it was both gag and delinquents and it was hilarious

I fully acknowledge I'm an outlier when it comes to Beelzebub here. It gets much love from the "last batch of the 00s" (Nurarihyon no Mago, Medaka Box) manga despite having the worst anime.

some rookies are mimicking the artstyles of famous mangakas

Dick sword, now that's something you don't see everyday.

it's funny and all, but this is a prime example of a oneshot that can't become a series

you revealed the joke, that's it, you can't do it again because it's lost the impact

the premise solely relies on this 1 joke, it can't go anywhere

You never know, there's creators like Kano Yasuhiro who seem to exclusively make series about gimmicks that you'd think would only be good for a oneshot.

Disturbingly, it's really not as uncommon a concept as you'd think, I know of two full series off the top of my head and I feel like there's another I'm forgetting.

Tamura should come back with a romcom. Battle stuff really isn't his strongest suit (sans the tissue arc) but stuff like the Hero Show and Field Trip arcs really show him off at what he's best at.

I also think a comedy series with a young cast might be really good. He was great at writing kids in Beelzebub.
