I'd recommend you to try and expand to some other magazines as well, I'm sure you'll find a series that you will adore somewhere, but you won't find it if you don't search for it.
Thanks I thought Jump was the only magazine :derp. Here's where we agree though, it is more diversity. Not denying but it goes both ways. Diversity shouldn't be as black and white as "let's add battle, romance, horror, sci-fi, ecchi, gag into a pot and hope it cooks some good shit up". The prospect of replacing 10 bad battlers with 10 bad romances and saying "it's diverse" is even worse. I was a huge fan of Sailor Moon, something that's about girls transforming and going to school, which if I didn't know any better it's a borderline shojo and shojo are rarely entertaining, or good for that matter. Yugioh was focused on games then turning into card games, it was nothing short of amazing. Bought so many cards and watched every series up until GX and completed the manga in the summer. Two polar opposite series that I enjoyed bigly. Diversity is great when it works around a central idea becoming fun, but having different things don't mean it's great.

Good increase to Black Clover, before the anime (and even with Volume 13, launched in October) it never sold more than Gintama. Now, with 14, it's doing 20K better than, I'm happy.

Also, I think Gintama has been dropping now.

So did BC get a boost?
Not really. The last volume (#13) sold 144.506 copies in 12 days. This volume (#14) sold 182.561 copies in 14 days. Divide the amount of copies sold through the amount of days respectively and you get this:
#13: 144.506 copies / 12 days = 12.042 copies/day
#14: 182.561 copies / 14 days = 13.040 copies/day
Volume #14 just sold 1k copies more per day, which means volume #14 should have sold around 156.480 copies in 12 days, just 12k more than volume #13.
For comparison: The Promised Neverland had a bigger boost from volume #3 to volume #4 than Black Clover's volumes #13 and #14 have.

I didn't say it's flopping, but it sure didn't seem to get a big boost after the first cour of the anime. It is doing well, but it should've done a lot better probably, that's my observation at least.

There's a boost but its not very impressive especially in comparison to virtually everything within the last three years. Fans are obviously happy that it got something of a boost as oppose to the recent flop UQ Holder which did nothing for its source of material sales but considering the push campaign for Black Clover had for three years before its anime and still is getting its going to seem lackluster for outside observers.

It's having a boost, just not THAT great like some of us expected. Something like WT's levels of growing up.

Golden Dawn is more interesting to follow than the Black Bulls by a long shot. I like Mimosa.

I'm waiting until march for comparisons with World Trigger. Both of their anime started in october and in march World Trigger finally sold 200k in it's second weeks. Black Clover's small boost could be because of the slow start and maybe the dungeon arc, which should end around march, could give it a bigger boost, but if by the end of march it can't sell 200k in it's second weeks i would give up on it.

I completely agree with you. Apart from the fact that my favorite (an the best one in my opinion) arc is the Invasion of the Royal Capital, the one that comes right after the Dungeon arc, I do not think it will cause a boost by itself.

Do we have any idea of act-age will be a romcom or something more interesting? I'd like it if it was actually about the show-biz. Like a shonen version of Glass Mask or Skip Beat.

People described the oneshot as a bit like Shokugeki but with acting instead of cooking, though oneshots can always change when turning into full series.
