Thank god some republicans were honest enough to oppose their party line.
What happened?Thank god some republicans were honest enough to oppose their party line.
The AHCA bill failed to pass. Many of the Party members were skeptical about it.What happened?
In other words, America won that one while the unAmericans lost. Best day ever since Muslim ban got pwned. The AHCA bill failed to pass. Many of the Party members were skeptical about it.
The shitty FYP party had 7 fucking years to make a plan to repeal and replace the ACA, with the perfect opportunity where they took over the Senate, the House, and even the fucking White House, and the AHCA is the best thing they could do?In other words, America won that one while the unAmericans lost. This is nothing to be surprised about to be honest. At least in terms of what they came up with at least. Just look at what went on with the party itself as they tried to get the votes to pass the act. You had the ryan republicans who saw it as a consensus that would allow significant deregulation. You had the more moderate republicans who did not have it in them to leave so many millions of people without insurance. And then you had the freedom caucus guys who thought the act was too socialist. Trump even worked to find some middle ground between the ryan republicans and the freedom caucus guys, actually got a concession to deregulate more and even THAT was not enough for the freedom caucus guys. There is no appeasing the various factions here. The shitty FYP party had 7 fucking years to make a plan to repeal and replace the ACA, with the perfect opportunity where they took over the Senate, the House, and even the fucking White House, and the AHCA is the best thing they could do?

The whole thing is ridiculous. A couple days ago I ran into a fox news video with Sean Hanity talking about the act and trump... and literally everything he said was simply false. Whether he really is that stupid or he is straight up lying is beyond me. Seriously, you had the guy talking about trump actually standing behind the AHCA... Even though the administration itself called it ryancare. Trump literally puts his name on any piece of crap he can and yet he did not even try to do it with the AHCA. I bet trump did not even read the whole thing. Now, he did try to get republicans to support it and even kinda threatened them. Not kinda, he seriously did. But event hat wasn't enough. Then hannity went on about why there wasn't a consensus plan. Even though the bill that was presented was a consensus plan... So trump tried to force republicans to vote and he actually participated in making a consensus with the freedom caucus but that was still not enough. So basically every 65 year old in the US believes ryancare went exactly the opposite as how it did....Pay up Germany, pay up

Trump to work with dems for health care bill and blames far right--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
Hmm.....I'll give a breitbart link after all

The comment section is gold
They are so confused right now about who's even on what side anymore, whether the failure of the AHCA is a good thing or a bad thing, and if their glorious leader is turning on them or not. Ah...the mental gymnastics

Not necessarily. They failed on healthcare for the time being but I would guess that tax overhaul should be easier to get approved across republican factions. Now, if republicans fail to deliver on tax reform, then they are screwed. So the FYP party is on the verge of collapsing, in other words.![]()
If there ever was a time in which a third party would have been able to get anywhere in the US, it would be the moment the reps fall farther apart. Not necessarily. Now, if republicans fail to deliver on tax reform, then they are screwed.
The Healthcare repeal is like their biggest goal, and they utterly failed it. Now the one thing that I can at least expect from them for a Tax Reform is something like a fair-share of Income Tax with a fixed percentage rate (which would be something I can agree with, for once). If they DO somehow screw something so simple as that up, then it would be hilarious (but at the same time, risky to a certain degree). Not necessarily. That leaves... a bunch of psycho people. I mean, sure, you can remove the alt right (actual nazis) and the freedom caucus/libertarians (not nazis but psychos are offended at being associated with them) but that still leaves a party that doesn't understand net neutrality, climate change and overall is consistently at odds with scientific consensus on a variety of topics (obviously science but they are also clearly not paying attention to what economists and who knows who else they should be paying attention to). So.... that doesn't solve anything. If there ever was a time in which a third party would have been able to get anywhere in the US, it would be the moment the reps fall farther apart.
Maybe a party consisting of moderate reps without the altright and psycho people.

It wasn't their biggest goal. And it certainly was not trump's biggest goal. Overall, trump doesn't actually care about healthcare all too much. And what he did say about health care is at odds with his own party for the most part. Tax overhaul certainly rates higher on trump "nobody knew health care was so complicated" trump's agenda.Trump did use the whole thing as a political tool to get elected but that does not mean he cares too much about this. Like when he said he didn't care about imprisoning hillary anymore after the election was over. As I said earlier, he cared about this so little that it was his administration that called it "ryancare" rather than trump care. The orange clown with a fetish for his own name didn't want the bill associated with him....The Healthcare repeal is like their biggest goal, and they utterly failed it. But considering how the party has been bitching about the ACA for a good 6-7 years, it made it sound like this was one of their biggest aim. Not that I recall, but he's an advocate for lower Taxes (which, don't get any wrong idea: it's great that people pays less Taxes, but too much Tax breaks/lower taxes only increases the National Debt). I do think this is what the Republican Party wishes, and if that's what they plan on doing for Taxes, then that would be a good start.Has trump ever argued for fixed income tax percentage rates?
There is a difference between something being a priority to trump and it being a priority to the rest of the country. Repealing obamacare was a priority for republicans, not trump. Trump himself does not care about this at all. At least to me it is not evident that he does. But considering how the party has been bitching about the ACA for a good 6-7 years, it made it sound like this was one of their biggest aim. Dunno why, but it feels like the AHCA was just an asspull they came up with once Trump won, just to make their supporters feel better. Either that or it was their plan all along to make it expensive for citizens and let the wealthy keep more money. Either way, America is fucked because of the GOP.The shitty FYP party had 7 fucking years to make a plan to repeal and replace the ACA, with the perfect opportunity where they took over the Senate, the House, and even the fucking White House, and the AHCA is the best thing they could do?
The people that voted them in should have realized when we still could have done something :|Dunno why, but it feels like the AHCA was just an asspull they came up with once Trump won, just to make their supporters feel better. They are too dumb and brainwashed to do any realizing, especially when one reason why they voted for Trump is to "stick it in the left wing's face" or some shit. The people that voted them in should have realized when we still could have done something :|
Unfortunately it's not just the GOP as the Republicans being the party of Wall Street is nothing new. The Democrats don't lead with progressive ideas and legislation which are popular with the vast majority of working class people thus the majority of the population stays disinterested. Instead we have a Democrat party which is basically republican lite in economic policies and slightly left of social issues.Either way, America is fucked because of the GOP.
I mean, I don't know anyone who thinks this is a great idea or anything. The lie that consumers will now have the "freedom" to choose an ISP that doesn't sell their info, even though they'd have no idea whether they do or not....is preposterous. But this isn't really what net neutrality was about.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...t-privacy-protections/?utm_term=.18b29aacda2b
And now begins the slow removal on net neutrality. Let's hope the US maintains it's monopoly of this idiocy and the rest of the world does not follow.
