This manga has become like psyren. After 70 odd chapter, it deteriorated

You know, I was a bit weary about picking this manga up for a while. Kind of was put off by the 'young headstrong protagonist with a headband' thing. Seemed a bit generic. But I finally began reading the other day and I'm glad I did, maybe it isn't the most unique in terms of concept (you know, a world of magic powers and one boy's quest to reach the top), but I really like the world, the powers, the characters and the art too. So I'm catching up on it now.

I mean, the CG chains looked fairly terrible. But other than the animation seemed to look fine to good. Going to keep my expectations low, this is Studio Pierrot we're talking about, but maybe this is going to be the one adaptation they get right.

Please, let that be the case.

I just watched two first episodes, and I have a quick question to people who read the manga: does it give occasions for all the characters to shine (like the first half of "Naruto"), or is it exclusively focused on the MC? By the opening and ending I'd guess that at least Yuno gets a large storyline, but it may just be aesthetic; so far he mainly just stood there, letting Asta rescue him (both in the flashbacks and the present) =.=

After chapter 3 in the manga (after the Magic Knight Entrance Exam), we get introduced to a good number of side characters and through the manga most of them get to shine. Of course, Asta gets the main shine, since he is the MC, but his actions often result in making the other side characters stand out more. I think almost all the Black Bulls get to shine at some point, except two characters. One is very shy and doesnt get that much screentime, and the other has a gag of being left out. As for the other magic knight orders, mostly the captains get to shine, but their subordinates have a good role too and some good moments of course. Yuno has a number of very good moments, but overall Asta and the Black Bulls get more shine and more stuff to do.
