Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

Shanks v Mihawk
Hand to hand fighters > Swordsmen
Zoro > Luffy
Zoro v Sanji
Is Smoker a top 30 character?
Mihawk's rank within the story
Law having CoC currently.
Katakuri > Kaido/Luffy/Etc.

If you wish to continue any of these discussion and remove it from the list, you will need to provide manga material as proof. If there's also anything you think we've covered numerous times, let me know and I'll update the list.

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

I never said characters aren't getting stronger. Your claims aren't based on canon events, they're based on your interpretations of canon events.

They aren't facts, they're subjective, and we have tried debating those interpretations in the past, we know how it goes, so don't try to force your interpretation on me claiming that anything you say is factual while everything else is headcannon.

I think you and I actually had a disagreement when talking about Mihawk's strength. If I remember correctly you don't even rate Mihawk as the strongest, so I'm pretty sure you wouldn't say Zoro would become the strongest because of Mihawk, either.

I think you and I actually had a disagreement when talking about Mihawk's strength. If I remember correctly you don't even rate Mihawk as the strongest, so I'm pretty sure you wouldn't say Zoro would become the strongest because of Mihawk, either.

No I don't. I said to @Pirate Queen that I believe Zoro EOS will be stronger than Sanji. I don't have Zoro as a top 5 character EOS in terms of power.

Nah, you said it, but mods delete it during scuffle of debates. I remember you were debating Pirate Queen over it on saying Zoro must be strongest given being WSS, when nothing states he must be stronger than everyone as it's more on those who are true swordsmen, but not other type of fighters. There be stronger people than him even in EOS.

So Water 7 to Enies Lobby is proof that they can get stronger to defeat foes who they couldn't beat before, to now doing it. That isn't only arc to do that and Wano can be like that too.

Well I have people who agree with me in saying I never said it. When have I ever pushed it. I have said multiple times that I don't think Zoro will be top 5 EOS. If you continue to make assumptions about me without proof, I'll just block you.

I know that you haven't precisely because I remember you rate Mihawk lower than I do, and so you logically should also rate Zoro EOS lower.

That was related too. I remember also Pirate Queen saying you can't use goal as why Zoro be stronger as Sanji is not swordsmen, so he can be stronger or even equal to him as it won't hurt his character with Sanji.

It should be pretty simple, either Smoker is in your top 30 and you leave some characters out or he isn't. It's sly to try and shove characters in like this.

So to explain, ties are allowed BUT, there can only be 30 characters on your list. Cool? You'll have until this time tomorrow. Otherwise there's not even any point in debating the matter.
