Well, it's not like every single US intelligence agency agreeing that russia hacked the DNC server and tried to use the emails to affect the election outcome really says or otherwise means anything. There is more than enough room to suggest anyone could have done that like, say, china. And I am sure russia hacking macron's emails was merely an accident. The most likely scenario is that a kremlin official had one too many vodka shots and accidentally clicked his "download macron emails" bottom. Putin and the people working for him are an example of respect for human rights and basic human decency, the respect they have for the russian press which holds the government accountable is an example to be followed by anyone.

Sure, but where does the relation to Trump come from?

Well, in the part they all agree russia tried to influence the election in trump's favor. As far as the relationship to trump, that is exactly what the FBI is investigating right now. Though I would argue it is unlikely trump and russia would have worked together in that specifically. Trump and his team are incompetent enough to ruin this had they been involved and overall it is not something russia needed help with anyways. And even then, the flynn thing is damming enough as it is when it comes to trump's team having shady dealings with russia....

Chris Evans is a good choice too. Better yet, have him show up in debates wearing his Cap uniform and punch the hell out of Drumpf (at the last one). All Might or even Horikoshi is an even better choice. A japanese who understands and embodies the American Spirit more than the Americans themselves (or at least the ones who voted the president into office).

I'd like to know Dwayne's policies first. Don't get me wrong: I admire and love Dwayne Johnson, but if his policies aren't any better than Trump's, then the only difference is that The Rock isn't a moron or the type of guy to piss off people.

I've had this discussion in another forum, and someone mentioned an interesting potential candidate for 2020: Tulsi Gabbard. She's renown for her persistence of bringing back the Glass-Steagall Act, currently a Representative of Hawaii's 2nd District, and an Iraq War Veteran.
I can't say that I've completely read through her positions yet, but if she does plan to run (and if most of her positions are something I strongly agree), then she *may* have my support.

The rock can flex his broken arm out of a cast. Can bernie do that? Such a thing is obviously much harder and painful than fixing health care or draining the swamp. Heck, the rock could drain the swamp with one straw.... He would, of course, drink it whole. And it would add to his muscles and make him stronger.

It would become problematic for them because it would only give the American People more impression that they're hiding something. Covering their foot-tracks hasn't worked with Nixon, and it sure as shit won't work for a Moron.
What I'm saying is that for Trump to fire Comey in the middle of an investigation (aiming at Trump himself) doesn't give off a good vibe in D.C. or the people.
again though, most of us already know he is. The problem is with his supporters who won't believe the facts and will just cry fake news instead. I don't think Nixon had as much blind, idiotic followers as Trump does, nor has he played the game as well as Trump did. Majority of the people who aren't all that close to him likely know he's hiding something. However, republicans don't care as long as he does what they want, and dems are too soft.

I think Rock is a republican and would run as such, but I'm assuming that based on his Wiki.

Because this is Putin's bread and butter? I understand the fear that pointing to Russia whenever something seems fishy will become a crutch for corrupt politicians, but I don't think the consensus of intelligence agencies claiming this fact in the US and French elections as being some sort of conspiracy, that's all.

Well, yeah, but it would also give the skeptic citizens an idea and shift their positions regarding to the Administration (it's basically turning them from a "I'm taking this with a grain of salt" to "This guy is definitely hiding something").
At least when this whole "Russia" collision started, people didn't take it seriously because of how badly damaged the Media's reputation has suffered (from polls to biased coverage). Now, there's an indication that this scandal could be real and eventually be Trump's downfall.

And I'm not even talking about the Trumptards and their practice of Trumptardism. Those are the hopeless of hopeless in society.

Would he really run as a Republican? Or I should be asking: Is it possible for him to run as a Republican when Trump wants to go for a second term? I don't think I've heard of such case where 2 of the same party candidates running at the same time.

True, although if the citizens weren't shifted against the Administration weeks ago, then who knows. It's a gamble though, given if they were skeptic then they were probably still leaning towards Trump.

I dunno, he probably would if his views align more with the republicans. But then again, Rock is pretty popular that he could run as a dem and have a great chance of winning, especially if he espouses more democratic values than republican. but there is the primaries....

