High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku: ... I'm honestly surprised they didn't produce an acceptance letter for the cat.
I'm kinda meh on it so far. It doesn't really make me laugh, but it's not actively annoying either. We'll see where it goes.
MHA: And then
Deku went SuperSaiyan. *sigh* Seriously? This was one of the series that actually made an effort to keep the power-ups believable.
OP: This is going to take another year, isn't it? I should probably just stop following it again and binch-read it once the arc is over. Much more enjoyable that way.
Phantom Seer: Well, that explains the title, I guess. Though I still don't really get why they opted to make the MC a doormat.
Dr Stone: That arial view was so freaking cool.
Black Clover: Woohoo, mystery! And exposition. And video game levels. But mostly a new arc.
Me & Robocco: Ok, some of the subversions are funny. But these running jokes are nearing their expiration date already, so it's gonna be pretty hard to keep it up. (Also, 'weird creature does weird things while the other characters make shocked faces in the corner' is really becoming a trend, isn't it?)
UU is also starting a new arc. Nice.
Ayakashi Triangle: He suffered that curse because of you, you know? Stop nagging and just let him look already, it's nothing he hasn't seen in the mirror.
Burn the Witch is finally showing some heart. Though really, this doesn't feel like a short story
at all.
Mashle's fights are starting to bore me. It doesn't help that I didn't like any of the characters in this chapter.
Cop & Dolphin: I appreciated the joke in the beginning, but Arlong #2 feels pretty generic. And how did the cheerleading squad even get there?
Magu-chan: The first moderately intelligent character in the series. That's an improvement, I guess.
WNL: It's all very cute, but I really wish the series would just end already.
AB: I like Geralt's philosophy. It's why I only keep cats. (Btw, didn't this series have a 'save the world' plot somewhere..?)
Yozakura: I've really grown to appreciate this one. It has a plot (sort of) and the brother is actually undergoing character development, but without sacrificing the comedic aspects in the proces. I hope it stays around for a bit longer.
Moriking: This one is dead, isn't it? I'm not going to miss it much.
Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku: Massive ending flags on this one.
SxF: It's nice, but it's rare to see a mission span three or four chapters. I rather prefer the self-contained adventures.
Taking up the discussion of how much the end of certain manga is missing, I would like to remind you that 10-20 volumes at the end are more than enough to narrate or finish a story, if the author takes the right time. Just think of the recent case of Kimetsu, or even Dragon Ball.
Let's realize that in 10 volumes we went from Goku fighting Tenshinan to Goku fighting Vegeta.
So I would say that the current state is not absurd to think that 2-3 years is a short time to finish some of the top manga in the magazine.
Isn't Dragon Ball kind of notorious for not having a proper ending?
And yeah, 2-3 years is plenty to wrap up a series, if the author wants it. But what makes you think the writers of MHA/BC/Dr Stone would want to stop?
