kindly re-read my post
which means the next issue will have work by so many notable mangakas
Mashima, Toriyama (DBS), Kishimoto (Boruto), Takahashi (YGO)
and the biggest legend of them all Yuuki Nakashima (Kirihoushi never forget)
also, this post issa joke, you're focusing on the set up and missing the punchline

Lol why Mashima crawls into V Jump? He could have publish it in any Kodansha magazine and they would have let him

Why you gotta say "crawls" like Mashima is some kind of roach?

same with Psyren which either won or was a runner up for countless surveys for "which manga you want to get anime adaptation" so we know it had the fan base willing to vote for it, and was ended too soon too
I remember 2 or 3 "which manga you want to get anime adaptation" in which he was one but it where after he ended.
Not sure, but it was one with Oresama teacher winning and the other was a more recent

next issue of V Jump will republish Mashima Dragon Quest oneshot

Still funny that a new YGO series is coming, and V-arc still ongoing and Vrains didn't have a manga(I know that 5D end after the next anime began, but I remember that they were both manga adaptation ongoing).

So, I discussed this with an admin (xi0 more specifically) and as it turns out, the 24 hour waiting period rule DOES also apply to the official (mangaplus, etc) releases. I apologize for spreading misinformation.

Again though, even when the 24 hour rule no longer applies, you are still required to use spoiler tags when discussing details about new chapters. I know it's inconvenient and it wasn't enforced for the longest time, but rules are rules.
I know rules and rules and I will drop this after this message, just wanted to give my two cents. I also appreciate you moderating this thread, btw, is not really a big complaint.

I understand the point and even agree that off-topic specific series discussion can be... too much. However, I feel like for a thread on a magazine, reacting to the chapters of the current issue as they come out, in a official capacity, even, shouldn't have to be subject to the same guideline. Make it necessary to spoil or something, but I don't think, for instance, the comments about the last chapter of Hinomaru should be something we need to wait 24h to post. If it goes way too long about a single chapter of a single series, it should be stopped, sure, but maybe there's a middle-ground here?

To quote a recent Discord message, Writing in the wrong channel probably is less annoying to read than channel policing.

You have been quite polite so far though which is good.

If I just started deleting posts that broke the rules, it can lead to people being automatically temp-banned, which is why I'm trying to avoid that.

I don't want people getting banned unless it's absolutely necessary. Hopefully people understand.

Mist Gear Blast from the Akaboshi, Stealth Symphony and Over Time mangaka axed by Jump+ after just 18 biweekly chapters and horrible sales.

Vol 2 to release in September.

Yoichi Amano is slowly becoming the most surprising failure in Jump artist history. Like he’s got stuff going on, but no-one actually seems to want it

Yoichi Amano doesn't give up. The guy must be the mangaka with the most canceled work from the jump and yet he doesn't give up.
What happened to ana no mujina?
It was his best and most enduring work to date.

Kamio latest chapter (kinda previous one too) was quite disappointing. I had hopes it can get better and go in the right direction, but really last chapter was so messed. It's a shame, considering it will be like 2 more years until he is back again...

Seeing the current discussion, can't remember when was the last time so many series looking like they can be cancelled right now. Saiyuki, Kamio, Beast Children, Futari, all of them seems like they can end in 2-3 weeks. And with Shokugeki and Hinomaru out, that's easily 6 free spots. Not counting TSS and its a bit early to judge it. Yet it's really unlikely that all of them end right now and get replaced. Probably like max 4 new series, meaning maybe 2 can survive for one more round. In the past we had couple of bad series surviving more because of that: having even more bad series. Considering how hard it to actually turn the table and use the chance to get established, it kinda feels pointless and unfair to other series. But, oh well. It could be all because Jump didn't expect that many series to fail and didn't start preparations for that many new series, so can't fully blame them for leaving some series for a bit more time if that's the case.

