Oh thats awesome, fits definitely the scene, the mood and the manga's overall atmosphere. i'd love if theres any anime adaptation, to pinpoint it like this.

Is Aki not able to tell anyone else the events told to him by the future Devil? I'm wondering if he will tell Denji and Power what he saw. Maybe Makima so she understands why their squad should pull out? Those two specifically being the ones to die makes me suspicious that Makima might have a part to play in their deaths. She demonstrated her lack of tolerance for anyone having an influence on Denji when she killed Reze. But Denji being the one to kill them might be too cruel even for her. If that future comes to pass I don't know how Denji would recover. It wouldn't be a case like with Himeno where he was able to shrug it off, or Beam who was devoted to him and he barely reacted to his death. These are his two best friends and roommates. I'm hoping at least one survives.

My thoughts:

Makima is giving massive sinister vibes this chapter. She says life threatening things so calmly and that's why she's the ultimate bad-ass of this series. Of course they made this political and diplomatic with the countries each holding percentages of the Gun devil though it's cool to see that the two biggest players were the Soviets and the Americans. History is a funny thing lol.

Denji is going to kill Aki and Power? Noooooooooo not them. It probably won't happen though.

Most importantly however......I miss Beam

You think ? it was stated last chap though that the future is "absolutely unavoidable", that said, there might be a solution, aki might find a trick, idk. from a litterature perspective, revealing the future to the readers, might indeed mean things wont happen, or wont happen the same way the predictions say, othrwise all the emotions of the scene of their deaths to come would be ruined, basically its spoiling the readers. But i think there will be at least a loss, likely aki, but i dont exclude the possibility aki find a way to save Power. But again i cant see him getting out of this, idk, i feel he has for a long time a deathflag. But again the author maybe got enough guts and will just do it and leaves us in pain lol

Basically. It's a pattern in all mangas that every time a future is revealed to have some shocking truth, it either doesn't happen or some character finds a way to change it. I just finished MHA and the exact same thing happened.

Maybe Aki dies in the upcoming war but I just can't see Denji being corrupted to the point where he kills both of his partners. Unless this a giant trap Makimais setting for them in that case then......damn lol.

Do you not read the series? I know I'm being baited here, but the entire current arc is LITERALLY about just that. From multiple characters, even.

Maybe I get a different impression, but power was laying on denji, and he cared little about her or her issues. Aki is too in his head and reserved that he cant connect with the others. There's just his wedge and thing between them, and perhaps its the writing, that makes it where no one is connected with each other or has any sort of chemistry, you know?

It is a lot more sinister than that she ended up forcing him to unconsciously use his ability. By the time he realized anything it was already too late. Seems Makima can control devils and humans to a degree, and it seems to come undone when in familiar places and situations. That said, since Makima could form contracts it seems she is a devil of sorts, at the very least we know she can take on a primal evil tier. I have to wonder what her contract offers as power since she has so many different types. On that note, I was under the impression she had her own contracts with other devils so she's a lot more confusing since I've not heard of a devil contracting other devils for their power. I suppose this is why the other nations may want her dead, she probably has a grasp over Japan's government with her power.

Aki in chapter 3 said "I owe Makima my life" and in this chapter he doesn't remember...
I do believe she has some type Manipulation Devil...but a human contract with a human?
Or she's a devil devil....I am so confused LMAO
One thing is certain, she's bad news,,,and I think Aki's gruesome death is via Makima. Maybe she manipulates Denji into killing him.
Damn, idk anymore. I am so invested in her character though.

So Uchiha Makima is just going around controlling people with genjutsu? Aki making a contract with her is an interesting development. Maybe the future isn't set in stone after all. But now that Angel has his memories back I wonder if Makima will just discard him since he has no arms or if she'll put him back under her control.

This theory has been floating around a while, particularly the view of karma. That said, I want to add to the theory certain details:

A) Makima cannot kill a minor this is why she had to resort to using Angel (or potentially Aki) to deal with Reze. A minor cannot be placed under death row, hence Makima could not act against her, as would be the law. Incidentally, her powers might also be limited against minors, hence her treatment of Denji rather than just ordering or manipulating his memories.

B) Makima's manipulation is likely an interpretation of "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you." If you look at the panel with Angel she had to talk to him and have him respond. It is also possible that the second condition is that the person she is manipulating must carry guilt, which all devils do inherently and interestingly enough was also carried by that devil hunter sacrificed by Santa Claus to the darkness devil -- Makima was able to manipulate him since he had guilt if you recall due to how Santa Claus' own conditions for a perfect puppet (and again he was an adult).

I liked that theory, specially because of the blindfolds part. Makes sense. The connection to the large bullets as well. But i does seem odd to have a Judgment Devil. Maybe a Lawyer Devil, since nobody likes they are evil as well

seems angel tried to kill Makima and failed. seemingly Us consider Makima as a threat and wants to kill her, and seems they use gun devil to kill her. Gun devil seems to be on its way.
