Out of curiosity, are you Black? I'm not but I'm basically repeating what I've seen Black activists and protesters say.
Nope and someone's skin color does not make what they say neither factually nor morally correct.

It's more batshit crazy to justify Black people being shot just because of their past. Since when were cops executioners? The only time they should shoot anyone is if the person is an actual danger, not because they're scared.
Jakob Blake wrestled with the cops, put one in a headlock, went to the car (which itself can be a deadly weapon), and there was a knife involved. If someone resists arrest like this and has three kids in the car, that is a danger that can not be dismissed. Was it the right move to shoot him 7 times? Most likely not and he should be disciplined. Was it an execution? Absolutely not.

No one is going to feel bad for someone who gets shot by a cop because he lunged at the cop or whipped out a gun.
No one? Look at how they go after Kyle Rittenhouse when the dis-armed dude apparently had this kind of demeanor

Er, no one ever brings up white rioters or looters doing anything, they just blame BLM protesters for any and everything but ignore anything good they do. And if the Black population makes up 13%, then that's even worse as there's a higher % of them being killed by cops. There are videos of cops trying to calm down dangerous white people who have weapons while they have no problem shooting Black people.

On average double, the number of white people is killed by police compared to black people. If you check on violent crime, it suddenly does not seem that unproportional since Police is more likely to engage black people which has its problems of its own (lots of racist policies especially the war on drugs).

Also trying to calm down white people, look how they calmed down these riot inducing cases:

BLM activists as far as I know excused looting anti-Black stores or stores with history of racism, like Gucci. Otherwise more often than not, the only relation riots have to protests is that rioters are using protests as smokescreen, whether undercover cops to undermine BLM protests and make it look bad or rioters and looters just wanting to cause damage and get free stuff.
Wait so BLM activists excuse the looting because of "racism" but there is actually no relation between the protests and the riots because undercover cops are the ones starting the riots?

Look at all these undercover cops, I always suspected it but Jake Paul being part of the secret police makes so much sense suddenly.

As I mentioned, the media for the most part don't want to cover the protests fairly, they try to make it look bad or undermine it.

They really make it look bad. How dare they say that it was a fiery protest.

If you're not in that group of people, then you won't know how it feels like to be them. I'm brown, but I'm not Muslim, so I won't know how it feels like to face Islamophobia. You're not Black, so you won't know how it feels like to be Black or experience racism the way they do. Privilege is a thing.

What's your source? two sources I've read have not mentioned this. One or two sources that did were from cops' point of view, and cops are known to lie and plant evidence. He was de-escalating a fight between two kids, and a knife being involved doesn't justify shooting someone in the back seven times. It was definitely an execution because you do not shoot someone in the back seven freakin' times, especially over a knife unless the knife can shoot deadly projectiles.

I can't find the article, but I read how a Black man lunged at a cop with a knife after being warned to drop it, and he got shot as result. Officer gave him CPR, and no BLM protester raised a voice over this. News around a decade ago also mentioned a Black man who was shot while in an SUV because cops didn't know if he had a gun, and I didn't hear anything about BLM protesters raising issue with that.

Kyle didn't get shot by a cop. He had a gun and is 17, but instead of being stopped, the cops let him go on ahead and after he shot three people, didn't arrest him or try to stop him. He had no reason to be in Kenosha, he was there only to shoot people.

On average double, the number of white people is killed by police compared to black people. If you check on violent crime, it suddenly does not seem that unproportional since Police is more likely to engage black people which has its problems of its own (lots of racist policies especially the war on drugs).

You haven't disproven my claim that higher percentage of Black people are killed by cops. The argument that more white people are killed is a common one, but the percentage is low. Either way though, it's fucked up that regardless of race, people are being killed. Cops are more likely to engage Black people because of racism, and this is one reason why the Stop and Frisk law in NYC was overturned.

