Guidelines

Characters are to be chosen from any video game.
It'is up to you to define what is "hot". It sn’t just about abs, or pretty faces (though those help). It could also be about presence, charisma, voice if applied, attitude, and that aura that makes a character unforgettable.You’re free to define “hot” however you want, elegant, dangerous, soft, confident, mysterious, … as long as they made you feel something.
Characters from 18+ games are not allowed. Please keep it appropriate.
Honorable mentions are allowed.
If you want to add comments/explanations, I will gladly add them in the countdown.
As long as deadline is not reached, you can change your lists as much as you want.
Please, rank your top following the usual format :

1 - 10 pts
2- 9 pts

F.A.Q.

- Are anime manga characters like Bulma or Nami or Comics/Marvel and such characters, eligible?

There are plenty of games that are adapted from manga/animes, technically they are video game characters, but we just had an anime/manga characters round, I believe if possible, I prefer players to avoid nominating characters coming from original manga/anime medium ( I am aware that sometimes it's hard to tell, like in Pokemon /fate series, I believe game came out 1st). I have accepted last round maybe some characters that were coming potentially from anime adapted from original video games, though.

- I want to join but, I know nothing about video games.

The host knows almost nothing about games, however, she managed to make a list so don't worry if she could do a list, anyone can do ! It's about hotness character round, you don't need to have any game prior knowledge, you only have to pick the ones you like,it can help to no for sure but not a requirement. If you don't know any games, you can check out the popular licenses Wikia ( such as Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Street fighters, League of Legends, Pokemon, etc.) You can check characters in previous mafia games' video games themes to help you :

- Is there any restriction regarding game eligibility?

You can't nominate several times the same character from different games, if you want, for example, to nominate Link from Zelda, just specify the one you want to feature, I will count only one Link. Otherwise, you can nominate any character from any video game, be it an older game or newer, online or consoles, any kind of game works. Though please, nominate only humanoid characters (pokemon, monsters, animals are not eligible, elfs, androids etc are allowed) and avoid nominating a minor character, like an onlooker, like this:

Deadline : September 9th (but I might extend it, and certainly will do if necessary)

With her it's more of an innocent wish, and embracing that is perfectly valid. Would be another thing if it was a trauma or obsession, but she doesn't hesitate to use it when she feels she has to. She's found a good middle ground that works for her, so I definitely respect that

Yes. My point is that during a fight between a hunter and an ant, nen-abilities gave the former some chance to actually do something, and sometimes even win. For example, without his 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva, Netero would not be able to even touch the king. Knuckle's potclean, provided a slim hope to deal with monsters like Youpi, Kiluua could stall him with electricity etc...

And why can't netero divert using frontal attack and give a lethal blow from behind for someone so simple minded as youpi ?

I think u r kinda a bit underestimating his abilities and experience. Among RGs, youpi would have been simplest imo for him to handle.

I think u r kinda a bit underestimating his abilities and experience. Among RGs, youpi would have been simplest imo for him to handle.

The point is that the RG and Meruem can tank Netero's ability with no problem. You could argue that the RG won't be as durable as Meruem, but I think it's only a slight difference.
So a fight against Youpi, for instance, would still be an endurance fight, more or less like against Meruem. The first one who runs out of aura loses, and given the tremendous aura reservoir of the ants, I would say Netero will go out first.

Because of Youpi's bulk, no hit from Netero could be lethal (except maybe 0 hand). Based on how Netero's ability did next to no damage against Meruem and Pitou, it's not far fetched to say it'll be more or less the same for Youpi.

The one destined to rule. The proud King, who came to understand humanity through a small human girl. Growing from a despot who thought he stood above everyone, to an accepting and understanding ruler. He learned to respect his opponents. He learned what it meant to fell in love.

Ultimately, he had a bittersweet ending with his loved one. Perhaps it was tragic, but I also think both him and Komugi were happy in their final moments. Getting a bit teary-eyed here, thinking about it. Easily one of the best moments in the whole manga, and the chapter covering their death was simply amazing. For me it really showed what a great writer Togashi is.

Aaaaanyway, would've liked to see him higher, as he's in my eyes among the top 3 most well-written characters in Hunter x Hunter. Most of the ants got good character development, but his clearly stood out.

This is very spoilery, but for everyone who wants to watch this again, please do take a look.

Lastly, here's some fanart. You can clearly see how many people were moved by them by the amount of great art out there.

And with this, all characters from what many consider the best arc in the manga have appeared. I remember, maybe also because of the many breaks, not enjoying this arc that much when I first read it. Then I reread it later on, and I absolutely loved it. The anime also did a great job adapting it, for the most part. There's just too many epic moments to count, and just as many moving ones. Here's saluting to Togashi for bringing us this arc.

Best character arc in HxH handsdown. His story and romance with Komugi was so darn well written. Thinking about his overall developement gives me chills even to this day. And his final moments bring tears to my eyes. A masterpiece character.

Meruem's development is the best I've ever seen. It was so good it makes you forget what he used to be in the beginning, and then cry for him in the end (I really liked that scene in his last moments where he acknowledged that his guards were the best). Also, as a villain he was pretty good, better than Chrollo or Illumi. But in my opinion, it was also thanks to other characters like Komugi, Netero and the RG that Meruem could shine as brightly as he did.

Both Biscuit and Mereum are the kind of characters that I really enjoy they are there, and I'm grateful that they happened. Not sure if they are my favorites but they surely improved my reading experience.
