I was close to adding Aki as well. Just bad memories of her being used badly in the show holding me back.

For Aki, yeah agree, I wasn't big on how she was used post-Dark Signers arc.

Aki is objectively best yugioh girl. Thx @Erinyes couldn't have picked better picks for her :verily

There is a lot to love about her design: her outfit, her hair, and most particularly I love her eyes:

though regrettably the artists are not always consistent when it to comes to her face so sometimes she looks weird, lol.

Still, she's best girl

I don't get what you guys mean by "badly used". To me she is the best handled yugioh girl, at least in anime: her development was commendable, she went from a freak to decent waifu material, and is the only yugioh character proven to have a successful life in adulthood as she became a doctor xD

I agree that the show did not focus on her as much after the dark signer arc, but she still had her moments:

the male protagonist gets kidnapped and she single handedly rescues him; this is unpredecented in a yugioh show.

She learns riding duel in record time and goes to compete in a tournament against experts; granted she did lose and I agree she could've done better but her contribution to the team was admirable.

Also, that time when she risked her life to save a kid in the middle of a storm gave me goosebumps; it showed how much she evolved as a person and that she began to see her psychic powers in a different light.

All in all, her character had a huge unexploited potential, but comparatively speaking no other yugioh girl came close, except Asuka perhaps, but the latter was nowhere as developed nor as proactive as Aki was.

Still, you guys could've at least given her an HM :nah

Valid points, which is why she's best yugioh girl. For me, it was how she was used as a duelist/ lack of signature dueling performance. But it's been many yrs, and I guess my expectations were too high back then for her duel riding debut given the circumstances.

As for HM, true but didn't wanna overdo it.

I like that Fran's girl design the most from this batch. Looks like she is a puppet.

Sometimes when I read the posts here I wonder if I should give the FGO franchise another chance. I never really followed the series properly but I really disliked 5D.

What Beno said. As a character Aki is great, but I‘m still mad how plot-irrelevant she gets and how she was shafted in terms of duels.. As is the fate of all YuGiOh female characters for some reason..

I didn‘t send any HM list, but she would‘ve been on it if I had.