How are these riot inducing cases when these people were attacking cops or clear threats? If a Black person CLEARLY assaults a cop and gets shot, not as many people are going to raise a ruckus over him. What bothers me though is that there are actual cases of white people being shot by cops for no reason, but no one ever talks about it or brings it up other than when Black victims of cops are being talked about.

But otherwise, plenty of videos out there of white people being aggressive or dangerous but not getting shot.

Wait so BLM activists excuse the looting because of "racism" but there is actually no relation between the protests and the riots because undercover cops are the ones starting the riots?

Look at all these undercover cops, I always suspected it but Jake Paul being part of the secret police makes so much sense suddenly.
Er, way to oversimplify it. BLM activists are excusing looting of some stores that have a history of racism or supporting organizations that are racist. Do you know why Gucci's seen as racist? There are also some places that are seeing riots from people unrelated to the protests. You are aware that protests, lootings, and riots are happening in multiple locations, yes?

I'm assuming you haven't paid attention to the protests or have seen videos from the protesters' points of view. Some people have shared CNN or some news channel's version of NYPD SUV accelerating a bit forward before being attacked. The real video that came out before that showed the SUV accelerating despite protesters standing in front of them, showing willingness to run over people.

This is exactly why Ben Shapiro's "Facts don't care about your feelings" shit became a meme. I specifically said:
Nope and someone's skin color does not make what they say neither factually nor morally correct.
Where does "feeling black" or "experiencing racism" come into play? We are discussing what happened. There is only one reality and it is knowable, independent of skin pigmentation and life experience. Blake either attacked the police or not. He either had a knife or not. He either came to the house of the woman he assaulted despite a restraining order or he passed by that place and went to calm down a domestic dispute. He either tried to grab a knife or was just minding his own business walking to his car and drive home.

What's your source? two sources I've read have not mentioned this. One or two sources that did were from cops' point of view, and cops are known to lie and plant evidence. Here is the Police account of what happened. This certainly clashes with Blake's lawyer's claims so we will have to wait for a court to establish what is fact and what is fiction. Also, how does a knife being involved not justify shooting? Being stabbed is not as bad as being shot? At that close range he could have easily shot Blake in the head and actually execute him. Are 7 bullets excessive? Hard to say. this is what CNN has to say about this topic:

Kyle, according to his statements and law enforcement, gave himself up to the police and they sent him away since during the riots because they had more pressing measures and Kyle obviously was not a threat and has since been arrested without any complications and charged with 1st-degree murder.

I posted the absolute numbers of the very same statistics you posted. A higher percentage of what? A higher percentage of the general population? A higher percentage of violent offenders? What does an argument being common even mean? It has legitimacy or not? Double as many white people are killed by police, not sure which percentage is low.

I apologize, the "riot inducing" cases should have been written in quotation marks since I meant it sarcastically. The tweet I linked mainly mentions "unarmed" white men being shot. Many justified and more than a few shockingly unjustified. Police reform is absolutely necessary. Aggressive white people not being shot depends on the situation and who is involved. I'm pretty sure the same is valid for black people who don't all get "executed" or else the prison population would not be inflated as it is. "There are videos" is not a great argument.

You seem to clearly separate the protests from the riots as if those are some outside actors while "real" BLM Protesters are the poor ones being used. I just don't see it being so simple. No movement is ever a monolith but just like a wave it has a common direction it goes towards to. With riots happening in multiple cities, prosecution not happening and BLM activists excusing some of the looting it becomes hard to deny that there are more substantial relations.

I have paid more attention to the protests than I should. I am not saying that the whole BLM movement is made out of domestic terrorists and that the only motivation is to cause destruction. Many groups intermingle and the terrible situation is a catalyst for more terrible situations. Protests and riots in various cities.

Willingness to run over people is seen when they actually run over people. Gearing up is what should make those people gtfo and that is what they did once the car started moving. Why should law enforcement let itself be kept hostage by possibly violent rioters? They do not know what is going to happen and have to expect the worst possible scenario. As far as I know, no one was seriously hurt and the NYPD could move on to do their job.