So according to white house leaks or something trump actually thought democrats would be happy comey was fired... I mean, how? Why? We are 4 months into the guys presidency, I knew he was stupid and clueless before he was elected but come on! There has to be a bar somewhere that sets the limit to the guy's idiocy. But every day he lowers it. For fucks sake.... It's like being president has actually made him dumber. And that is not even the surprising bit, doesn't he have 1 adviser that could have told him "NO YOU ASTOUNDING IDIOT, EVERYONE ON THE PLANET WILL ABSOLUTELY CALL BULLSHIT ON YOU FIRING COMEY AT THIS TIME". Trump is not even worth calling a toddler or a child. He is just stupid, he doesn't have a single functional brain cell...

I hope they copy ACA and improve it. I was okay with repealing ACA, but not replacing it with a shit act that hurts people.
Historically, Republicans have never been keen on universal healthcare. Arguably the last Republicans president who knew what he was doing on healthcare was Nixon. But after the 1980s the party went beaucoup cuckoo on health policy. Regarding the ACA, its biggest flaws are that the law didn't go far enough. Subsidies should have been more generous, for example. My biggest worries with Republican success in repealing the ACA are the domestic and foreign implications such actions entail. Domestically, it'll galvanize Democrats and embolden Republicans to further desecrate the safety net, thereby grossly magnifying the growing social unrest in the U.S. Foreign powers will have observed the country literally losing its mind because such actions are unprecedented. The only times I can think of where millions lose access to health care are during events like the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Syrian Civil War. Our traditional allies will not trust a country that gleefully yanks healthcare from its own citizenry as we're on the verge of doing.

I don't think there is a risk of that regarding US allies. It would take years of things going seriously wrong even when compared to the worst of the AHCA for things to get that bad. The thing about US allies here is that even if they actually lost all of their trust in the US, they wouldn't have an alternative to fall on. Heck, all of the EU barely makes a single US...

As far as obamacare, I would argue the main issue was that obama never went far enough to force people to buy insurance. It sounds bad when phrased that way however obamacare was meant to work via having a lot more people buy insurance to offset the risk insurers took by not being able to reject people with pre existing conditions. For insurers this is simple. Got more risk? Raise premiums! And of course, obamacare never addressed issues with hospitals charging too much, pharma companies being able to market medicine directly to people, US folk being increasingly overweight and by extension unhealthy....

My main worry with ACA being repealed though is how millions of people will be affected. ACA is important, and we see that, but republicans are still hellbent on repealing it with a shitty plan in place when they could either improve it and fix its flaws or put in a better plan that helps people.

I'm sure our allies stopped trusting us once Trump either won the primaries or the electoin.

Those who did not have insurance were taxed. How is that not far enough in forcing people to get insurance?

So, after trump graced us with the bit that he thought people would be on board with him firing comey, who was investigating him, and then went on to give a hundred different lazy excuses as to why he did it, including him treating hillary clinton poorly, he goes on to threaten comey not to leak anything he might have talked with trump. Ok, I am officially not surprised at this idiocy. It finally sank in that trump's stupidity has no depths and if anything it is only magnified by every idiot around him. I am actually looking forward to the next bit he will grace us with that tops this.

Setting that aside, this is an interesting bit:

My understanding of this was that obama did not go far enough into this and consistently delayed full implementation of the measure due to the political cost it would have. Did I miss anything?

Seems I must be missing something as I always thought taxing a fee was enough of forcing people.

It just adds fuel to the fire. What's really hit our allies is the bizarre election of the most unqualified president in modern history, along with other factors like the ole Russian thing.

Countries like Sweden will garnish your wages if you don't have insurance. Yes, the U.S. taxes people too, but in our case, it's often cheaper to forego insurance because it's too expensive, between the premiums and godawful deductibles ($10,000 and climbing!).

and not to mention our president doing and saying stupid shit. Trump's victory probably damaged our cred beyond belief. :(

Oh, I see. For some of us though, it's still kinda expensive.

So trump did manage to outdo himself regarding the idiocy behind the comey firing. He then went on talk about taping comey... It won't be long until he does something to outdo this idiotic thing.
