For example, what about characters who play off against each other?

I wouldn't pick them for my list, but what about Naruto and Sasuke?
Or a better one, Light and L?

I guess that this kind of 'pair' isn't really valid - but if so, it makes it far easier for me to make a good list of 10

As long as they co-exist at some point they would be eligible
