his editor were fighting constantly from the outside. These changes led him to write an incredible first chapter and have a really polished story that instantly took off. His editor was really able to bring out Oda's strengths. There's this stigma of editors doing more bad than good but if it wasn't for Kushima, we wouldn't have One Piece in its current format.

I've always hated it but I'm so glad they're changing that. Hopefully they can do that with all their manga and then maybe we wouldn't have to wait a year for hxh vol. 35

anyone noticed that lately Jump Plus oneshots are being received very well by the fans and more talked about than the main magazine oneshots?

it started with Yoru wo higashi ni oneshot then SWORD IN THE CITY oneshot and now Flower for Lonely Witch

Rojiura Bunch, Vocimen, Saguri-chan, Yumizuka Iroha, Macho Gourmet, Magic Eater, and recently Golem Hearts all got serialized relatively soon after being published on Jump Plus so I'm excepting the previous 3 to pop up as a series either in the app or the magazine in the future
