Well, the black swordsman arc does set the scene for the GOAT.

Those FT arcs selected were fantastic. Phantom Lord is the best imo (obv coz I voted it), guild vs guild with relatively good fights all round, and then the baller ending with chapter 65.

For a while I couldn't choose between the Fire Tribe and Water Tribe arcs for Yona. I ended up going with the latter because of that Hak and Soo-Won encounter which was the highest high-point in both.

Forgot about Vagabond, I liked the Hozoin arc the most. Then Yoshioka or the Farm arc.

Thought Magnostadt would go higher.

Hozoin is one of the arcs that really made Vagabond Vagabond, but the prolonged tragedy of the arc I picked and seeing just how much of their flawed life style they would give up all for the sake of person they cared about puts it ahead for me.

Snake guy was a bit of a drag, but the slug lord mini arc is underrated, especially considering slug man is the only time the behelit and what the god hand said was directly contradicted and resisted.

Absolutely. I was Musashi's age when he was in prison and had his realization after the Yoshioka arc and that just hit different for me personally. I would have put it very high if I did not decide to punish hiatus series for their hiatus-ness out of pettyness.

One of the best anime adaptions of the source material. It upsets me when they change the personality of the characters in the anime, but in the case of the 12 Kingdoms anime (Sugimoto and Shouko), it worked very well. Youko is one of the best female protagonists and she looks pretty badass fighting with a sword in her school uniform. It's been many years, but I hope we get an anime adaption of the latter novels.

I watched the anime before reading the novels. Another excellent anime adaption. Loved the Isaac and Miria cameo at the end of this arc in the anime. If Spy x Family ever gets animated, I hope they'll get the director of Durarara and Baccano to work on it.

I was planning to watch Durarara soon and that post makes me want to do it ASAP .

It was one of the most popular animes in the early 2010s. I once recommended it and Baccano to someone in the past but they didn't like them, but I hope you enjoy it.

I included it because of it's importance in regards to another of my choices, and that there's some sentimental value as the first bit of Berserk I experienced and was immediately captivated by. It definitely isn't Berserk's best arc but it was worth a shout in my top 10 due to my love for the series.

Yea both arcs have their own meaning on his journey, musashi was still in discovery mode in hozoin. By the end he'd discovered how he can make progress by taking control, which opens him up to countless possibilities and really spurs him on to see what the limits of his unknown potential are (in my view). When he hits your arc (I think I know the one) it's like responsibility for your sacrifices and choices hits him lol. Also it's a great manga coz you think about yourself as much as the characters at times.

Fuck, I knew I was missing something when I made my Top 10 list. I completely forgot Shingeki no Kyojin, which has some arcs worthy of being in my Top 10 material list

Yeah, the Castle Infiltration Arc (and the first 100 chapters pretty much) is what made me fall in love with the series. Up to chapter 180 it was a pretty good read, after that it went downhill with the Defense of Liones Arc, then it seemingly recovered some of its charm with the following arcs and then chapter 280 and beyond came and it became awful for me.

Glad to see that someone else voted for the Floor of Death Arc of Tower of God. It was such an amazing arc. A lot of info dumps and a perfect mix of action, comedy, seriousness and tension. We also saw two of the top dogs of the verse making their movements. Best arc of ToG for me.

The more I see the diversity of arcs in the list, the more I think I missed some really amazing arcs. I particularly forgot to include arcs from Shingeki no Kyojin and Kingdom, which saddens me a little since I believe some of them are worthy of being on my Top 10 Well, let's see how this goes.