Above is a clip of President Obama roasting Donald Trump back in 2011.

Time stamp 2:26 to the end.

One of the most incredibly underrated moments in recent history.

Guess you were talking about the situation while I was talking about the overall situation.

Yeah, I googled and read that when I was making that post. I hope that's the source you used as that's what I was asking for.

Did Blake try to attack anyone with a knife? Was he making any lunging movement towards anyone? If he was actually dangerous and not just assumed to be dangerous, then yeah, I don't blame the cops for shooting him, just that it's still no reason to shoot someone seven times.

Kyle, according to his statements and law enforcement, gave himself up to the police and they sent him away since during the riots because they had more pressing measures and Kyle obviously was not a threat and has since been arrested without any complications and charged with 1st-degree murder.
Doesn't change the fact that he could have been stopped, and the murders prevented, had the cops actually stopped him. Cops also didn't look for him either, they let him go, and had Kyle not turned himself in, then there's a chance nothing would have been done. The main "pressing matter" cops had was getting ready to use violence on the protesters, otherwise they had enough time and resources to take away Kyle's gun and lock it up, if nothing else.

Ironic that you state Kyle was allowed to walk away because he wasn't a threat, despite carrying a gun, but you don't seem to have a problem with Blake being shot 7x over a knife. Had Kyle been Black, the cops would definitely have arrested him as soon as they saw him, if not shoot him. Had Blake been white, he likely would have not been shot even if he was planning to use the knife to attack cops.

Just to be clear, my problem isn't them not shooting aggressive white people, it's them not shooting aggressive white people but shooting Black people who comply. They shouldn't shoot either, and if they have to, they should shoot to incapacitate, not kill.

They're not likely to kill Black people over drug-related charges, they need them to work in prison. Modern day slavery.

So stores with racist history deserve to be looted? Of course, some places have riots without any protests but most often they coincide. You are the one claiming that:
Yeah, why not, if their racism hurts people? I guess where we differ here is that I value human lives over property, while you place more value on property over human lives.

I am, but I admit that I am wrong for generalizing here, as there are protests that have turned into riots. Problem is, I'm not sure how many were the result of police brutality. Prosecution seems hard to do when there's a lot of people who are masked. But there have been reports of authority figures taking people off the streets and throwing them into vans.

I have paid more attention to the protests than I should. I am not saying that the whole BLM movement is made out of domestic terrorists and that the only motivation is to cause destruction. Many groups intermingle and the terrible situation is a catalyst for more terrible situations. Protests and riots in various cities.

True, I agree.

The cars/SUVs do not need to accelerate quickly, they could move slowly to avoid hurting protesters. The willingness to run over people is there even if they don't succeed at it. The protesters weren't getting violent, but I think this is a matter of debate as some of them were throwing stuff at the vehicles or rocking it a bit. However, they could have reversed and gone the other way if slowly accelerating wasn't an option.

ALso, anyone hear about Trump calling vets who were prisoners of war losers? Didn't he do that publicly few years ago as well?

Haven been here in a while. The questions sure pile up. Here I go!

This isn't a binary thing really... unless of course you think Antifa is some sort of monolithic body. For example there are anarchists in antifa, but to say that all antifa are anarchist would probably be incorrect. The rise of antifa in the US is a direct response to the rise of nationalism.

It's not just a person who is anti-fascist as their are obvious shared beliefs, but that doesn't justifiably earn them a terrorist designation. At least, not any more than any number of far-right groups that have existed for far longer.

And yeah, regardless of the actual hard numbers, far-right groups are responsible for far more deaths in the US. At least Barr cared to mention the Boogaloo Boys in his own writings, but you definitely don't get that kind of even-handedness on this topic anywhere else in the Trump administration. It's a political football to them and nothing else.
The first paragraph of that article states that Antifa is responsible for zero deaths. But I have already show in a previous post that they have killed at least 18 people just from my memory. So not a good start. The rest of the article states numbers without any sources other than a leftist think tank. They also dont take up even a single specific example of a right wing murder so there is nothing for me to refute.

