Suggestion for the next poll: how much did you get freak out when you saw that MangaHelpers was down?

I didn't even know that. lol

Didn't expect MHA getting a new cover already since I thought issue 42 cover was for the anime.

I was totally sure MHA was getting a cover for the movie in December, but with a cover now I'm doubtful. Anyways, I'll still betting on MHA getting 2020 Issue 2 or 3 cover.

My bet for the remaining of year:
-Jujutsu and Act-age being ignored by Nakano until 2020 Spring as minimum
-Covers 47-52 to:
-WNL
-Black Clover
-Dr.Stone
-New serialization round of 3 titles

Then 2020 Issues 1-3 to:
-MHA
-Haikyuu
-Neverland/Chainsawman

Would Jump dedicate another LCP to WNL? It's most likely ending around January, and unlike TPN isn't exactly a sales and media front-runner that justifies the extra exposure.

Also, I highly doubt TPN will be getting another cover after Issue 45. It's already ending very soon.

MHA will get a cover for the movie, since they mentioned the popularity poll results will be out on December with a color spread and MHA stopped getting solo color pages with no cover for a very long time now

A theory I have as to why there's been not many LCP for the post-2017 series is simply that it's not seen as necessary for promotion. Nakano said in an interview that a large amount of new readers who do digital don't follow the magazine itself, just buy the volumes on release day, so it's less nessecery to promote everything currently running in Jump itself. Hence, the series which are representative of Jump as a brand through things like anime and merchandise are the ones which get covers, because it "sells" the idea of Jump itself as a meta-franchise.

Of course, Boichi and Posaka's insane work ethic probably helps.

I don't know if it matter at this point but KnY third volume sold 11, 639 copies, a little bit more than volume 2.

admittedly this is not the normal looking graph, with newser volumes having larger sales than previous one, I mostly attribute it to race conditions(due to sudden influx), the 1-10 boxset (which is only counted as a single sku), and actual copies distributed (as in whether the store is tracked by oricon or not)

How did Beast Children do this week? Any bump in sales from Japan killing it in the Rugby World Cup?

EDIT: Thanks revo, for answering my question in the Discord. If anyone else is interested, none of the three newbies cracked the Top 500 this week. Including Beast Children, a manga whose sport is not only in season, but also currently drilling up a lot of excitement because Japan keeps winning at said sport. Oh boy...

I'm not too surprised 2.5D Seduction is doing well since it always seems to be number 1 on Jump+ for a considerable amount of time each time a chapter releases. I do love seeing all of the comments each chapter from Japanese readers talking about how Ikezawa finally has a good series. He definitely seems like a pretty controversial author. Half seem happy he's doing well, while others just point out past issues he's had.
what for issues did he had :o ?

Shonen Jump Issue 46 Cover: My Hero Academia
Now, this I wasn't expecting since Horikoshi hasn't been doing a lot of CPs and he was only getting a few covers. Still glad, anyway.

Look like 8th volume of Kimetsu no Yaiba sold around 20 000 copies september 29.
20k on a single day. The remaining volumes shouldn't be that far behind. Yeah, that 600k in a single month and top 2 in yearly sales seem more likely than ever.

You have to feel really bad for Kento Terasaka. Dude clearly loves rugby with all his heart, but the series he did about the sport has done so badly that even some surprise success with the actual sport in the World Cup is doing nothing.

In all honesty, reading Beast Children, I genuinely get the impression Terasaka himself wasn't ready for a serialized manga, and Jump only greenlit the series because they thought they could cash in the Rugby World Cup. Hope this failure doesn't convince him to quit, that would really suck.

Based on this data, could you say that the next volume of Kimetsu will surpass Neverland?
