The MHA thing doesn't make any sense, around volume 29 it was 30 million in Japan and now it's 37? How did it sell 7 million copies without anybody knowing this?
Maybe digital?

The person that reports reprints doesnt ever mention heroaca reprints? perhaps the series had a total reprint of every volume (like 200K)

in 2020 it was 5mln in America, wonder what its at a year later, and if we know any other countries.
uhm, where did people get 20mln were international from???

and if its 13million

and American has 5 million of that...

wow, we really love our super hero manga.
the 5 million number was from almost a year ago (April 4 2020) so I'm sure it's larger. Technically we don't know for sure if it's US only or all regions Viz is in

Yeah, I considered that, but I just find it odd that they would go for a big number when whether people like it or not MHA does not sell out that fast at all.

Even if this was just circulation numbers, printing 7 million copies is such a bizarre move, feels like they want to make it bigger than it actually is.
Apparently the Oricon numbers for the series had been above the circulation numbers for quite a while now, so Jump had been holding back the print count until just recently.

On a sidenote, as someone who pays attention to the series and TOC but didn't keep count:
With that high frequency of ColorPages that Mission: Yozakura Family gets, might it be having the most out of all the WSJ series this year so far?
It almost makes me think that they are using the artist's skill with beautiful color motives to polish up the magazine for potential readers, because I can't imagine the series being THAT popular, despite of how much I like it personally.
I don't think anyone answered your question directly yet, but yes Yozakura Family has the most of all series this year, with 6. In second place is Mashle, with 4. I'm happy about it though since he has some of the most gorgeous color pages in the magazine.

Which makes no sense since they would have printed more if there was any demand in the first place yet right now I just see 12 volumes charted most of them are between 500 and 300 and barely anything in the past months.

The circulation number was probably higher in Japan last time but they just thought 30 million was a nicer number to promote.

Ame no Furu is about what? Doesn't the preview say anything?

dont think there is any statement to make when all manga see a boost when the anime is airing, on top of, the new release next week
The "boost" is approximately 7 million copies, or an increase of 23%, in a matter of months (since vol 29). That's pretty substantial, even if the anime is starting.

Isn't monthly sales just an incomplete view, comics seemed to have moved towards the online subscription model (2007?) way sooner than manga did. marvel app + comixology is at like 11mln dls, viz shonen jump is 500K, and mangaplus is only 1mln+.

I was unaware people still bought single issues in stores...and isn't the only way to even read legacy comics digital anyway, not buying in a store?
I don't think the digital market is so profitable for comics in USA, especially the subscription model. They still want to sell physical comics.

If your point is about comics in USA being bigger sellers than manga in USA, it will difficult to be sure.

Pretty much the usual final author comment from Matsuura:

"It was a short run, but thank you so much for your support. / It was a serialization supported by everyone."
