Honestly, I don't take issue with sanji's reactions to women. Much like I don't mind luffy being dumb or zoro getting constantly lost. My main issue with current developments is that sanji has been immediately placed in a situation where he probably can't be useful. So so far sanji's record in wano is not defeating page one, surviving a bitch slap from king because of a raid suit and now an impossible situation for him. Sanji is continuing a perfect streak of his strength being worth shit against a yonko crew...

Damn that was harsh. Probably more frustration than anything, which I understand.

I love the character gags. But they have their limits. Nami charging everyone for everything is probably the only gag that never gets tired. But FI with Sanji losing all his blood was funny but exaggerated when he did it twice I believe.

Sanji vs Woman trope is ok. But it’s annoying when Sanji hasn’t been shown as a fighter or much fighting spirit. He’s very much a strong lecherous cook.

Sanji vs Page One was off screened we don't know what happened and even if he beat page one , Page One still would have shown up in chapter 978 regardless. He's an Ancient Zoan...... And against the feat was saving momonuske, King sending Sanji flying is what's suppose to happen especially after Luffy got his ass whooped for hours by Katakuri and a whole lot of bullshit had to happen for luffy to win. Sanji's power lies in the Tobi Roppo range which is fine and where he should be tbh those characters are pretty strong. In the end it's a Yonko Crew... and the Strawhats aren't a Yonko Crew in terms of power and probably won't be until the end.

Those gags are usually just single panel moments too, which is why they work. Sanji's gags are tired is because they not only follow the same pattern, they usually go beyond one chapter since he's distracted or out of commission for however long.

I really, really want that Sanji takes on Black Maria this time and not having his battle taken over like it was against Kalifa. After all, Sanji only said that he would never kick a woman, right? As far as I recall, I don't remember Sanji said that he would never harm a woman. If punch is also out of commission since Sanji as a cook needs to keep his hands clean, who's to say Sanji can't just poison Black Maria? After all, spiders are kinda famous for their venom, which I think is the most fitting way to defeat Black Maria. Time for some poisoned soba!

Just know Whoever Sanji overcomes Is likely his fight for the arc. If Sanji does defeat Black Maria, he probably won't defeat anyone else after that. Oda has never given sanji multiple fights in an arc.

Sea Train is top 3 Sanji moments imo. I remember 1st time I saw Sanji running through government forces, I was highly impressed. Even with his while infiltration spy like thing he had going..

Sanji can’t fight woman, that’s not going to change & I don’t fault him. The lover boy gentleman thing has gotten worst! Headpalm...So he’s definitely switching out from this fight. I say he tag teams a All Star with another SH. Jimbei could have gotten an All star, but I think Oda wants to give Sanji some shine again. He’s going to face an all star for sure.

I don't see why Sanji can't get more than one fight here, especially when the crew will be challenged in the future. He might not have Black Maria as his arc boss, but I can see him getting someone stronger. Black Maria can't be it unless she's used for Sanji getting over not hurting women.

If this is going to be his only meaningful fight of the arc, I will appreciate it if Oda used it as character development in Sanji fighting women. If that's not going to be the case, I hope he moves him on to one of the All Stars and stops wasting time with an opponent he doesn't intend to have him defeat. That would be my only complaint.

One of the things about the Straw Hats is that even when they're tired or hurt, they'll dig deep within themselves to pull out a victory, like how Usopp beat the mole lady or the bat guy despite taking damage after damage. Sanji will have to find energy to fight again if he's to keep up with Luffy and enemies that they'll come across.

I wouldn't mind, but also it'd honestly hurt Sanji's character if he is willing to hurt women. He at least stands out by being probably the only one who wouldn't harm a woman, even if she is an enemy.

Maybe he'll off-panel the fight.

My thoughts exactly. Jack is going to have time to recover that may be a good set up, for Sanji’s vs a weakened all star...or He fights P1 again & Nami & Usopp jump Ulti...

My whole thing is....Do we rlly want to see Sanji vs Black Moriah? If so, a substitute has to be made. Sanji deserves a good fight, Even if he attacks Black Moria he seriously deserves a fight without the shenanigans & heavy gags

Now that you mention it, there's a possibility that whoever Big Mom tossed far away to Sanji's location will accidentally knock Black Maria out of commission.

It been his character since his debut, so nothing really surprising and nor should it be annoying just as much Luffy with his gags of meat and causing situation without a plan and accepting help of an former enemy like Drake despite what he did to Otama and her village along with Zoro getting lost which can be tedious as well in not helping in doing plans that he should at times himself. Oda do gags on everyone, it will be always like that and honestly we got to accept that, but doing that isn't anything about how he 'feels' about a character.

In fact route this is going feels like Enies Lobby where Sanji got preoccupied with a female, but then went onto facing stronger enemy after that as we all know Maria isn't really on his level and he going to face King or Queen afterwards (More so on the King) and then later reach the roof to join the fight against Kaido.

People forget This guy was out like 10 chapters while everyone was having their fights......Whenever you see Sanji being compromised in a major arc like this just remember this panel..... and the end result. Sometimes you just gotta trust the process tbh.

Eh, not so inclined to see sanji vs king after seeing sanji's performance in third floor here (beaten by two gifters), but maybe sanji (along with some other help) vs queen

Sanji is only one to get King in the skies, he has to be him as Macro be busy helping against 2 Yonkos. Looking at fights for YC lvl and Yonkos it be teams, which I don't mind as we see Zoro also not ready to handle anyone on his own since Apoo was still active from one of his best attacks. Though they could do most damage on who they face on YC lvl opponents.

Also got a question, do you guys think there is a connection to the flames of King to the flames of Sanji? Do you think they unlock similar style to conjure element power through natural means instead something else or more too it?

King's flames appear to be part of his unique species' physiology.

Sanji's flames, until we are told otherwise, were explained back in the day as just a human technique. They're probably not different from Luffy's, Kin'emon's and Zoro's flames.

Hard to say as we need to know more about his race to say if they all can do it or is it just same case like Sanji he developed it in similar manner to use fire. Also when can Zoro do flames? Never done that before and only done it that Little Garden arc due to only cause fire was made by something else, but never use anything fire since.

I say that about King because he never puts out his flames. It's not that he ignites himself for combat like Sanji; flames are always coming out of his back, and we actually have not seen him use them in a fight so far, so they seem to be something unique to him and unrelated to Diable Jambe.
