No, it's an attempt to pander to Bernie supporters. If Bernie runs as a third party, Trump will win.
Figured. Thought it was better to think Trump approved of Bernie though, at least because Bernie is anti-establishment as well. Though, unless Bernie winning is a sure thing against Hillary, I'm not sure why Trump cares.

I'm curious to see who'd win between Trump and Hillary and Trump and Bernie.

Non non non. The point is if bernie actually split from the Democrats, da bernz would take quite a few voters away from the Democrats party but the Republicans would stay pretty much the same. All those that would side with other republicans are, well... already gone cus trump is all that's left orrrr have gone to trumps side. Plus even if trump sucks donkey wangs to some republican voters, with the way people "intelligently" choose sides, they'd stick with trump just to stick it to the dems side.

P.s same would apply to the Democrats.

You mean one refugee, who lied just to keep playing basketball. That's hardly dangerous. I also don't see how they're any more of burdens to the economy than our citizens that get welfare as well, That link seems to be conservative biased, but I could be wrong. Townhall definitely is conservative biased, and that's obvious based on the dumb things said in the article. Bringing in Syrian refugees isn't a mistake because there is no proof they're dangerous, none at all. Not only is the country's vetting process one of the best, but no terrorist would want to risk wasting years to get in with a high chance of being denied if the agents find anything about them suspicious. Neither of these links you posted are researches, one is a bullshit opinion posted by a conservative, and the other seems to be singling out a group of people even though there are far more citizen on welfare
There is an increasing state of paranoia in countries that have admitted a large number of refugees over the last several years. Take Germany as an example. Consider the following links:
All four Exhibits are hardly biased sources of information. From a national security perspective, there exist legitimate reasons to be skeptical of the "good" that can be done from admitting a large number of refugees in any country at any time. There is also the matter of looking at the subject from a cultural perspective. While Islamophobia is stupid and counterproductive, I am of the opinion that Middle Eastern values are incompatible with Western values and dislike the notion of encouraging mass migration from the Middle East to the United States.

I don't necessarily disagree with this line of thinking, "forced" multiculturalism isn't always the most productive thing for a society, but who exactly is encouraging mass migration to the US? Europe has their own issues due to proximity, but it isn't something we're faced with. Not to that degree anyways. Many conservatives are being paranoid about this issue in an election year, but most liberals think the current immigration system hasn't failed the country, so they see no reason for us to be stricter with or discriminatory towards certain populations.

You are aware that the United States is the world’s top resettlement country for refugees, yes? The US being a haven for mass migration is well-known throughout the world. Europe has their own issues due to proximity, and it is something we're faced with. Immigration from our neighbors in Central America have been setting record levels for the past few years now. Part of this involves laws like the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. That law says the children cannot be sent back. They must instead be held humanely by the Department of Health and Human Services until the courts release them to a "suitable family member" in this country. Another part involves where the refugees are coming from, like the murder capital of the world, Honduras.

Not all "liberals" would agree with you on the current state of our immigration system.

Discriminatory or not, there is a reason why many people emphasize "secure the border!" Nearly half of federal crimes occur near the Mexican border, and is probably under-reported out of fear of retaliation. Then again, this is the result of America's drug obsessions (and somewhat off-topic).

Well, the issue over at germany and europe isn't even "forced multiculturalism" though. The refugees will be there trying to get into europe regardless of whether they are accepted or not. As far as I can tell the official policy is that refugees should go back to syria once the situation stabilizes (granted that that could take god knows how long). The vast majority of refugees are people simply running away from war... Helping them out is basic human decency. Even if that weren't the case, they would still head towards europe anyways considering that even if they are unwelcomed things are still unlikely to be quite as bad as back in their own homes (of course, it is unlikely to be that easy when the time comes).

Well, if crime at the borders is related to drugs then there is no point in bringing it up in a discussion about immigration (other than being intentionally misleading). Illegal immigrants are known to be less violent than born citizens. I can't find the source but they even get more violent with each subsequent generation at the US. They basically catch up....

As far as "securing the borders"... What borders? A big chunk of immigrants literally fly to the US. A 10000 meter tall wall wouldn't stop that.

Wait, Trump likes Bernie?

dafuq
I don't think it matters in his tweet whether he likes Sanders or not. I'd say he doesn't, since I don't think he thinks much of some of Sanders' stances and ambitions, and there's been quite some banter from Sanders towards Trump. But alas, that's not what matters in the tweet.

He's pointing out the disgusting situation of the democrat primaries which are quite a sad sight. Just look at the mess in Nevada(it's similar in scale with what happened in Colorado for the republicans). He also tells Sanders to run as independent, but I doubt he was serious or expects anything out of it due to the Forrest Gump reference :lmao Overall just a shitpost, but a very funny shitpost.
Regardless what Sanders decides and if he endorses Clinton or not, quite a number of his supporters have already been alienated by Clinton.

I personally can't wait to see the person that called and ran his campaign as a "political revolution" to bend his knee to the establishment :kappa

Clinton is the first that comes to mind. She takes after Merkel, her "idol" in politics as she said. She's been calling for taking in larger number of refugees in the US several times.

No. Most refugees are far past the point of just running for their lives. Aside from all the numerous fake refugees that are just abusing the situation for their own benefits, isn't it interesting that Germany is the main destination for many of them despite being a long way away from the safe countries they arrive at?

It always does baffle me when people take Clinton as a good representative for women. Maybe because she sells a woman card on her store? :4head

Based on what? To the best of my knowledge the vast majority of immigrants actually go to middle eastern countries. Germany is merely the most popular european destination.