Oh yea, I have not seen this in the thread yet.

A group of antifa hunted down and killed a Trump supporter outside of his home in Portland in an apparent execution. (The shooter also called himself 100% antifa) I wonder, have the main street media in america said anything about this? Did anyone here know about it earlier? Because this is way worse than the Kyle Rittenhouse shootings.

He at once got a big interview in Vice before the police catches him. He later committed suicide by cop by firing at the people arresting him with a gun.

Later another Antifa seriously injured a person by attacking a funeral gathering for the killed Trump supporter with a car.

They don't add US income taxes to internet/telecom taxes to gas taxes to alcohol excise taxes to tobacco excise taxes to sugar excise taxes to road taxes to water taxes to property taxes to all the other taxes to derive the true tax rate.

They only look at income taxes.
Sorry but the USA have no were near as high taxes as say, Sweden. USA has a median tax pressure of about 41%. Sweden has a median tax pressure of 60% This means that for every $100 the median person in these countries make, the American gets to keep $59 and the Swedish person gets to keep $40. Granted, the American would also have to pay for healthcare which is now mandatory with Obama care. And because some states have only one licensed insurance company left it is pretty much a private compulsory monopoly enforced by the state. That probably adds a bit to the tax bill in practice.

Trump is definitely the main antagonist in terms of division. His tweets and interviews don't help and when the opposition calls him out for it and/or criticize him, his hardcore fan-base come rushing in to defend his every word.

Similarly with the Democrats, they say stupid things as well that create division (Biden most of the time) and that's when Republicans come to criticize it.
Are you sure that its Trump that is sowing division and not the left. Here is a little compilation of things leftist politicians have been saying lately.

Find me something that Trump has said in the last year that was worse. Please.

It also doesn't help when terms like "Bolshevik" and "Fascist" get thrown around like it's nothing. No, Republicans, the Democrats aren't Marxist and even the most far left candidate (Bernie, AOC) aren't close to being Marxists either.
But a lot of people in the BLM movement are Marxist and call themselves that. And as long as the left keep allying themselves with BLM they will get called Marxist by proxy. After all they do march with and support Marxists.

Some business owners have said that they're okay with their property burning up if it means preventing Black lives from being lost to police violence.
No they do not support BLM. Here I will translate what they say from hostage speak: Oh god please dont hurt us anymore! We'll do whatever you say just dont beat us or burn down what little we have left!

Those Democrats that you're talking about are corporate Democrats.

People like AOC, Bernie and such are SocDem. It's what the Nords practice. Capitalism with heavy regulation, social programs, and has a bit of leftist influence.
This is one of the major misconceptions that leftist in America have about social democracy. Americans think that all types of socialism are shades of the same thing. But it could not be further from the truth. Historically, in Sweden, from the perspective of a SocDem there is very little difference between a communist and a fascist. Almost none! And the SocDems have zero tolerance for either!

The reasons for this are many, but initially historic. When Lenin won the Russian revolutionary war they held the first and only democratic election in the history of the new USSR. And to Lenins great shock it was won by the Social Democrats that were the allies of Lenin during the war. The communists got much fewer votes but were nevertheless accepted in to a coalition government with the SocDems. But it did not last long until Lenin started a second revolution where he overthrew the SocDem and pretty much hunted down and executed its members as enemies of the revolution. After that Lenin decided to never allow any other parties in any of USSRs "elections".

The European SocDems saw all of this happening and realized that communism was probably the greatest threat to their existence on the planet. In Sweden they institutionalized that SocDems must never cooperate with communists about anything. There have been a communist party in Swedish politics for more than a hundred years. And for most of those years Sweden have been run by the left. But a communist party have never been part of those governments even once. In fact, the communist party is usually the place were the SocDems exile people whom they consider mentally unsound.

