It will be fine. So far Japan has yet to experience sickness explosions like in China, Italy or Spain. Ofc this could be due them trying to keep the numbers low by not testing in the needed amount they should do because they want the Olympics to happen. But so far regular life has not been shut down like it was in Wuhan or now in Italy and such were only the most important infrastructures are open.

Eh, not that hard to solve. Many mangaka already send the the finished chapters to their editor over fax. Do more phone calls and if necessary, place the finished chapters in the hallway in front of the door, leave, and let the editor collect it without making contact.
I was more talking about the editor getting the virus in that case, which in their case is more likely than a mangaka as they will have more contact with other people and also be into a close space on work.
Not everyone lives in Italy (or Western Europe in general) where the government screwed up that bad (tho the Japanese really screwed up Diamond Princess).

Taking in count the overall poll results would actually be Mashle, is the only new series that was able to keep in the top 5 for 5 consecutive chapters while Undead fluctuated a lot after ch1 and close to the bottom until the last 2 chapters.
What exactly implies that anyone here "hates" Kishimoto? We're legitimately just discussing a very high profile failure for Jump and the elements surrounding it.
Although I'm not super surprised, I don't think Yozakura or Yuuna should've been in the red this week. Yuuna always tends to end up there due to not being on MangaPlus and all, but Yozakura's chapter was pretty good last week. Much better than the middle ones that weren't too great. Undead Unluck almost being the top choice was certainly well-deserved. In theory, it should work. But Japan's rigid senpai-kohai social culture/system make it difficult to be a reality. I think it's been mentioned several times in publications that Japan's business sector are stagnating because of this, since not a lot of people in the workplace are willing to come out and honestly give their thoughts to their superiors. Except for Kyoto/Osaka-based companies, I hear.... (Nintendo comes to mind, look at their insane ideas)
That's good for Oda. But I think that doesn't mean much, when OP's quality is just running in place so to speak.

But that was my point: you can quite easily reduce editor mangaka personal face to face contact to a minimum.