I wasn't comparing it to our Southern border, I was talking about taking in refugees from the Middle East, specifically. The situation we have with our border and the refugee crisis over there concern our immigration policies in a broader sense, but it isn't really an apples to apples comparison.

Clinton is the first that comes to mind. She takes after Merkel, her "idol" in politics as she said. She's been calling for taking in larger number of refugees in the US several times.
I wasn't aware of what Clinton has said regarding it specifically. I seem to recall her saying we should take more. I do know how liberals/moderates have reacted to the toxic rhetoric coming from Trump/Cruz/etc. Reacting negatively towards banning all Muslims doesn't really translate to the government installing an open-border policy for everyone over there. Maybe it's politically convenient for the right to frame it that way in the campaign, but everything I've read about it contradicts such a notion.

I don't think it's nearly over for Sanders. Clinton has around 1 700 PLEDGED delegates, which means the ones the voters chose, mathematically there is a chance of no one reaching the "magic number". If they continue to split the delegates evenly as they did last night in Oregon and Kentucky it will lead up to that with the superdelegates deciding in the end for the Democrats. Which would show the undemocratic way of doing the "selection" and not the election.

Sanders should let EVERYONE get a chance to vote. He is doing more for democracy than Clinton in this election, despite her being the likely nominee. Plus if Hillary get indicted by the FBI in the meantime Sanders is the only one with a strong enough BASE to take her place if she is prosecuted.

Btw on the Nevada thing...everyone is attacking Sanders for causing trouble, the media is 100% against him and he still won Oregon and made a virtual tie in Kentucky, if the playing field was more even from the beginning Sanders would already be winning here. But take it as what you have atm he is doing the best thing he can engaging with voters and traveling every angle of the USA to get people to THINK politically and be more socially active.

Although admitting large amount of refugees is a bad idea, I don't think Middle Eastern values are that incompatible with Western values, both values can get along.

Pretty sure Bernie will rather have Hillary in office over Trump. Shame many Bernie supporters don't see that and would rather sit it out.

Clinton just needs 90 more delegates, its virtually impossible for Sanders to win. If someone is already so close, why would a superdelegate change their vote to a loser, its not logical.

Its also not as if Sanders has more votes than Clinton either, Clinton has over 13 mln total votes, while Sanders has only 10 mln.

Latest polls show Clinton losing to Trump, while Sanders beats Trump. If this trend continues to show in polling through the last primaries, it's enough of a reason for Superdelegates to change. Not to mention any potential indictment she might face from the FBI investigation. Sanders is just objectively the safer bet as nominee.

The polls I have seen suggest trump is technically tied with hillary rather than ahead... I think that is basically the republican party adjusting to trump though, at this point it seems like they are just ready to back him up. Though it is definitely worrisome that trump caught up so quickly, hopefully whoever runs against him won't think s/he has it in the bag. What exactly would clinton be accused of? I keep reading about a potential indictment but I can't find what exactly she would be accused of.

Well, whatever misconduct that could be associated with sharing classified information, I suppose.

The issue is having a candidate being under investigation or even going through a trial while simultaneously running for the highest office in the country. That's the sort of circus the Democrats don't need.

Well, my confusion is due to the server thing not actually being illegal. As in, using the server itself was not illegal. So does that mean that rather than the having the server itself she could be indicted over emails containing classified information?

Agreed, the democrats don't need that. I would think that hillary would step down if she is indicted just to save herself the trouble and not further damage the democrat campaign.

I'm not sure what you're expecting. Even if both don't reach the required number of delegates, the point of superdelegates is to support the candidate with the best chances and the one the majority of people want, no? The thought of her being so close to becoming the POTUS disgusts me, but Clinton simply has more people that voted and supported her than Sanders so it would only be undemocratic for someone else to be the nominee.

Plus if Hillary get indicted by the FBI in the meantime Sanders is the only one with a strong enough BASE to take her place if she is prosecuted.

The superdelegates will only switch if Sanders gets more voter support than Clinton, which so far isn't happening.
You're also forgetting that even if Clinton is indicted(which, let's be honest, is rather unlikely), president Obama will pardon her. She's the closest person to continuing his "dynasty" after all.
The polls are still highly inaccurate, and no way will all superdelegates choose Sanders because some polls show him better against the republican candidate when the majority of the democrats want Clinton.

Of course he would. But why would you think his supporters follow everything he says? Clinton doesn't represent what Sanders did, and his endorsement won't change that she isn't him. This primary also enraged many of his supporters who put a lot of time and effort in supporting Sanders' campaign. During these months their hate for Clinton has grown larger than their hate for any republican nominee. Hence why Sanders endorsing Clinton won't move all his supporters to support her instead now. I think there's polls about that as well, but I'm unsure how much they can be trusted. I'd say 60% of Sanders' supporters will vote for Clinton, the 40% most won't vote and a few will go to Trump.

I would question whether the delegates wouldn't turn on her if clinton gets indicted. They would get the choice of voting for sanders or someone with an ongoing criminal investigation. What chance would clinton even have of winning while in the middle of a criminal investigation? Even hillary's base probably wouldn't take issue with the delegates turning. Assuming she even has a base after such an event....

As for obama pardoning her... I would question that as well. Ideally what obama and the democrat party would want is for her to be cleared of all charges. Obama pardoning her would make it seem like she got to walk solely because she was hillary clinton regardless of whether she was guilty or not. Such a thing would hurt anything related to democrats... A pardon should be more of a desperate measure for obama and the democratic party. Even without clinton they have a perfectly good candidate with whom the party at large probably has no issues with. So sanders runs and hillary goes through the whole thing until she is prosecuted or not.
