Cruz is a senator from Texas. He has a huge fan base there. In the Texas primary, he beat Trump by 17 points. That being said, Texas has always been a republic state. Don't think Hillary has much chance there.

I think Hillary should choose Sanders or Warren for VP. That will get her the progressive votes she needs to beat Donald Jr.

It would certainly make sense, but i do not know whether she will.
A great leader would choose warren, because she would give her trouble to handle (i dont think warren will keep silent if clinton does something warren does not like) but can also be a big asset if clinton can deal with her.
But while i am convinced that clinton is a politician who is smart and knows her game, her personal leadership qualities are not that convincing to me.
And i think clinton knows that herself.

Cruz went against that pledge and nobody will ever take his word serious anymore. He pissed off many people with the GOP, even the delegates bound to Cruz were disgusted by his refusal to endorse. He will never ever have the chance to become the republican nominee anymore, and he's too much of a religious lunatic to be a serious candidate for the democrats.

I really don't think so. There were other instances in which gambe's like that have paid off.
What republicans say NOW is not what they will say in 4 years.
Dem's are known to hold grudges, the republicans are less likely to do so, exspecially in the case of trump.

Cruz gambles on trumps nomination being a desaster. If he is right, he will reap the benefits in four years, i am very convinced about that.

I reply to this again because it really bothers me how you treat attacks like that. Honestly, I find it quite tasteless, even taking into account that you have a tendency to troll.

THIS is one little areal of the mall, which is a rather one:

On Friday afternoon, it is even much more populated than that.
The shooter started out, as far as we know, in a mc donalds rights besides the mall (which was completely filled too with many people sitting arround), then went on the street, shot there some more, then went into that mall and kept shooting.
The path he chose after that is not clear yet.

If that guy would have had automatic firearms, we would talk about 100 dead people, not 8 (its 8 so far, not 9).

The fact that he did not have one of those makes the difference between a bloodbath like Orlando and the possibility of most people in his proxomity being able to escape with only wounds or even unharmed.
Saying anything else is a delusion, just look at the crowd in the pciture, which is, as i said, much smaller than the actual crowd you would meet there on fridays.

And before people delve into the islamic terror topic: From a video in which the shooter argued with a man on a balcony, it seems more plausible that he is in fact an amok runner, more of an angry lonely shooter with right wing tendencies than a political terrorist.

His identity is not clear by now (to the public, anyways), but police already said that there is no indication for any islamic terror influence.
Traffic in munich starts rolling again by now after police secure the threatened places.
there were people being taken into custody, it is not clear whether they have the shooter by now.

You have no idea just how hard I laughed after I've thought about it. The pain and humiliation he had to endure just to think of having a possibility to get picked as VP, only for it to backfire.

Well, say about sanders what you want, but he left a much more graceful image than any republican.
They either fell in line at once because they wanted to get something out of it, or they went into the state of whelping dogs setting their sight on the time after trump.

Sanders (even if ia critisized him for his late ensorsement) tried his best to get some of his policies more potlight and to make clinton back them.
He fought his best to get the best outcome for the US, not for himself personally in my opinion.

Oh, Then he'd only have a chance in Texas, but they will likely vote for Trump. Texas is primarily a republican state with bigots, so I'm pretty sure they'll vote for republican regardless. I agree, she has no chance there.

So then him shilling for whoever pays him money isn't damaging either? Cruz might never have success running for President again, but I doubt it'll do much damage to his current position. As a man, I don't have a problem with Cruz breaking him pledge...I do however think that him speaking at the RNC despite that really rich though.

In my state, there isn't much difference between here and a country like Germany. The biggest difference is that registration of firearms only applies to handguns and not all firearms. I am aware that the united states varies greatly depending on the region when it comes to stuff like that.
I think a problem there would be that you can easily cross borders, get powerful weapon, and then return. if you are dead set on killing people, that is.

It just irked me the wrong way that this shooting was used for a gun debate and also used deceivingly.

The newest information is that the shooter is dead and was an 18 year old kid just out of school.
It is not clear yet how he got his gun, but he simply had a normal one as far as it is known. If anything, stricter gunlaws would make sense here because it is questionable whether a 18 year old can get a gun illegally (he had no criminal record before, it is not like he was in the mob or something).
All underage or near underage shooters in germany so far got the gun from their fathers' weapon archive, which their fathers had legally.
It is not clear here, but i would assume it with the facts we have by now.

It is really tragic that two young people in such a short succession led to so much bloodshed. The shooter in this incident killed himself after killing 9 other people, so he went so absolutely classical amok run spree.

There are claims that he was in mental treatment, too. So unlike the case with the axekiller, this one might even have been prevented.There will probably be more information tomorrow about it, but as it stands, it seems like he could only get his hands on this one weapon and some ammunition, and when he was out of it, he used one of the last bullets on himself.
So he actually could not get all the weapons he would possibly have wanted.

I've really never thought this could happen, that both Democrats AND Republicans could lose an Election because of that 1 terrible speaker.

Shilling? Everyone made a pledge to support whoever wins the nomination. How is honoring your pledge to your political party, to the other candidates and to all of the voterbase shilling? I don't care about his current position, though it's been made clear many times that nobody in the senate can stand him. And it's obviously for good reasons.

Of course it would be bullshit for that to happen, but at the same time, the Democrats were playing a rigged game and favoritism. If it costs them the election, then the fault will be theirs for screwing with people (and the sad thing is that they have a clear path in winning the Election after Donald Trump became the nominee, but they've had to put their full support on Hillary who's quite unfavorable towards the American people).

I think she picked him because he *might* be able to get Florida (he probably has Virginia in the bag, despite Hillary's remarks on Coal Miners), which has quite a lot of Spanish-speaking citizens.