Anyway. Americans might think that Bernie and AOC are SocDems. But if they had lived in Sweden their speeches and actions would have gotten them exiled from the party many times over due to the zero tolerance policy.

Back in the eighties the SocDems even had the secret service conduct opinion mapping to find secret communists in public positions so that they could fire and black list them from government jobs. This was highly illegal, but they hated communists so much that they did it anyway.

Its not the arresting people that is an issue, its that activist prosecutors refuse to prosecute anyone and just let every one go.

(I like Tim Pool. His podcast is a good source for american news.)

But fear not because Trump has a workaround for this problem. The DOJ have deputized all the state police in Oregon as Federal troopers. Which means that they can send the people they arrest to federal courts. This in combination with Trump sending a number of federal prosecutors to Portland and other cities means that looters might finally get noticeable punishments again.

ALso, anyone hear about Trump calling vets who were prisoners of war losers?
"Anonymous sources say" If it was not obvious that it was a lie from the beginning. (It reads like what someone who hates Trump think that Trump might say. Rather than what he actually tend to say. ) This has been completely disproved by John Bolton of all people. Bolton hates the president with a fury of a thousand suns. He even wrote a book about all the bad things he remember Trump doing while he was a security advisor for the white house. The thing is, he was with the president all day when these things were supposed to have happened. And if he had heard anything then he would definitely have put it in his book. He also denies it ever happening. If a guy that hates Trump denies it happening. Then it did not happen.

Didn't he do that publicly few years ago as well?
You were again only told half the truth. He did not call veterans in particular losers. He called John McCain (who is a veteran) a loser during the primaries 2015. And he deserved it and much more. McCain was the incarnation of The Swamp and everything thats wrong with american politics. For example: He was one of the main people that got america to arm and train IS in Syria when he was senator. Because he though he could use them to get rid of Assad. Instead he created a genocide machine and caused a bloody civil war that goes on to this day!

Well how many leftist politicians are out there? Oh I don't know him insulting military veterans. Or calling anyone that criticizes him a "radical leftist" when he himself doesn't know what that means.

This is one of the major misconceptions that leftist in America have about social democracy. Americans think that all types of socialism are shades of the same thing. Yes SocDems aren't Socialist.

He called multiple vets losers or attacked them. Lying to me won't work, I actually fact check and have fact checked. Trump himself is the true swamp monster, and he made American politics even worse with his divisiveness.

This is old.

Things are much worse now.

Americans pay the highest taxes in the world.

Every investment and financial guru acknowledges this as mere common sense.

Oh, I heard that book was out but I didn't expect it to actually have receipts like that. Then again, its 2020 so receipts don't matter, reality is fake and covid19 disappeared months ago because it turns out a disinfectant is the cure to it.

They have a vested interest in him looking slightly more competent, I guess

Woodward's also under fire for not revealing this months ago and instead just putting it in his book.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Sad news.

Trumps comments about himself not accepting defeat are starting to hurt the GOP senate races.
His own party is not happy about these comments.

Personally, after all of what happened, I think the democrats can only win if they win in a blowout.

If, for example, Florida is the tipping point of the election and biden wins it by a small margin and only via the mail ballots, i think the republicans would try to seize that chance.
They have a republican gov there and a mostly republican legislature. With that, they can delay the count or even just send whoever they want to the electoral college, based on arguments like "the vote is probably tainted so we send the closest we got in accuracy to the EC".
This is something they can actually do.

I think PA is a major swing state, especially with the way they set up mail-in ballots.

I feel like Trump's just being threatening to scare people away from voting for Biden, but if he does lose, he'll probably challenge the votes and then leave if there's no proof of anything corrupt. But then again, he might not depending on his supporters

Came in the debate just now, it seems like Trump can always cut off Biden whenever he wants and the moderator does shit.

But Biden seems very weak, like he can barely speak

Tuned in to the debate right now... First take: I hate listening to either of them. Second take: Trump won't shut up and will speak whenever. Third: Biden can't really handle getting interrupted.
