18 Points Rank 13

Edogawa Conan/Shinichi Kudo from Detective Conan by @GrySun (8) + @Copy Panda (9) + @shinobi (1)

19 Points Rank 12

Kaori Miyazono from Your Lie in April by @SirSamuel016 (10) + @Xadyu (9) + @revo (HM)

"Dedicated to her music while she battled severe health issues, this is something I currently relate to and this event really made me reflect on it and what I'm going through. No matter how bad things can get, it's important to find the strength to try to keep doing what we love, and Kaori embodies that so fucking much. If she doesn't win this I'll shit in everyone's coffee." - SirSam

AND THUS THE TOP COMMENCES

I can't believe I'm seeing the day where I see a good Xadyu pick. @revo where are the points at?

[Copy Panda]

Our teamwork got Conan almost to the top 10 @GrySun

[SirSamuel016]

If she doesn't win this I'll shit in everyone's coffee." - SirSam

Also as per my promise I will now shit in everyone's coffee at some point. Look out

[Copy Panda]

I can't believe I'm seeing the day where I see a good Xadyu pick. @revo where are the points at?

Yah that's right, no points for Rin or Conan, where the points at??

[SirSamuel016]

Yah that's right, no points for Rin or Conan, where the points at??

What's inspirational about Rin though?

Conan would be inspirational if he could grow a foot

Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann by @Elusia (7) + @Hermit (7) + @Valhalla777 (7)

[Demonspeed]

I forgot a lot of things about Shigatsu but I remember finding Kaori annoying. It felt like the author was trying too hard to make me feel bad for her.

[Xadyu]

I can't believe I'm seeing the day where I see a good Xadyu pick. @revo where are the points at?

Must've missed my other picks then.

[desin24]

24 Points Rank 10

Maomao from Kusuriya no Hitorigoto by @Erinyes (9) + @Juvii (10) + @Farfalla (5)

"amazing personality, smart and fun, really impressive character" - Erin

"Very interesting female lead! Raised in a brothel, she learned that beauty is useful but distracting (and unsafe, something many women would relate to - you don't have to be some Afrodite, you just have to not pee standing for that to be true...), so she hides her own for that not to get in the way. That being said, if this was an RPG, she'd be a full mental character... she likes to aid people but will resort to social skills only when needed, she's definitely not a physical type, being a petit thin girl, and she's obsessed with knowledge. Being an apothecary, she's passionate about poisons, and since the series has a historical setting (like Amatsuki), it's amazing to see her using rudimentary science. A manipulative but not abusive character, very refreshing to follow." - Farfalla

" Smart, fun, talented" - Juvii

[SirSamuel016]

Glad I pre-emptively slew your ass

Good one quoting me in the wrong thread

[desin24]

25 Points Rank 9

Guts from Berserk by @Desin (8) + @SirSamuel016 (8) + @Demonspeed (5) + @Xadyu (4)

"He is THE STRUGGLER. For me, he symbolizes something deeply human. As some might say that life is tragic and tainted by malevolence, this man just rages on against literal gods in spite of a miserable fate that just seems to maximize his suffering. Huge inspiration to say fuck fate, you gotta make your own. - Desin

"The Struggler! Guts is a very fitting name . " - Demonspeed

"You knew this one was coming I got into Berserk last year when the pandemic was taking off and things started to get fucky for me health-wise, but I think that what strikes me about Guts is that he's not perfect and has his flaws, yet no matter how much shit can come his way and his suffering continues, he finds a way to keep pushing on, putting one foot forward at a time. He's a struggler, but where so many people would've just given up and broken down he kept forging on for reasons both good and bad. That sort of strength to just keep pushing on when the whole world is against you hit me in a different way, and I think that a good message we can take from Guts is that no matter what can happen in life, it's important to try and keep pushing forward even if we're unsure of what it is we should be doing. " SirSam

[Valhalla]

Top 10 starting with all these sevens
Yeah Kamina was quite the motivator, and his charisma was a great inspiration and motivation for Simon till the end of the series.
Yes i also nominated characters that didnt really inspire me directly, but the characters around them.

[Demonspeed]

Guts is lower than I expected. I thought he would be Top 5 at the very least.

I love how "The Struggler" is in all the comments .

[desin24]

26 Points Rank 8

Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist by @Rikudou King (9) + @Valhalla777 (6) + @revo (5) + @Xadyu (2) + @Evil3ye (4)

"Inspirational in showing that's it's alright to fail and to depend on other people. " - Rikudou King

"Kinda similar to Haruhi's case, FMA was one of the first anime series I got into, but I still love it a lot nowdays, and even now I consider Edward very inspiring (even if many others of the FMA cast are too). He was kinda an influence too because I was such a fangirl that when I was 14 years old for a while I carried my bags just like he did. " - Revo

"He made a mistake, but although it seemed impossible to ever make it right he wasn't discouraged and kept going" - Evil

CORRECTION

26 Points Rank 7

Ishida Shouya from Koe no Katachi by @Ustegius (3) + @Nii (6) + @revo (6) + @afromarco005 (7) + @Valhalla777 (4)

"He's one of these characters I said I personally don't identify with at all, and that have barely something in common. He still has one of the best redemption arcs I saw, and his whole arc, especially in the manga, of self-love and self-forgiveness, was very motivational and inspiring to me. " - Revo

"Represents the ability for humans to change and learn from their mistakes" - Afromarco

[Erinyes]

Just wow i never expected yotsuba to be a shared pick @Rikudou King
This girl is like a sun ray, shes my medicine when im feeling down sometimes i just go and read chapters and feel better shes innocent, fun, and touching and i love so much her interactions with her father.

@Farfalla & @Juviii love you girls

you got amazing taste ! Maomao is such a refreshing char, probably one of the best female mc i got to see. im happy to see her making top 10 among those around 200 nominations.

this girl lol

Spoiler

that look, i love how smart she is, and the guts she has.

No more picks for me, all appeared

[Farfalla]

Awn looks like no one listed Al ;_;

[desin24]

27 Points Rank 6

Allmight from Boku no Hero Academia by @BD_Beno (9) + @Hemit (9) + @Farfalla (8) + @Elusia (1)

"Awesomely written character, I love him. Could be better without the clear American inspo, LOL. Still, he works well as the image of the top hero and a symbol, he's indeed quite charming and convincing at that, but I love how the author conveys his limited and flawed human side as well. He rarely causes aversion, you end up inspired by him but also wanting to comfort him. I get many good feelings from All Might." - Farfalla

"He's the symbol of peace for a reason. His flaws make him even better as a character. A worthy Top 10 member" - Desin

[Evil3ye]

Ohh, my top two picks are in top five. Curious who will win

[desin24]

29 Points Rank 5

Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece by @Evil3ye (10) + @Ustegius (7) + @Faust (7) + @afromarco005 (4) + Desin (1)

"It sounds silly and cliché but I found the concept of Nakama as described in One piece so beautiful, that I started holding it as standard for my own personal relationships. Unfortunately not that many friends would knock you out of Enies Lobby irl" - Evil

"I like how he really sees people for who they are and not how society defines them. He is a very genuine and positive person. " - Afromarco

"His need for freedom and adventure and his relationship and trust with his Nakama are amazing." - Desin
