It's hard to go past the main group of Hunter. Then thought about 'that pick-up team that stormed the palace'. After that, I couldn't not select them as the best HxH group. The group also includes the chimera's ants Meleoron and Ikalgo.

Storming the palace (111-2) is my fave HxH moment so that helps.

And I think Dorohedoro anime was just announced... so it semi-count? Depends how many chapters it will adapt.

Ah yea I actually forgot about the anime only thing there for a second, because of that announcement (should've snuck some more in). En's group is hard to dislike as a seemingly dysfunctional ensemble who are actually bound together like real family.

Ah, speak of the devil. Expected Valhalla to have them. Shame I put them so low, but I degraded them a bit if only because they’re less of a solid “group” than my other picks. Still, never get tired of their interactions and dynamic. @Valhalla777

The Abyss trio is also a good one (though I wouldn’t pick them myself).

Never really got into the SnK survey corps as a group, as far as I watched but it’s likely I just never got to the point where they really come together as a team... some characters were individually more enjoyable than others for me I guess.

Yep. The SC as an instutition, from when Eren used to dream about them as humanity saviors, is a'ight. But the SC as a specific small pack that goes thru some hardcore situations later on, and how they bond together simply due to sharing ideals and goals... you see not only some badasses individuals of very different types (Levi; Hange) but some outstanding coordinated group actions #tardspeech

The Shichibukai is interesting because of their unique position as a group of active pirates pardoned by the government to balance out the status quo between them and the Yonkou.
The hype surrounding the shichibukai, from the start of the series with the appearance of Mihawk, has always been fantastic. And the fact that Buggy was able to become a Shichibukai definitely raises them in the ranks for me (fuck Buggy haters, he’s the best).
What they lack is the actual, er, “being a group”, per se. They’re more of a ‘grouping’ than a group, which is why I discarded them early on when making my list. (And the current line-up includes Weevil, who just has too stupid a design.)
Still, One Piece represent! Thanks Emperion!

I’ve rewatched a lot of this series when making all these lists in different categories, and finally got to include it on one because I feel that’s the show’s absolute strongest point; the main group/cast is so well written together. I could watch these guys do nothing and still be entertained. @Elusia

“Jin, Mugen & Fuu” for me. They’re definitely a valid group, with much more caring, affection, rivalry and hilarious in-fighting, as well as discord, than many of the ones who are actually labeled as groups so far.

Yeah, thinking back on it - it's possible that I accidentality [not accidentally] am basing how much I love them on how they were in the manga.

I know it's an anime listings - but I read the manga [yet again] quite recently, and it's entirely possible that this has skewed my perceptions on how they were in the anime.

Though, I don't recall them being bad in the anime - and they are a fucking cool biker gang...
