Pouf was my favorite Ant. When I first read the arc I didn't care much about him, but he grew on me as I reread it. Pretty entertaining character, and threatening too.

From the first time appeared in the manga, Silva made a strong impression on me. Really like his character design and he's one of those characters I want to see more of. I'm also very curious about the relationship between Silva and mother Zoldyck (I ship them)

Forgot about Gotoh and Hanzo. I really liked them and would've given them an HM.

Does it count as shipping when they are officially a couple .

Very scary at first... Getting turned into a Chimera Ant definitely helped her a lot, as well as being less obsessed with Gon lol.​

Agreed! I enjoyed Palm's abilities and character design a lot more as an ant.

Our second Royal Guard. Didn't like him much at first, but his devotion to Meruem is undeniable. Smart and cunning, and had some good development.​

Theta is such an awesome char., she has really some guts to confront M. Psycho, this girl is one of the best character introduced this arc, if not the best. Again the 1st time she was introduced she looked like the cold guard, i was like "im sure shes as "evil as tserrid", but i was so wrong, oh really wrong, she knew who she has to deal with from the start and is trying to get rid of him all by herself. I love her personality, her determination, her kindness, she deserves to be my 9pointers (please toga, be nice with her )

Knov's breakdown was legendary! We often take characters' bravery and mental stability for granted, but Knov really brought home how dangerous and truly terrifying their opponents were even to someone as powerful as him. Any normal person would be scared shitless in his position, yet he successfully carried out his SOLO MISSION and returned to the scene to help his friends during the blitz although it nearly killed him. To me, this added a whole new perspective to the series as I thought he showed immense bravery in a different way to our main heroes. Knov's a star.

Couldn't agree more. Tbh, the first time I read the manga (in my late teens), I thought Knov was just an annoying cool guy stereotype. Then, when I saw his breakdown, I was like

"Ha! Now you feel stupid for making fun of Killua (and Gon), now you understand what they went through!! YoU wEaK tHeY StRoNK..."

However, as I reread the series multiple times, in time I started realizing what the guy really went through and what it all meant. Eventually, he became a true hero in my eyes, mostly for the reasons @Miss Pikachu explained.
Also, I found it outstanding how he could still retain enough mental composure to successfully use his ability, despite being under crushing stress. During his infiltration, he even successfully got rid of an ant that spotted him, displaying some high levels of quick thinking and a badass form of his ability.

I agree they are dangerous. Tho, I don't expect hybrids based on normal humans to be as strong as her. I mean, despite not being a fighter Palm was still a hunter and must have had some strength and lots of aura compared to normal humes, thus how strong she became as an ant.

As for Syalnork, I did like that he was the walking encyclopedia of the troupe, with a laid back demeanor and a really cool ability. But behind his smile, he was one of the coldest members, way up there with Chrollo and Feitan, 0 empathy.
So when he died, I didn't really feel for him that much...
Also, I really love that he's a pro hunter with a licence and everything, despite being a thief xD

Up to debate. It's a spatial ability. Normally it should ignore durability I think. But will we ever know with Knov in this state? As we see more spatial abilities maybe we'll know.

Yeah, but the point of the experiment was to create super soldiers. Only the ones with enough talent and mental fortitude could survive as Pitou said. Surviving means that you have good potential and mental strength. You get CA physical abilities enhancement + a Nen ability fitting you perfectly because of Pouf's Spiritual Message which was used to develop the Hatsu of plenty of Squadron Leaders which reminds me that we'll never know what Monroe Walk does. You need time to learn to use your ability after that and control Nen too but it's a big power up. She became able to fight Killua and could be even stronger while she wasn't even able to hit him at close range before.

I don't remember them confirming that he uses "Spiritual Message" along with the cocoons but we know he was the one behind the development of their abilities. Considering how SM works I think it makes sense since it allows him to analyze someone's personality etc.

No. But it's most likely Spiritual Massage to examine their minds, and the cocoon to implement the changes.

It ignores durability only when the entire thing is covered by the portal. Like for example:

You can't cut Meruem's head with a guillotine.
You can open a trapdoor under the floor Meruem's standing on.

Scream does the former, his normal portals does the later. A guillotine has force that it uses to cut, a trapdoor let's anything that can fit pass through.

Human Palm is kinda underrated. She was crazy, no denying that, but when it comes to her job, her resolve was obvious. For the sake of her mission, she even went as far as to sleep with that pig Bizef (in the manga at least there are "hints" implying that it happened). Poor girl. Not to mention being ready to take her own life had she been discovered.

1. Kura uses seringe on meleoron to take his ability
2. Gives it to Morel who has monstrous lungs (1 time use)
3. Morel takes Knov with him
4. Scream+God's accomplice

I know, Palm's own boost as an Enhancer was ignored when I posted this. But Palm didn't have a problem to use it right, she just wasn't the fighter type. The operation turned her into a fighter type with a fitting Hatsu. Regardless of their Nen type anyone surviving would get that. Her Clairvoyance ability also got better.

Yes if you are a Nen User you should be better than the ones who weren't initially, it should take less time to learn your new abilities too since it's relative. But what I wanted to highlight was the fact that Pouf can grant people excellent abilities with such a method, and very quickly. The survivors, regardless of their skills and Nen mastery are going to have extremely good abilities and know how to use them immediately after hatching. Imagine if Pouf was in the current arc helping Tserriednich for example. His abilities are really underrated.

The irresponsible father stereotype. You can't dislike him because he's just following his heart looking for adventure, and what we've seen of him he's a genuinely good guy (but selfish). Just as a Hunter, he's obviously very near the top.

One of my favourite ant, good to see he's getting the love he deserves.

On the other hand, I'm glad Ging was not placed too high, as though I don't dislike him, I'm not his biggest fan either. That said, I wanna see more from him in the DC.

I was torn between Ging and Pariston, I didn't want to list both in my rankings and ended up choosing Ging. Although he is not exactly a great father, I think he is perfect for Gon. So in a way, he is a great father .

Probably the character with the most hype in the whole series. Despite his small screentime, he did show that he deserves it. Amazing Nen mastery and a skill which is pretty much as good as a Hatsu. We don't even know his Nen category .

from a pragmatic POV Pouf's ability would probably be better but Kurapika's method is risk free. With Pouf's method most of the bodyguards and maids would die, plus they would be unable to work for at least a day because of the time required to learn the abilities.

Woah buddy, let me do ma boi Phinks some justice. He is the most charismatic and relatable dude among the Spiders, putting a whole range of emotions on display while cracking jokes and being helpful to the crew. Yeah he is a psychopath (like the rest of 'em), yet he also served a touching moment with Gon and Killua after they helped Paku – plus he was super cool with Kalluto. Compared to the other Spiders the only one who might be chiller is Nobunaga.

Would you want to party with Chrollo or Feitan? I think not. Phinks? Heck yeah!
