Re: Does Marijane fight well?

Wasn't she once an S-class mage, along with Erza, Mist Gun, Guildartz and Luxus? I would expect her to fight well, or at one time fight well. It seems that after losing her sister, she's been resigned to being the bar maid and support for the other characters. I wouldn't mind seeing what she could do, though.

The new arc is coming along very nice, it's so cool to see Erza's past i wonder if Gildartz isn't going to be very important later on or something like that? Which other reason would there be for not showing him. The same goes to Mist Gun. And Luxus should just die or something o.o
And seeing more of Natsu's past would be cool, as there seems to be something odd about the dragon's disappearance, and the talk with Gazille seems to confirm that.
Just to comment, don't you think Lucy is becoming quite boring? Besides the breasts jokes and pervs, there isn't much else to add, it makes me a bit sad. It's a shame when female characters become a bit boring. Though it would be very cool if she was cornered and had to fight... and getting more keys. Cancer makes me laugh so much XD

Well it's still just about 80+ chapters. For a shounen manga, I think it will still stretch on. And I think the S rank characters of Fairy Tail are pretty much reserved for the next arcs with the more explosive battles. They have yet to shine. It's like, parallel to the SS arc in bleach when you thought every one of them are kick-ass, and suddenly they all get bankai or something.

Yeah, it'll certainly stretch further. Look at Inu-Yasha, 550 chapters or so O_O
I guess they'll only appear much later on... cna't wait to see them fight

In Natsu or Happy profile, Mashima said that he thinks to show Natsu past when Salamander meets Happy. I'm anxious for it more than 7 dragons or about the day 7/7/777.
I'm sure that meet was very fun and touching.

I'm totally agree with you about Lucy.
Mashima and your mind perv can't stop to do fanservice with this girl. But it's already a characteris­tic of work, we have to accustom about it.

Well, she is one of the main characters and main characters need to be in constant development. It's natural she still has some potential.

Do you wonder how amazing will be when Lucy summon Loki? Well, I didn't like the conclusion about Loki's problem, but this increases Lucy's potential for the battles because Loki is pretty strong and useful, certainly since he appears in first colorspread to give a evidence of his important in the story though he don't have the same freedom at this moment

I'm not sure the first chapter color spread means much. Kana was in it too, and she... hasn't done much. Though seeing Loki actually fight would be nice.

Think you are the mangaka. What would be the intention of introducing a lots of character in first colorspread of the first chapter?

It's like if the mangaka said "These are our stars here". Some stars shines more, another less, of course. Some others stars also come (Erza and Lluvia are examples), but all them will shine during the plot, and Kana won´t be a exception.

Does anyone has a clue why Erza has her eye back? Maybe it's just a magical glass eye that moves accordingly with the other. If that's the case, Hiro should hint that she doesn't have depth perception .

I was just reading over the old chaps, and I came on the chapter when Lucy went back to her father's mansion, her mother "died" in the year 777, but since they didn't show images of a funeral or anything, I'm starting to wonder if she really died 7 years ago, or if Lucy's father just told Lucy she died, like she left and didnt come back so Lucy was just told she passed. I think she's still alive and off somewhere with the dragons (Igneel and Metallicana) and Lucy's father knows this, and only wanted her back so he could protect her from the same fate. When he was looking at Lucy out through the window, it seemed he was more sad than angry, like he was more afraid for her future. Anyway, I feel like when we see Natsu's reunion with Igneel, we will also see a reunion with Lucy: maybe her mother is a dragon or dragon tamer, or a stellar spirit dragon.

i think lucy is like sakura from naruto ... i hope she gets a "bower boost" like her ;D

she could solve her "quest" or her arc and at the end she gets a powerful stellar spirit or more/better control over her spirits