Remember the times, when Jump was so packed with big established series, that the new series had very little chance to shine and were mostly competing with each other. But once the bigger series started to end, things got better for the new series. But still can't remember the last time, when there were practically 6 free slots.

hmmmm....

would you feel it was rushed if it ended with part one without a time skip?
personally I feel that the entire second half is unnecessary & while entertaining is no where near as good as the highschool arc
specially when it comes to exploring characters motives, also despite Ushio moving up as a pro the world started to feel smaller imo
Tbh no, since Part I ended on a very high note with most of the main cast’s arcs coming to an end, a nice epilogue chapter to just a glimpse of the pro arc would of been enough, maybe Part II could of being moved to different magazine, kinda like New Prince of Tennis if it was possible
Sure Part I is still superior to Part II in some aspects, put the latter still managed to bring many more to table, specifically bringing us the best Jump romance sub plot in a long time, can really call many other mangas from Jump achieving this
and regarding why did Soma get the GIGA treatment instead of Sumo
they put main magazine stuff to GIGA so it would sell, Hinomaru have proved time and time again it can't move merch, with weak manga sales & weak anime sales, meanwhile Soma have lost some of its following but it still sell better
Yes I am well aware that in spite of its decline Soma still outsold Sumo, that it was most likely just a business move, but hey the fact that they allowed Sumo to live this long and letting it progress naturally is stil something, wouldn’t of being out of the realm of possibility to just let it have some GIGA action too, was just saying this since I just wished the last chapter was more fullfiling

and about the Kodansha comment, are suggesting that Shueisha was bad to Hinomaru Zumou?
the first chapter of Hinomaru ranked first in ToC, the first manga to do so since Eyeshield
during its 5 years run it was in the top with titles with the most amount of color pages every year

they kept it in the magazine for 28 volumes despite its sales which i believe makes it the longest running title with weak sales
for comparison series with similar sales like it (30k club)
Sesuji wo Pin lasted 10 volumes
Samon-kun lasted 10 volumes
Isobe Isobee lasted 16 volumes
even Psyren which sold better only lasted 16 volumes

lastly, Kodansha isn't innocent of rushing an MMA manga with weak sales out of the magazine
anyone remember this?

there's no reason to assume they would treat Hinomaru Sumo any differently
I admit I only said it given Kodansha’s latest trend to pull authors from other magazines, in particular I was thinking how Nakaba Suzuki, who I know isn’t Part of this recent trend, also wrote a sports manga in Jump with a moderate run before moving between magazines before landing in WSM and making Nanatsu. Given how Magazine is filled with rom coms and such currently and how Kawada managed to pull one of the best shonen Jump romances maybe he pul something, dunno just a maybe, if he wants to comeback to Jump with a story he is confident enough, whatever it is about then let’s go I’ve got no problem with that, tho I admit I still think a historical seinen from being will absolutely rock

You raise up good points, I was just expressing my personal thoughts, I am still grateful to Jump for letting it stay for as long as it did

Furudate is great, giving a congrats to HZ. I had a feeling Furudate would be the only one
What was Kawada's comment?
"Thanks to your support we were able to continue the series for 5 years! Thank you all so much!"

Honestly, given how good his artwork is I'm surprised he hasn't found more success yet. I know artwork doesn't equal success but I just think it would have been a lot better for him had he paired up with a writer. I'm sure an editor or two may have suggested the same and now think Yoichi is just being stubborn...

but stealth symphony was another person who wrote, which was the Narita (author of durarara), the amano only drawing, and even then was a failure.

and i think Mist Gear Blast is an adaptation of a mobile game so he might didn't write that too

Lol why Mashima crawls into V Jump? He could have publish it in any Kodansha magazine and they would have let him
he did that for Dragon Quest 11 on the Switch guidebook, but since Shueisha is the publisher for it, they got the rights for everything in it, they put it on Jump Plus a while ago too

Still funny that a new YGO series is coming, and V-arc still ongoing and Vrains didn't have a manga(I know that 5D end after the next anime began, but I remember that they were both manga adaptation ongoing).
Arc V ended, the current YGO manga is supposed to be realistic and teach kids how to play the game and build a deck by the actual rules

What happened to ana no mujina?
he put that on hiatus voluntarily

Ooops! I stand corrected. Maybe Yoichi Amano is just unlucky...
