Sometimes i wonder about the relevance of the awards, especially since its english/USA leaning, and only people who were in Florida actually had a chance to see the movie here. Should have done like the korean movie did and been able to be streamed.
How many times will people repeat they "should have allowed the movie to be streamed" before realising the western markets matter jack compared to what it'll make through BD sales alone in japan (alongside other meaningful runs like the one the movie is currently having in SK)? They don't care if it harms what they make from the movie in western markets because these earnings are peanuts compared to what the movie will make on BDs alone.

Hell, just opening preorders crashed ufotable's shop for hours.

What's everyone's thoughts on Build King's latest developments? Do you think it's changing things up as a last attempt to gain a fanbase, or is it already dead and rushing into a final arc of sorts?

Dead.

Very, very dead.

I'll personally wait for Vol 1 sales in April but I think its 95% DOA at this point.
Same with Kowloon.

It doesn't really look like this was planned to happen from chapter 1, else they would have mentioned Satan Hills way earlier, like when they explained about Buildon. So it feels more like a show the stuff you wanted to do later do because you got no more time left. Only question is if it dies before ch.10 or on it or after it.

I'm not gonna say it's completely dead yet. I'll wait for the sales of Volume 1, but this definitely feels like a Samurai 8 situation. The only real difference is that this series doesn't really seem to have a small group of super dedicated fanboys. I think this is more an editor thing, like "you need to speed this up a little".

You're basing this on the YouTube views?

Not sure I'd say DOA since it's not even ranked, but I'm hoping it can at least outlast U19 since it's the only sports series running.

I don’t think it’s been cancelled yet. I do think they told him that he has this arc to attract new fans, and if he can’t, then he’s axed.

We really need volume sales before we can say one way or another with absolute certainty, though.

But thank goodness he wasn't named. With all the good I can wish of Kimetsu, the idea that the film is even considered as Oscar-worthy stuff is ridiculous, come on.

I believe they're referring to the film itself as "he". As in "thank goodness it wasn't nominated".
Oh, substituting he for it. It’s something I’ve noticed non-native English speakers tend to do a lot on here.

Never mind then.

Its already dead imo. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the final arc since I can see the series ending with them getting their license.

Not confident in Kowloon? Personally, I didn’t like chapter 1 but it’s slowly improved so who knows. Can’t really gauge the reception right now so it’s a gamble to see how it will perform.

Still think Elusive will last the longest out of the latest batch.

It might not be as clear cut, but the series has gotten very little if any feedback on social media, going off things like watch numbers on trailers and what not. That's...not a good sign.

I'd like to be wrong on Kowloon since I've liked it so far, so lets see. But I am not gonna bet on it.

Haikyu!!! Has been licensed in Argentina by Ivrea Argentina (first Spanish speaking country that licensed this title, usually spokon don’t sell well in this language, so it’s quite surprising)

I’d wait for a final veredict on Kowloon and the entire batch as a whole when their first volumes get released. They could all go either way.
